I woke up in a hospital bed.
I failed.
I was so sure I could succeed.
Make Jason happy.

"Teal?"

I looked to my left and saw Jason with tear streaks on his cheeks

"Why are you crying?"
"Because I almost lost you."
"I was doing you a favor.... Taking away the distraction and stress. Let you go on to college...live an easy life..."
"It wouldn't be easy without you in it."

I looked down.
He cupped my face with his hands.
I looked at him as tears seeped out and slid down my cheeks.
He wiped them away.

"Listen to me. I ran so I could think. That was my first mistake. I found you and called for an ambulance. I thought I had lost the love of my life and my child. I will not leave you to raise our child on your own. Fuck college. Fuck football. I only play it for fun. To do something. But now I have you and this child. I love you both so much already. Almost losing you has given me. Reality check. I love you and can't lose you. Please don't do this again. I love you."

He was sobbing towards the end so I smashed my lips to his.
I thought I was fucked.
But no.
He wants to help me.
He loves Me.
We can do this.
