You Are the Greatest Thing That Ever Happened to Me

"Adelaide Summers!" I heard someone yell while I was walking to school, I turned around to see who it was and I saw Chesca running towards me
"Dude, you know I hate it when you call me by my full name" I groaned
"Ugh Fine, but dude, you should just hop in my car, we'll drive to school" she laughed
"Who you with?"
"With Sierra and Paige" she smiled. Chesca , Sierra and Paige are my best friends, we've been close to each other ever since first grade and the people in school would call us inseparable, Chesca is a red head and she's my height and she's in love with designer clothes, Sierra has long black hair with pretty blue highlights and she loves designer clothes as well and she's bit taller than Chesca and I, Paige has a 'not too short but not too long' dirty blonde hair which she pulls up in a bun and I like her clothes because we have the same taste and she's about Sierra's height, and as for me, I have long brown wavy hair because I'd pull it up on a messy bun then let it loose later on and I have this weird obsession over bracelets. We're all different from each other but we got each other's backs.

"Hey, Adelaide!" Paige and Sierra greeted as I entered Chesca's garage
"Hi Paige!" sup?" I smiled
"Nothing much, ahh I forgot to study for that history test" she groaned
"To hell with that! Who the fuck studies for history?" Sierra laughed
"Hey I studied for that!" I defended then we all laughed, our laughter was interrupted by Chesca
"Hey guys listen up!" she announced "I need to tell you all something" she said excitedly
"Holy shit Chesca! Are you pregnant?" I gasped
"Fuck no! Adelaide what the fuck!" she laughed "I was just gonna say that.. I think I know who my date for prom is" she giggled
"Who the fuck?" Sierra asked
"Welp" Chesca started as she drummed her fingers to her car "Kyle Pattinson, motherfuckers!" she yelled, we were dumbfounded with her news, I mean Kyle Pattinson was like one of the hottest soccer players in our school.
"What the fuck? How did this happen" Paige asked excitedly as soon as she got to the passenger seat while Sierra and I were at the back
"Well, we hanged out last night during detention and we talked about a lot of shit and then he asked me who my date for prom is and I told him I didn't have one yet then he said 'uh, is it okay if I ask you out? because you're a really cool girl and I'd really enjoy prom with you and I want to spend my senior prom with the prettiest girl ever and I want it to be a memorable nigt for me so, I really want to ask you out'. It was like the sweetest thing ever guys and I totally said Yes" Chesca blushed as she drove
"Ah! I got it" Sierra said "This is like God's gift for you, I mean prom's gonna be on December 23rd, right before Christmas eve so I so I guess this is a blessing in disguise" she winked
"Great point" I laughed, prom is usually held on December 23rd which is a really great day because we have time to buy our dresses and stuff since Christmas break started on December 4 and we're gonna go to prom then resume Christmas break then go back to school on January.
"Shit" I sighed "I usually spend Christmas break at dad's. How are we gonna buy our dresses?" I frowned
"Then we'll go with you, duh!" Chesca laughed
"Yeah! My parents know you so well and they know you wouldn't be a bad influence on me" Sierra added
"Same here. my family loves you!" Paige winked
"So you really think your parents will allow you?" I asked
"Yeah!" they said in unison
"And you're sure you wanna spend your Christmas break with me, at Sydney?" I asked again
"Yeah!!" they said again but this time louder then we all laughed after that, Sydney with my friends on Christmas break? pretty stoked about that.
We got to school, got in class and tried not to freak out in school since today is December 3, which means, today is the last day before Christmas break.

After school, Chesca gave us a ride home and they told me they'd give me a call to update me on their parent's permission and I agreed. It was a boring Friday night, mom was out with her friend Laura because they always have coffee on Fridays. I was just watching a movie while eating pizza when the doorbell rang, I groaned and got up from the couch, I opened the door and I saw my friends with their bags and chips and other stuff and they yelled "Surprise!" which gave me a mini heart attack.
"What the fuck?" I laughed moving out of the doorway so they could enter "What're you guys doing here?"
"Our parents allowed us!!" Chesca jumped excitedly
"And we figured you're spending your Friday night alone , which is completely true, so we asked if we could sleep over here since we're leaving tomorrow" Sierra added
"And before you ask, Yes our parents allowed us to do this" Paige chuckled
"You guys are the fucking best!" I hugged them

My Friday night was turned around, it was really fun, we exchanged stores, watched movies and we all ended up sleeping on my bedroom floor. I woke up when I heard mom's car pulling over in the driveway, I looked around and saw my friends sleeping so I walked slowly to greet mom
"Hi sweetheart!" she smiled as she climbed the stairs
"Hi mom!" I greeted then kissed her cheek "My friends are here for the night. Sorry if I didn't ask permission from you first"
"It's okay honey. you deserve a fun friday night!" mom laughed
"Thanks mom! night, love you!" I smiled
"Love you too, Adelaide!" she hugged
