Kayla McLochland was sure that her father was making a mistake buying a two-year-old colt named Centerfold that showed no promise as a thoroughbred racehorse. That is, until he won The Breeder's Cup Juvenile and was voted best two-year-old. Now the colt is on the Triple Crown Trail and a favorite to win. But his rival Off the Record isn’t going to make it easy and neither is the other colt’s owner Al Rosery. Added on to the pressure is Kayla’s best friend Mik being forced to go off to college, Mik’s new girlfriend, Mik’s ex-girlfriend, and Kayla’s own relationship problems. And in the background is the first racehorse Kayla has ever owned: Silver Chance that could accidently get caught in the crossfire…
