Chapter 66.

Kellin’s face dropped. He looked at me, his eyes wide.
“It’d only be for two months” Justin said “It’s just a start off tour.”
Only two months? Only two? I barely went a day without seeing Kellin. I had no one else.
“There’s.. there’s no way.. we..” Kellin trailed off.
“It’s fine.” I said. I looked up at him. “You’ll be fine. This is what you want to do.” He didn’t look so thrilled anymore.
“But.. our apartment.. and..” He gently touched my ring finger. My heart dropped.
“Kellin, it’s fine. It’s only two months. You can call me.”
“I mean, if you can’t do that, we could always f-” I cut Justin off. I wasn’t going to let Kellin throw this away all because he had to go away for a little. This is what he wanted.
“No, he’ll be fine. He’ll go.” I said. But every ounce of me just wanted to hang on. “When do you leave?” He looked through his phone.
“In three days.” He said. My heart dropped again. Three days? That’s it?
“You can get a whole set ready in three days?” I asked. Justin gave me a look, aware that I was doubting the time frame.
“Yes.” He said. “We have a few songs of our own that he can learn, and then he can play his original. We’re only opening this tour. We don’t need that many.” I bit my lip, looking back up at Kellin. He was less than thrilled about the entire thing.
“And we’re gonna need you to stay here a few hours today..” They said “You know, in order to be ready” He glared at me. I can tell, he already didn’t like this. Fabulous.
“O-oh..” Kellin said quietly. “Um..” He looked at me.
“It’s fine, I’ll sign the papers. It’s okay.” He gave me a half smile. I could tell he was doubting this whole band thing now. But I wasn’t going to let him throw it away. This was his dream, and this was his shot, and he had to take it. He kissed my forehead.
“I’ll call you as soon as we’re done, okay?” He said softly. I nodded.
I headed for the door. I looked back before leaving, and saw him looking at me.
“I love you” He mouthed. I did it back.
Two months wouldn’t be so bad, would it?
