Don't Leave Me Alone in This Bed

*Mathieu’s POV*

“Promise?” he whimpered between his grin with the cutest puppy puppy dog face. God damn, I could never refuse that face.

“Promise.” I said as a grin made it’s way to my face. I was the only one he trusted, so I couldn’t let him down, especially that face.

We made our way to our seats, I slumped down into my chair and watched Samuel sit diagonally across from me. I love french. Not because of the subject but because I could stare at him until he noticed and turn away looking flustered. He was adorable when he was flustered.

“Are you going to just sit there and ignore your girlfriend or what?” I heard a voice interrupt my thoughts and which snapped me back to reality. Before I could open my mouth, Mara sat on my desk.

“Sorry babe, didn’t see you there. Do you forgive me?” I said in my seducing voice. She blushed and turned away.

“Of course, who could stay mad at you?” she whispered under her breath, barely loud enough for anyone to hear. I moved a piece of long blonde hair from her face and stroked her cheek. A small grin made its way to her face. She leaned in for a kiss. Right before our lips touched, the bell rang, we both jumped, startled. Flustered, she walked back to her desk.

“Bye babe!” I yelled across the classroom. Everyone stared at me as she glared at me, telling me not to do that again. I couldn’t help but chuckle. I looked over at Sam, who has his head slumped down and was scribbling in his notebook. Shit, I guess keeping this promise is going to be harder then I thought it would be.

The final bell ran, indicating that it was now lunchtime. Finally, I was starving. I shoved my books into my locker, closed it and dashed to the cafeteria to get in front of the line. I saw Sam walk into the cafeteria so I yelled for him and motioned to come ans join me. When he saw me a big smiled spread across his face.

“You didn’t wait for me, shit head.” he said as he got in the line beside me.
“Sorry, dear.” I chuckled when he turned away blushing. I loved the reaction I got when I called him ‘dear’.

“Hey, hon.” I turned around to see my girlfriend standing there.

“Would you like me to save you a place at my table?” she asked.

“That would be wonderful babe.” I smiled and turned to look at Sam who ,looked kind of disappointed.

“Um, actually make room for two, the amazing Samuel will be joining us.” I said with temptation in my voice. He looked up and gave me a death glare. I knew Mara and him didn’t get along, but I needed to keep that promise.

“A promise is a promise.” I whispered to him as I put a finger over my lips and telling him to keep quiet and just accept it.

“Oh joy, I’ll make sure I save two places.” she said in a annoyed tone. She rolled her eyes and left. I looked at Sam who was looking away, frustrated. I couldn’t help but grin. “Come on, I’ll pay for you.” I said, ruffling his hair. His face lit up. Damn, you can never down that face.

“Who’s that?” Sam asked, pointing to a brown haired girl who was eating alone at a table.

“Ugh, don’t you guys ever listen?!” we both shrugged, saying we didn’t know.

“That’s Jasey, the new transfer student. She came down from Maine, she’s not the most social person but she has a pretty face.” Mara said with disgust, as if she was jealous.

“Well trust me, anything is prettier then that awful face you have.” Sam whispered under his breath taking a sip of his drink. Oh damn. I couldn’t help but burst out laughing, he had the best comebacks. Mara looked like she was going to explode.

“Calm down, babe.” I said in a soothing voice, trying to avoid a fight. Obviously, it didn’t work too well.

“Well, it’s not like you’re any better! You can’t get a girlfriend!” she said, trying to get back at him. He just glanced at her and said nothing.

“Let’s play a game.” he said, finally breaking that awkward silence that had been present for far too long.

“If I can get her to fall in love with me within the next two weeks, you have to be nicer to me and do whatever I say for the rest of the year. And if I fail, you can do whatever you want to me.” Damn he’s good. She smirked, as if she already had a plan all thought out.

“Deal.” she replied, turning her attention back to her food. Oh no. Why did she accept? Everyone knows that he’s the biggest player out there, everyone falls under his charm. My heart started beating faster and butterflies filled my stomach. I didn’t like this bet one bit. I had a bad feeling.
