Last but Not Least

Come out and find me.

"...And then Garrett decided it was going to be a good idea to cut his own hair because he assumed if he did he wouldn't have to go to school." Mrs. Nickelsen continued her story as Reagan laughed and Garrett groaned from embarrassment.

"Boy was he wrong!" Trey said laughing at the boy and Garrett let his forehead hit the table.

"Yeah and who got made fun of for weeks? This kid." Garrett grumbled.

"He's not attractive without hair let's just say that." Trey snickered and Reagan couldn't help but laugh, "Awe. Poor Gar."

"This is why I don't come home." He mumled and Reagan laughed as she rubbed his back, "Oh come on, it's cute."

"Is not."

"Yeah wait until the pictures come out, bro." Trey stated and Mrs. Nickelsen's eyes widened, "Oh! You have to see him when he was little."

Garrett whined as his mom flew from the table. "This is going to be great. Let me go get some popcorn." Trey snickered as he left the dining room for the kitchen.

"I hate my life."

She giggled as she messed with his hair and he turned his face enough to look at her. His blue eyes met hers and she grinned, "It's cute."

"For you."

She brushed his hair back and he pulled her to him until he could kiss her.

"It's fine really. I'm just glad you're here." He whispered raising up to kiss her again.

She smiled and Trey groaned, "Hello, I'm right here. Do you not see me?"

Reagan laughed as Garrett rolled his eyes, "Yeah, I don't care. Shouldn't have walked back in. Where is Lilly? I need something to do while mom embarrasses me."

"Well actually I'm picking her up in 20 if you want to go for me."

"Yes! Yes I will!"

Reagan rolled her eyes and he leaned in kissing her cheek, "I'll be back."

It didn't take Garrett long to pick up the small girl, but lucky for him when he walked back into the house they were all sitting in the living room photo free.

"Daddy!" Lilly shouted and Garrett placed the wiggling girl on the ground and watched her run to Trey.

"Hey baby girl." Trey responded scooping up the small child in his arms. Garrett's eyes moved to Reagan who gave him a smile.

"Rea, let's go for a walk." He said holding out his hand and she didn't hesitate in saying yes. He pulled her from the couch and they left the house quickly.

They started walking aimlessly down the side walk hand in hand. Garrett just wanted some peace and quiet with her for a moment so the comfortable silence was great.

"Trey told me I needed to hurry up and sleep with you because your attitude was becoming too much." Reagan said laughing and Garrett groaned, "Don't listen to him, Rea."

She chuckled and wrapped her arm through his, "Yeah, well what if I want to?" She asked boldly and his eyes shot to hers, "Do you want to?"

"Possibly. Catch me if you can, Nickelsen." She said playfully before removing herself from him and taking off towards the park they were now in view of.

He managed to gather himself and quickly run after her. Of course he caught up to her and grabbed her causing her to squeal as he brought her down into the grass. Lucky for him no one was around and the sun was beginning to set symbolizing night time was near.

The pair breathed heavily as he smiled down at her, "Got you."

She giggled and his blue eyes met hers as he brought his hand to her hair, "Don't get me wrong Rea, I want nothing more then to sleep with you, but I don't want it if you aren't ready."

"It's why I like you, Nickelsen. You're not a normal guy."

"Why? Because I don't want to pressure you into anything?"

"Yeah."

"I don't know what kind of guys you usually date, but no guy should do that."

"Exactly. Which is why I didn't have a boyfriend until now."

He leaned over her and kissed her forehead, "You're too special to lose over something so stupid."

She stared up at him and he grinned, "Really baby, I have no problem waiting." He said seriously. Their sex lives have never been discussed and now it made sense. She was loud and out spoken, but innocent and for some reason that made him more comfortable around her.

"You've never had sex have you?" He bluntly asked and she bit her lip and shook her head no.

"Ok." He answered as if it was nothing. It was odd seeing her in this light. Her being so quiet and vulnerable. It wasn't the girl he was use to and yet in a way he liked it. For once he felt like he had the upper hand.

"Ok?"

"Yeah?"

"Most guys are a little scared by that." She said with a grin.

"Why? Honestly Rea, I like you. A lot. I'll wait until you're ready."

"You are not normal."

He stifled a laugh, "Trust me, I am aware."

She stared up at him and he ran his fingers into her hair, "I don't want you to have any reason to feel uncomfortable around me. I would never pressure you into anything you weren't ready for."

"I know."

He grinned, "Good."

"Is it ok if I'm kind of in love you?" She asked boldly and his heart stopped beating as his fingers froze tangled in her hair, "Are you?"

She nodded and he managed to gather himself, "I, um, I'm in love with you also. So yeah. It's more than ok."

She grinned and he pressed his forehead to hers as he shut his eyes. He felt complete at this moment. Like the weight was finally off his chest and it felt amazing.

"I love you, Reagan Davenport. I love you." He whispered against her lips as his hand slid to her cheek. He pressed his lip to hers softly before pulling away. He helped her to her feet and pulled her to his chest.

"You can't go back now, you know? I need you here with me."

"We will figure it out."

"We will forever have to tour together."

She giggled and he captured her lips with his, "Come on. It's getting dark."

The pair walked back to his house hand in and and Garrett couldn't help but feel like he was on top of the world. At least he had a few more days with her. He didn't really know what he would do afterwards, but for now he had her and he just needed to focus on that.

He swung their hands between them happily and she laughed as they reached his yard.

"So are you going to come visit me at home now?" She asked and he grinned, "Of course."

"I'm actually an adult and live alone." She joked and he shot her a look, "Ha. Ha. Reallll funny."

She giggled and he pulled her into his side as he walked into the house. He lead her to his room feeling himself growing tired. He didn't hesitate in pulling her down onto the bed.

"I'm tired." He mumbled and she kissed his cheek, "Sleep."

"Not without you."

"Ah I see. Well, let me change real quick."

He whined as she left the bed and he watched her pass her suitcase and to his closet. He raised up on his elbows with a grin, "What are you doing?"

"Borrowing a shirt."

He chuckled, "Oh? And who said you could?"

"I did."

He shook his head in amusement as he watched her shimmy from her jeans. His eyes grew wide as she dropped her shirt to the floor. He couldn't fight the hormones now raging through his body as his heart raced rapidly.

She pulled his shirt over her head and let it drop covering her enough and yet making his heart pound even harder.

"Are you trying to kill me?" He asked swallowing the lump in his throat.

"What do you mean?"

He grumbled to himself as he climbed from the bed in order to take his pants and shirt off. She gave him a weird look as she climbed on the bed.

"I think you forget that I find you profoundly beautiful so when you do stuff like that it tends to drive me insane."

"Oh...sorry."

He chuckled and climbed into bed with her, "I'm sure you are."

She laughed, "I didn't think about it!"

"Right."

"Garrett." She whined as she stuck her bottom lip out and he moved in to kiss her.

"What baby?" He cooed wrapping his arm tightly around her waist.

"I'm sorry."

"It's ok." He whispered between kisses. It didn't take long for their kissing to turn into a makeout session and he hovered over her as their kissing intensified.

"Ok. I'm sorry. We need to stop." He panted between their kisses. He was scared if it continued he wouldn't be able to stop himself.

She relaxed her head on the pillow with a sigh and he stared at her causing her to grin, "I love you."

His heart raced once more at her words and he laid down facing her, "I love you too, Rea."

He brought his hand to her cheek and she shut her eyes as he stroked her skin softly. He watched her intently as she fell asleep in his arms. He really hadn't thought through everything yet. He some how just fell head over heels in love with her and he really didn't seem to think through the consequences, but now that he had her here and she had told him she loved him it made him think of the future. Would they just continue to go back and forth to each others homes? Would they last? Would she want to do that? He breathed in trying to calm himself. He needed to relax as of now. There was plenty of time to discuss the options. Plus as long as he had her why did it matter? He sure as hell would have no problem flying across country every weekend if need be. Afterall, he loved her.

Hopefully she would be willing to do the same.
