Status: My first story. Please take it easy on me. Haha.

Sometimes It Lasts in Love

I'm Gonna Wish I Had A Storm Warning.

(Leslie's POV)
Luke Bryan was calling me?
"Oh, hi Mr. Bryan."
"Please, call me Luke." he laughed.
I had always loved his voice.
"Could you do me a favor Yankee?" He asked me.
"Sure. What is it?"
"Be up at 4:30 in the morning. I'm taking you to see a close friend of mine."
4:30 in the morning?! Was Luke crazy?
"I guess I can be up by then."
"Good, and wear a pair of blue jeans with the holes in 'em. And a red and white flannel, with cowboy boots." He stated.
That was alittle specific. "Uhmmm. Okay?"
"Just trust me on this." Luke spoke.
I couldn't help but wonder why in the hell Luke Bryan wanted to introduce me to one of his friends at 4:30 in the morning. It was strange. I guess I shouldn't over think it. I mean, it was nothing, right?

~Morning~
(Leslie's POV)
My alarm went off at 4:30. Just like I said I would, I got up and put on the outfit Luke had requested. I brushed my hair and put it up in a messy bun. I then applied alittle make up for good measure. I continued to prep myself. Whoever I was meeting this morning had to have been important if I had to wake up so early to meet them.
I heard a knock on my door as I finished brushing my teeth. I quickly walked over to the door and opened it. There he was, Luke Bryan. Standing outside my hotel room.
"You ready Leslie?" he asked me.
"You bet." I said grabbing my keys.
I jumped into the front seat of his pick up truck. There was 3 coffees sitting in a cardboard cup holders that you get from Starbucks.
"I take it we're bringing this other person a coffee?" I asked.
"You're very observant." Luke laughed. "Yeah, we're bringing them coffee."
It took us a few minutes to get there. After we found a place to park, he grabbed the coffees.
"We're here." He stated before jumping out the truck.
I did the same. After closing the door, I followed him to the front door. He whispered to the reseptionist and she pointed down the right hall way. He motioned for me to follow. I had no idea where we were going.
We reached a small door and he put a finger to his lips. As we walked into the room, it seemed as if every one noticed.
"Luke, you're here. And who's this." A tall, slender man asked.
"This here, is little miss Leslie Justine. She's the one little Hunter's got a crush on." He giggled, nudging me.
I couldn't help but smile and blush.
"Hunter should be here any minute. So, Leslie, we need you to go into the recording booth." The tall man told me.
I gave Luke a confused glance, but he only nodded toward the recording booth. I slowly stepped inside, it was pitch black.
I could see out of the glass, but no one could see in. I watched as the door swung open. I nearly fell to my knees when I saw him. He had that drowsy look in his eyes. I could just make out his voice. It sounded so... beautiful.
"We've got a surprise for you Hunter." Luke stated.
Hunter's eyes got alittle wider. "And what would that be?"
"Come on out." The tall man said.

(Hunter's POV)
"Come on out." George said.
Leslie stepped out of the recording booth. She looked so beautiful.
"Leslie, you're the best present I've ever gotten at 5 in the morning." I said running up and hugging her.
After I got done hugging her, she seemed to be caught up in the fact that I did. So, I pushed it alittle farther.

(Leslie's POV)
Hunter kissed me on the forehead! Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Luke smiling. He planned this all out.
"Good morning Hunter," Luke said, handing him his coffee.
"Good morning Luke," he replied.
~Time Laps~
'I wasted time and money, honey, treating you like a queen. I might as well have just thrown matches at a tank of gasoline. Well it all went up in a ball of flames. Yeah, girl, you torched me good. I got burned and learned that I loved you more than I should.'
Hunter sounded so amazing. I kept looking over at Luke and he'd smile at me. After Hunter got done recording More Than I Should, he stepped out of the recording booth. He began to talk to George about a new song that he was writing. I walked ove by Luke and talked to him.
"So, you thinkin' you like him, Yankee?" Luke asked.
"I'm thinking so Luke. He gives me butterflies," I replied.
Just as I looked at Hunter, his phone began to ring.

(Hunter's POV)
I grabbed my phone and looked at the screen. I couldn't believe who was calling me.
"I thought I told you not to call me," I said, answering the phone.
"I just wanted to hear your sweet voice. I miss you Hunter. I love you." A girl's voice rang on the other end.
"Well, I don't love you." I snarled.
I looked over at Leslie. She had a confused look on her face.
"You're just confused, baby. I'm the one you want. Not her." the girl said.
"You're wrong. I don't want you!" I yelled, hanging up the phone.
I looked down, then over at Luke.
"It was her, wasn't it?" he asked.
I nodded my head. How did she get my number?
