Day Ten.
“That was the best sleep I’ve had all tour.” Sarah smiled
He chuckled “that was the best sleep I’ve had in 8 months.”
“I missed waking up next to you.”
“mm, me too.” he smiled before kissing her
“Can you believe they’re engaged?”
“Eric asked me to be best man.”
“He did?”
Nick nodded “yeah, but I don’t know it’s weird he hasn’t asked John or someone.”
“John’s an ass.” Sarah laughed
“I heard that.” came from a bunk across the walkway
“that was the idea.”
Nick chuckled “you wanna do something today?”
“like what?”
“your call.”
“well I could happily stay here all day, so I think you should decide.”
He kissed he gently “then that’s what we’re doing today.”
And that’s what they did until Nick had to go for soundcheck and Jess came to find Sarah.
“Have you been in here all day?” She asked when she found Sarah on her laptop in her bunk.
Sarah nodded “yep, me and Nick watched movies and cuddled all day.”

“Where the hell have you been all day, man?” Halvo asked when Nick stepped onto the stage
“In bed with Sarah”
Justin sighed “Dude, seriously, I don’t wanna know that.”
“We watched movies in her bunk.”
“When are you getting back together officially?” Andrew asked, adjusting the drum stool
“I don’t know.”
“Are you going to?” Justin added
“Obviously.” Nick rolled his eyes “what is this, twenty questions?”
“what, I miss Nick and Sarah.”
Nick smiled “I miss Nick and Sarah too.”
“then get her back, dammit.” Eric sighed
Nick sighed too “she told me yesterday she’s not ready for another relationship yet.”
“Whether it’s official or not, she’s in one.” Andrew simply stated
Nick nodded “you’re right, I’ll speak to her later.”

“I don’t see why you and Nick aren’t official again yet.” Jess said
“It’s complicated.”
“How is it?”
“Me and Joel just broke up.”
Jess rolled her eyes “you’re pretty much together anyway though.”
“Joel cheated on me though, I need to get over that.”
“I get that but Nick’s in this too.”
“He said he could wait.”
“It doesn’t mean he wants to.”
“I know, but he broke my heart. I want to see that I’m not going to be jumping straight back into another dead end relationship.”
“He broke his own heart too, Eric and I saw it first hand. You can trust him.”
Sarah nodded “I know but I just want a little time.”
“Promise me you want him back.”
“Like you even have to ask.”
“You’re right what was I thinking.”

Nick found himself in Sarah’s bunk again, holding the small girl close in his arms.
“Can we talk?” he asked quietly
She rolled in his arms to face him “mhmm.”
“Why can’t we just make it official?”
Sarah sighed “why do we need titles right now? I’m in love with you, isn’t that enough?”
“No.”
She sighed again “well then I can’t help you right now.”
“what’s the problem with being my girlfriend?”
“I’m not ready for it again, all I’m asking is a week, maybe two, Nick.”
“why though?”
“Seriously, Nick? I told you I’m not ready for another relationship yet.”
“you’re in one whether you like it or not.”
She rolled her eyes and shuffled from his grip climbing from the bunk “well then you can count me out.”
He chuckled “that was the best sleep I’ve had in 8 months.”
