I'm Sorry.

*Mel’s POV*

Patrick and I sat hand in hand during math.
I didn’t intend to look out our classroom door window but I did anyways.
To find Pete and JJ heading down the hallway.
There daily walk to the principal’s office.
I couldn’t help but laugh at the thought what bad kids they were compared to us.
Patrick and I, I mean.
I felt Patrick squeeze my hand.

“What?” I whispered.
“Making sure you were still alive. You were just staring into space.” Patrick whispered back with a quiet laugh.
“I tend to do that a lot.” I said as I too laughed quietly.
“Um, sorry to interrupt you two but I would like you to go to the office for disturbing my class please.” Mrs. Chow said as she stood over Patrick and me.
“Okay.” Both I and Patrick said in unison as we left towards Mrs. Eva’s room just waiting for the worst.

Knowing JJ and Pete were in there this was going to be awkward.

*Pete’s POV*

I saw Patrick and Mel heading towards Mrs. Eva’s room where JJ and I were sitting.
I saw JJ notice them too and she clenched her fists.
I put my hand on her hand when Patrick opened the door.
She relaxed a bit once Mrs. Eva came in.

“Well well well, isn’t it the freshmans that decided to not wear they’re uniforms today.” Mrs. Eva said with a big sigh as she took her seat in her chair.
“First we’re freshmans so what? Second uniforms are retarded we’ve been wearing them since kindergarten. I’m pretty sure we are all sick of it already.” JJ snapped back at Mrs. Eva.
“If I were you I wouldn’t open my mouth again Ms. Esquibel. I’ve already called you’re mother today.” Mrs. Eva said calmly.
“Fuck you, and this school, and just all of you!” JJ screamed as she got up and stormed down the hallway.

*Mel's POV*

I knew JJ was overreacting at little things, but I couldn’t help but feel bad for her.
I mean I’m giving her shit, school isn’t coming along for her either, and she is moving away in two days.

“Now Ms. Collins why are you here?” Mrs. Eva asked me.
“Same reason I am.” Patrick spoke.
“I was asking Ms. Collins Mr. Stump.” Mrs. Eva said as she shot a glare at him.
“Talking In class.” I spoke quietly.
“How about all of you just go home?” Mrs. Eva sighed as she rubbed her temple.
“Really?” Pete asked excitedly.
“Yes really just go.” Mrs. Eva replied as Travis and some other jocks walked in.
“Let’s go guys Pete said as we glared at Travis as we left the room.

*JJ's POV*

“Mom stop yelling at me I hate school and you so just go away!” I screamed as I slammed my bedroom door to find everything packed up including my bed and other such.
“You know we have two more days here!” I screamed down the hall.
“We’re moving today.” My mom said calmly into my door.
“You said were leaving in two! You are such a liar!” I shrieked.
“Just hurry up and come put your boxes in the back of the moving truck JJ.” She sighed as I heard her walk away.
Today?!
Was she fucking serious?
I haven’t even said goodbye yet and Mel and I are still fighting.
I can’t leave now.
I mean me crying right now will help nothing, but wouldn’t you cry if you couldn’t say bye to your best friends?

“JJ let’s go!” I heard my mom yell.

We were taking a plane all the way to sunny California which I hated at the moment because it’s the place where I knew I would not fit in period.
I hate the sun anyways; here in Chicago it’s not that bad.
When it’s sunny we all go to someone’s house and just chill but it will never be the same for I don’t know how long.

*Mel's POV*

We started to walk in the direction of my house, which meant we were going to pass JJ’s house any second.
I saw a moving truck parked outside of her house.
Looking at Pete and his face expression was not a good sign so of course we all ran over to her house.
I mean I couldn’t hate her for something that necessarily wasn’t her fault.

“JJ we thought you were moving in two days.” Pete asked as we saw JJ carrying a box outside.
“My mom has to be a bitch and lie to me and tell me were moving today. But why would you guys care, your better here without me. Maybe this whole fucking world is better without me here.” JJ said with frustration in her voice.

I noticed she has been crying and it’s not very likely of her to cry.

“JJ I’m sorry.” I piped out.
“Yea sure, but what will it do for me I may never see you again.” JJ said sternly as she ran back into her house to get another box.
“JJ stop being an ass and at least say good bye to us.” Patrick said quite unexpectedly.
“Bye. Are you happy? I have to go. Have a fun-fucking-tastic life.” JJ said sarcastically as she ran back inside to get another box.
“JJ please.” I told her as I saw her carry out the last box.
“Look, I’m sorry okay? Well bye.” JJ said as she gave me, then Patrick, then Pete a hug. She took extra time with Pete.
“Bye JJ.” We all whispered as she waved bye, then got into the car.

We all watched her drive away, but she threw a note out the window.

“Hey look.” Pete said as he too noticed the note.
It read “Guys, I’m sorry I had to go. Here is my cell number so someday one of you call me.” Pete read aloud.
“Pete you have it, she wouldn’t want to talk to me anyways.” I told him as I started down the street towards my house.
“Okay.” Pete said quietly as he walked behind Patrick and me.
