Seemed So Far

This Is The First Thing

We left the park around six, cause we were all hungry and John said he would make us hamburgers and hotdogs at Kennedy's. I honestly didn't feel like eating either of those, since I hated hotdogs, so I decided I would make a small salad for us. We got to Kennedy's and I threw my shoes off by the door. I checked my phone for any notifications or messages but got nothing.

I went into the kitchen and got John the hotdogs and hamburgers out, leaving them of the counter. I grabbed all of the things for a salad, and washed my hands before starting. John came in and took the plate of meat, grabbing mitts too.

The rest of the boys were in the living room watching or playing whatever they were. I started cutting up the lettuce, cucumbers and the peppers, not finding any other vegetables Kennedy had.

I finished with the salad and brought the bowl outside and placed it on the table. I brought back out the dressings, plates glasses, drinks and silverware. Once I finished setting up the table, I called the guys out. I sat down in my seat waiting for everyone else. John set down the meat and sat down across from me. Everyone else joined. I was in between Garrett and Jared.

They all dug in, and we laughed and talked about life stories. Just enjoying the cool night.

Sooner or later, we all finished. The guys' stomachs bloating. I laughed.

"That was delicious," Pat commented. "Great salad by the way Marin."

"Thanks Patty." I smiled.

We started cleaning up, the boys carrying in their dishes and the leftover food. I was washing dishes, while John and Kennedy were putting away the leftovers. Garrett came in and helped dry the dishes. I smiled at him, thanking him for helping.

I turned the water off, drying my hands and watched Garrett dry the last dish. John and Kennedy went into the living room with Jared and Pat, when they finished with the food.

"Are you going home tonight?" I couldn't help but ask.

"Do you want me too?" He whispered, turning toward me.

I shook my head. It was the truth, I wanted to sleep in his arms again, I didn't want to let him go. I wanted to be close to him.

"Good thing I packed a bag of clothes before I came here," he smirked.

My mouth hung open, "So you just knew that I was gonna let you sleep over again, huh?"

He smiled and hugged me. "I was hoping."

I smiled, giving his stomach a squeeze.

I finished cleaning up the kitchen before going back out into the living room.

"I'm heading home guys," I said.

They turned towards me, Pat frowning.

"Do you have to?" He asked, pouting his lip.

I walked over to him and slung my arm over his shoulders, "A girl needs her beauty sleep, Patty." I kissed his cheek and he gave me a hug. I hugged the rest of the boys, Kennedy telling me he'd text me tomorrow. He honestly didn't need to tell me, he texted me everyday. But it still felt good to hear him say it.

Garrett said bye to the boys too, and I was very thankful that they didn't say anything about me and him. If I wanted Garrett to sleep over, then I wanted him to sleep over. It really wasn't any of their business.

We walked out and started walking our way back to my house. This time, he put his arm around my waist, pulling me closer. I couldn't help but smile. When we got in my driveway, I waited for him to get his things out of his car. We then walked in and turned on the lights. I grabbed two drinks from the kitchen and set them in the living room. I didn't see him anywhere so I went upstairs to change into pajamas.

I came back down and made sure the door was locked. I turned and saw him sitting on the couch, flipping threw the channels. I walked over and say down next to him. I could feel him looking at me but I didn't move.

"Come here," he said. I looked at him and he had his arms open, ready for me to occupy them. I smiled and moved closer, snuggling into him. God, he was so warm. I smiled when I felt his arms wrap around me and felt him press a kiss to my head.
