“It’s D not D minor.” Zack said.

“God Liv, are you retarded?” Alex teased.

“Sorry I don’t play bass and I have no idea what I’m doing!” I said, re-arranging my fingers on Zack’s bass.

He’d being trying to teach me the opening to one of their songs for a half hour now.

I looked around at Alex lounging on the couch across from me on his phone, and Jack watching
TV and Flyzik reading something.

I laughed to myself.

“What?” Alex asked.

“It’s just a week ago I could never picture myself here.”

“Well we’re all best buddies now!” Jack said, laughing.

I guess we were.

I was so glad I’d given them all a chance, because they turned out to be really cool.

But I was really happy I’d been wrong about Alex, he and I had grown really close in the past week, and with the more pictures of us hanging out, the more people came to our shows.

It made me excited people were coming because of All Time Low, but staying because they liked us.

The boys got so excited when people started asking for pictures and autographs. I had too but
I’d never seen them so happy.

Thinking about our sets I looked at my watch.

“I have to go or I’ll be late for sound check.” I said.

“Are we still hanging out later? Like later-later after our set?” Alex said.

“Yeah, sure. Just text me.”

“Will do, good luck!” He said.

“You’re friends with Alex Gaskarth, right?” A girl who I’d seen at the front of the crowd during
our set asked me.

“Yeah, I am. Did you like our set?”

“Yeah! All Time Low loves your guys so I thought I’d see you. Will you sign my CD?”

“Totally!” I smiled.

“Thanks. Are you guys gonna tour with them?”

“Uhh, I don’t’ know I never thought about it. The guys in my band are huge All Time Low fans,
so they’d die if we did.”

She smiled at the mention of the boys. “What’s your drummer’s name?” She asked shyly.

“That’s Andrew.” I said pointing behind me.

“Are you guys together?” She asked.

I smiled, realizing what she was really asking.

“No, he’s very single, and he’s really nice. Hey Andrew!” I yelled, beckoning him over. “You’ve
gotta sign this girl’s CD.”

He smiled and walked over.

The girl smiled at me, as if saying thank you.

“Andrew, I’m gonna head to the van.”

“Okay, see you later.” He said, beginning to talk to the girl.

I texted Alex, asking if he was done with his set.

Then walked to the van to change and fix my hair.

We were in Florida so we’d probably hang out somewhere cool tonight.

I was excited.

I’d noticed I’d become increasingly excited to see him as the weeks moved on.

I think it was just excitement of having someone else to talk to other than Andrew.

Alex brought me out of my shell.

I wasn’t as quiet, and reserved around him.

I had more fun and took more risks.

It was a different me, that I really liked.

I put on deodorant and some chap stick, changed and I was off.

I could feel that tonight was going to be a good one.

I had a good feeling.
