Last but Not Least

Give me anything.

The show seemed to go by quickly and once the boys were off the stage Reagan had to go set up for the meet and greet they did after every show. She sat down at the table tapping a pen on the surface as she waited on fans. She seemed to be so lost in thought she didn't even notice somone had sat beside her until they spoke.

"What are you thinking about?"

Startled, she glanced over to see Tim with a grin on his lips. She breathed in before speaking, "Oh, nothing much."

"So I believe I got stood up today."

She chuckled, "No, sorry. I got into it with Ross and John and yeah it sucked."

"John and Ross?" He questioned and she nodded, "Yeah, John told Ross we had a date and it went from there."

Tim frowned immediately, "Oh, sorry. Do you want me to talk to him?"

"Who?"

"Ross."

"What? No. It's fine. Really."

He sighed and leaned back into the chair, "I'm sorry...really. I feel bad."

"Why? Ross doesn't like anyone." She replied trying to make the guy feel better. A smile hit his lips, "I don't care if he likes me sweetie, I just feel bad that he took it out on you."

She chuckled, "Oh, not scared of Ross?"

Tim rolled his eyes, "Hardly. Well, I'll talk to you later." He said with a wink as he stood from the seat as a few members of The Maine appeared.

She said goodbye to Tim nd Garrett patted his shoulder as they passed and took the seat he once occupied.

"Hi." He said softly with a small grin on his lips.

Reagan couldn't help but smile at his gentle manner, "Hi."

"Good show."

"You too." She replied and he gave her a smile as Ethan sat on the other side of her as people started appearing.

Fans then took over and she had no time to talk to anyone but them. She signed a poster as Garrett grabbed her marker from her and she shot him a look.

"Mines out." He said signing the shirt a girl gave him as she giggled from the other side of the table.

"So?!"

He chuckled as he continued and said hello to a girl who looked around the age of 14.

"Garrett!" She said grabbing it out of his hand and his mouth fell open like he hadn't started it.

She stuck her tongue out at him and he grabbed her wrist causing her to squirm as she tried to pull it back. He laughed as she squealed trying to keep a hold of the marker.

"Garrett Nickelsen!" She said loudly and he snickered, "Drop the marker."

"No! Let me go."

He shook his head no and she quickly grabbed the marker with her free hand and marked on his face causing him to stop moving.

"No you didn't."

She couldn't help but giggle at the mark that now was down his cheek.

"You're going to get it." He said seriously and she laughed as he reached over grabbing John's marker who was on the other side of him and she jumped up from her chair.

"Garrett..." She warned as she backed up and he smiled mischeviously, "What?"

"Back up."

"Oh no. You started this."

"Garrett! People are waiting to see us!"

"Yeah and I have permanent marker on my face!"

"Well be nice!"

He laughed as he stepped closer causing her to back up into a wall.

"Garrett..." She warned with a stern face.

"Garrett." He mocked pinning her hand to the wall causing her to squirm and he calmly marked dow her face causing her to squeal and making him laugh.

"You're a jerk!"

"I am?! You started it!" He said backing up from her since he had her marker as well. She crossed her arms and he snickered, "Looks good."

"Shut your face."

He laughed his way back to his seat and she sighed unsure why her heart was racing like it was. She returned to her seat only to have Ethan stare at her with a smirk, "Don't deny it ever again."

"Shut up." She grumbled wanting to finish the signing regardless of the marker on her face. About two hours passed and by the time they were done her hand was hurting and she was exhausted. She looked over at Garrett and his eyes locked with hers causing him to smile.

"You look real cute with marker on your face." She mocked and he chuckled, "Oh yeah? As cute as you?"

"Well, not that cute."

He laughed as he stood from the chair, "This is going to be hell getting off. Just so you know."

"Your fault."

He scoffed, "Bullshit."

She chuckled as she got up from the table with a yawn.

"Don't curse Garrett. Not cool."

He threw his arm over her shoulders as they followed the others out, "I can say what I want."

Garrett didn't know where the boldness was coming from but he found himself enjoying it and clearly she didn't mind.

"Yeah well save that for when you can't get that off your face."

"Oh no, you're getting it off."

"Am not."

"Are so." He replied as they walked to the buses.

"I'm on a different bus."

"Your brother loves me, Rea. I'm sure he wouldn't mind me riding."

"Ok, go back to quiet Garrett please."

He chuckled, "Ride with us."

"Oh now you don't care if I'm there everyday?"

Garrett rolled his eyes, "I never cared, Reagan. Just stay."

"I don't want to see John."

"Oh come on, you can't stay mad at him forever."

"Yes I can he's a jerk."

"I mean if you honestly like Tim that much Ross will come around." He said removing his arm from her. He was trying to supportive and he hoped it didn't come out as bitter as he wanted it to.

"...I don't know if I like him like that."

"Then why are you going on a date with him?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"He asked, I was taken off guard so all I could manage to say was yes."

"Do you not want to go?"

"Nah, I'm not really the dating type." She mumbled kicking her shoe in the dirt as they waited for the others. Garrett watched her carefully unsure what she meant by that. Why wouldn't she be?

She looked up only to realize he was staring at her and she spoke, "I just don't have time for it you know? I'm too busy with our music and touring and yeah..."

He nodded before speaking, "Yeah, if you find someone you really like that will change."

"Maybe."

He gave her a grin as their loud crew reached them.

"Reagan, tell Rian that I'm cooler." Pat said causing the girl to chuckle, "He is Rian. Sorry."

"Yeah, yeah."

"Alright see you in Missouri." Ethan said patting John on the shoulder and Reagan grabbed Garrett's hand as she walked backwards to her bus. She decided spending the night with him wouldn't be so bad. Garrett chuckled and pulled her back slowly.

"Garrett..."

"Reagan, stay with us." He said pulling her as he backed up to his bus.

"No." She whined and he nodded, "You said you would get this crap off my face and since you started it you have to stay with me."

"That's ridiculous."

He grinned, "Ross, your sister is staying with us." He said his eyes never leaving the girl in front of him and she rolled her eyes.

"Ok great. Now I can sleep without hearing her shitty music."

"Hey!" She said defensively and Garrett grinned, "No it's ok, I'll subject myself to that."

Reagan rolled her eyes and Garrett held her hand, pulling her onto the bus.

"Now get this off of me."

"You've become bossy." She said as he sat down with a grin, "Rea, will you please help me get this marker off?"

"Better. Mhm. Maybe some alcohol would help."

"There's some vodka in the cabinet." Pat stated and she giggled, "I meant like rubbing alcohol."

"Oh we have some in the bathroom in that first aid kit."

"Great." She said rolling her eyes before making her way to the bathroom and getting what she needed.

She sat beside Garrett and turned his face to hers, "This smells." He said making a face as she brought the cotton ball soaked in the alcohol to his face.

"Stop being a baby."

He rolled his eyes before focusing on her as she rubbed his cheek gently. He dazed off a bit as he took in her features. Her long lashes and how cute she was biting her lip as she focused.

"Done." She whispered bringing him back to reality and all he managed to do was nod. She gave him a grin and he boldly placed his hand under her chin, "Here. I'll be nice." He spoke and she watched him as he carefully brought the cotton to her cheek.

"There." He finally whispered seconds later, rubbing his thumb over her now marker free skin. She forced herself to swallow as he cleared his throat from his nerves, "So, um..."

Before he could finish Tim walked onto the bus, "Oh didn't know you were staying with us." He spoke noticing Reagan.

Reagan nodded as she shifted in her seat trying to hide the blush left on her cheeks from Garrett being so close. Garrett rolled his eyes a bit annoyed with Tim for no other reason then the fact that he ruined their moment.

"I'll be back." Garrett spoke moving off the couch and Reagan shot him a look which he offered up a comforting grin, "two seconds."

She nodded and he quickly flew down to the lounge where Pat and John sat.

He closed the door and the two boys looked over at him weirdly.

"Tell Tim to back off Reagan." He said quietly.

"What?! No you just didn't..." John said throwing his hands up in disbelief.

"Why?" Pat questioned dumbly and John rolled his eyes, "Because Garrett likes her man."

"Really?" Pat asked and Garrett sighed running his hand through his messy hair, "Yeah...I do..."

"But you hate her!"

"I never said that!"

"Sorry, man. I mean, I can't tell Tim to back off, you should have called her earlier. She's fair game. If anything Tim has dibbs." Pat said with a shrug of his shoulders.

John couldn't hide his smirk any longer, "Well Garrett? What's it going to be?"

"She doesn't like Tim so there really isn't any game." He said crossing his arms.

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah. She told me." He responded defensively and John snickered, "Then by all means Garrett. Get her."

Garrett shook his head knowing for a fact he wasn't going to do that.

"Then don't bitch about it." John replied. He knew Garrett didn't have the courage and until the kid grew a pair he wasn't going to sugar coat it for him. Garrett sighed and rubbed the back of his neck in defeat.

"Be a man, Garrett." John said and Garrett rolled his eyes before leaving the room. They both knew he wasn't going to do anything.

"That was longer than 2 seconds, Gar." Reagan said with a smile as he walked back in.

He chuckled and sat beside her once more. Tim was clearly flirting. Garrett could tell just by the look on his face.

Reagan scooted closer to Garrett hoping to give Tim some sort of message. The longer she sat with him the more over it she became. Not that he was a bad person, she just knew how he really was. He was a player. It was just who he was.

Garrett noticed Reagan inching closer as Tim continued to chat which caused the boy to laugh to himself until she was against his side and he instantly grew nervous.

"I'm going to lay down." He whispered to her and she wrapped her arms around his torso, "Don't leave me."

He chuckled, "Come with me so I can listen to your shitty music."

"Hey, it's not shitty."

"Prove it." He responded with a smirk as he grabbed up her hand to pull her from the couch.

"Be back." She spoke to Tim who looked up from his phone, "Oh ok."

She rolled her eyes as Garrett pulled her to his bunk.

"You owe me." He finally spoke and she laughed as she sat on his bed, "I believe I do. Thank you."

"Just tell him you aren't interested. His feelings will not be hurt. He's Tim afterall."

"What if I tell him and he just keeps trying?"

Garrett laughed, "Well that could happen..." He stated sliding in beside her. He leaned his back against the wall and he watched her go through his ipod.

"Looks like my shitty music is your shitty music."

"What? Really?" He asked chuckling as he leaned over her shoulder to look.

"Yep."

"Uh. Well. I don't regret this decision then."

She looked at him and a smile hit his lips. She chuckled before he laid down on his pillow with a sigh. She followed suite and handed him one of the ear phones. The pair laid there listening to Ryan Adams before both fell asleep from exhaustion and Garrett fell into dreams about the girl he'd never have.
