Over and Over Again
Twelve .
I jumped up, paniced . I was covered in sweat and breathing so heavily that I thought I was going to wake up the whole house . I turned to my right and saw Randy fast asleep next to me . I slowly climbed out of the bed and made my way into the hallway to reach to the steps and get to the kictchen to get something to drink . I tip toed down the steps seeing someone sleeping on the couch with the tv on . I got closer only to realize that someone was Ted . He was snorning softly on the couch watching the ball game . I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water . I sat the water down on the coffee table and went to grab a blanket out of the closet . I opened the blanket and laid it across Ted, tucking him in. I kissed his forehead , turned the game off and went back upstairs in bed with Randy .
I crawled in bed and kept my distance from Randy . Of course , this is a girl's perfect dream . Laying next to the viper himself ? Right , but for me , it didn't seem right . Something wasn't right with this situation . Me and Randy ? No . Never . But I couldn't help but reply the little warning signs in my head . Him calling me beautiful . Telling me I did amazing . The small stuff . I was really starting to wonder what was going on in Randy's head because I sure and hell knew what was going on in mine . I didn't know what to think .
Hoping things would fade and things would go back to normal I laid my head down on the pillow and tried to go back to sleep . Right as I closed my eyes I heard Randy sigh heavily and felt and arm reach around my waist .
" Come here , " He whispered , pulling me closer to him , tightening his grip on me , " I was wondering where you went . I was worried you left and went into your room . " He snuggled his head into my shoulder .
" Nope , just went to get some water . " I felt him smile , " Good night , Randy . "
" Good night , Riley . " I closed my eyes falling asleep with a smile on my face , with the Viper wrapped around me .
I felt the warm gaze of the sun on my face as I opened my eyes to find no one in the room . I sat up and sighed , hanging my head . I guess I was wrong , I thought before I heard the door open and I looked up to see Randy with a small tray in his hands .
" Oh , " He looked down , " I didn't know you were awake . " He took one hand and rubbed the back of his head .
" I just woke up . " I said just above a whisper . He looked back down at the tray in his hands and smiled , walking over to me .
" It's not much but I made you some breakfast . Everyone's still asleep . " I looked down as he laid the tray in my lap . It was a glass of orange juice , with a tosted bagel with cream cheese and three strawberries . He kind of hung his head sitting next to me . I place my hand on top of his , gripping it lightly , causing him to look up .
" It's amazing , Randy . Thank you so much . " I smiled at him causing him to smile back at me . I grabbed a piece of my bagel and bit into it . Yum . Tasted as good as it looked .
" Good ? " He asked . I nodded , holding the bagel up to his lips . He took a big bite and started to laugh, causing me to the do the same . We sat in bed as I ate my breakfast and when I finished, Randy jumped up and took my tray down stairs and put it in the sink . I tried to do it myself but he wasn't having that . I laid back down with my hands behind my head . He came back up and slid in next to me , taking the same position that I was in .
" Whatcha thinkin' about ? " He asked .
" Nothing really . Just about a couple things . What about you ? " I glanced at him then back up to the ceiling .
" You , " He mumbled under his breath , " Um , I mean , nothing really either . Work and how this is all going to play out . With our storyline . " He looked at me . What did he just say ? You. The word was replaying in my mind like a broke record. My eyes were still glued to the ceiling fan spinning . I shook it off , for now . I rolled over on my side and looked at him .
" Hey , Ry , " He looked at me , " I've got something I have to tell you . " Just then the bed room door flew open . Cody and Ted .
" Hey , Randy . We hitting the gym today ? " Cody asked . He nodded ,
" Yeah , let me grab my bag and we'll go , " He looked back at me after getting up , " I'll talk to you later . " He shot me a smile and grabbed his duffle and walked out with Cody . I got up and walked over to Ted .
" Thanks for tucking me in last night , sweetheart . " He hugged me .
" It's not problem , Teddy . " I felt him kiss my forehead .
" I'll see you later , try not to kill yourself . " He smiled and ran after Randy and Cody .
I cleaned up around the house a little bit and made lunch for the boys so it was ready when they got home . I couldn't help but still wonder, what it was that Randy had to tell me .
