You Are the Greatest Thing That Ever Happened to Me

Mom woke us up with a knock, "Good Morning, girls! Breakfast is ready and Adelaide honey, your dad's picking you guys up at 12" she said
"Okay mom" I mumbled and mom left, I got up from the floor, I saw Paige's legs on my bed but her body was on the floor, Chesca was in the same position, Sierra was laying above their heads and I was laying beside Sierra, typical positions when we had sleepovers.
"Ahh, morning" Chesca yawned
"Today's the day we leave for Sydneeeeyyy" Paige cheered with her eyes closed
"And today is officially the start of Christmas break" Sierra added
"Haha! Y'all are right. Now up and at em!" I laughed

We ate breakfast, laughed and chatted with mom then went up to clean my room after then we got ready then we waited for dad, while we were waiting my friends called their parents and said their goodbyes and regards and stuff. Then 30 minutes later my dad arrived

"Hi Adelaide!" Dad cheered as I opened the door
"Hey daddy!" I laughed as I hugged him "These are my friends: Chesca, Paige and Sierra" I introduced
"Hello!" Dad smiled
"Good afternoon, Mr Summers!" My friends greeted politely
"Thank you for allowing us to stay in for Christmas break" Chesca smiled and the two agreed with a nod
"Oh hello Adam!" mom waved as she walked out of the kitchen to the living room
"How are you Taylor?" Dad smiled as they hugged each other, if there's one thing about my parents, they're civil.
'Oh I'm doing fine thank you. You?" Mom laughed
"Fine as well" dad chuckled "Well, we better get going! Our flight leaves at four"
"Bye auntie!" My friends said to my mom (which by the way they call 'Auntie')
"Bye mom! I love you! You be careful here okay?" I smiled and kissed her cheek
"Oh I will, you be a good girl okay?" Mom said and I nodded
"Adam, take care of these girls okay?" she added and dad laughed and said yes "Okay, have fun! I love you Adelaide!" she smiled and gave me a tight hug

"So, how's school?" dad asked as we were ordering food
"Great" I laughed
"No boys?" Dad asked again
"Dad, none" I groaned and my friends tried to suppress their laughs
"Is she telling the truth" Dad asked them
"Oh yeah, Mr Summers, Adelaide has no boyfriend" Paige smiled and the two agreed
"See dad? Just give it up" I mumbled, I don't wanna talk about that non existent thing they call love because first of all, my mom and dad got divorced, after all those I love yous and those I dos that they say, what happened in the end? nothing, just a miserable break up. And second of all, because my past boyfriend Brayden broke my heart, you see Brayden and I were together for three years from Freshman to Junior year, we were the perfect couple, we even won the crown to Prom King and Queen last year, people thought we would be together forever but they were wrong, I caught Brayden making out with the head cheerleader on the bleachers four months ago, the scene was pretty dramatic, I walked away and Brayden chased after me then held me in his arms "Why are you doing this to me" I cried as I pushed him away and all he could say was "I'm sorry I love you" then I told him to Fuck off and I told him that it was over and then *poof* Brayden and Adelaide was no more. I never had another boyfriend after him, it was a really traumatic experience.

My thoughts were interrupted by the waitress serving our meals, we ate lunch, we got to the airport, boarded in at 3 and we left at 4, we got to Sydney at about 5:15.

"Oh wait, I almost forgot to tell you guys that you'll be staying at a hotel for the whole break" dad announced as he drove, damn Sydney is a beautiful place.
"Really?!" we all shouted in unison
"Yeah! You see our family friend, the Gomez family, will be spending their Christmas here in Australia, they're from Arizona and we just thought that you girls could bond with their sons since you guys don't know anyone here and they don't as well, so we thought it'd be a great idea" dad explained "They'll be staying with you at the hotel"
"Oh okay cool, but how many days are we gonna be there? Isn't that too expensive?" I asked
"You don't have to worry about that, I own a suite there so you're staying there up until the end of your break" dad laughed and our jaws seriously hit the ground
"THAT'S SO AWESOME!" we said in unison. holy shit, Sydney, with my friends, in a hotel with new people? so fucking stoked
"But you have to be nice to the Gomez brothers okay?" dad laughed and we nodded
I haven't met the Gomez family yet, I sure do hope they're nice people.
