You Are the Greatest Thing That Ever Happened to Me

Jess and I got ready at around 6pm. It was really funny because we wore the same thing, a tank top, shorts then sneakers, not like what other girls wear on parties, a super duper short dress and high heels, we didn't have to impress people, it's Stephen's birthday and that's what matters. Stephen, oh yeah right he's not talking to me and I don't even know why. It really upsets me because I think I did something bad which pissed him off. So tonight, I'll ask him what's wrong and maybe we'll make up and everything will be back to normal.

The doorbell rang and Jess answered it, which was a bad idea
"Hey hey hey!" John shouted really loud, and Stephen walked behind him
"Ugh, John. You don't have to shout, we can hear you" Jess pouted
"Sorry" John frowned but Jess laughed and so did he, to be honest I think they'd be a cute couple "Wanna take a walk?" John asked and Jess nodded
"Hey, I'm not yet finished, I haven't blow dried my hair yet" I said
"Okay we'll wait for you" Jess smiled
"No no, it's okay, I'm just kidding. You guys can go ahead, I'll just catch up" I laughed
"You sure?" John asked and I nodded
"You guys go ahead, I'll wait for Adelaide" Stephen said. So John and Jess left so Stephen and I were alone in the room.
It was really awkward, I was blow drying my hair while Stephen sat on my bed and watched me. I felt uncomfortable, he was just staring at me, not even saying anything. I thought I could ignore him but I couldn't so I spoke up
"What?" I asked as I turned around to look at him
"What?" he asked
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked as I walked to my bed and sat beside him
"Oh so I'm not allowed to look at you?" he smirked and he looked extremely sexy
"No but.." I stared but I paused, thinking if I should go on
"But what?" he asked
"You weren't even talking to me awhile ago. I thought you were mad at me" I sighed "Are you?"
"Me? Mad at you?" Stephen said "I though you were mad at me"
"What why?" I laughed
"Well.." he said then he smirked again
"Well what?" I laughed then I slapped his shoulder "Seriously, what?"
"You didn't say Happy Birthday to me" he pouted
"I didn't? I did!" I insisted
"No you didn't, you just smiled at me and said Hi. And that was it"
"Aww, I'm sorry, Stephen. You have every right to be angry at me"
"What no. I'm not angry"
"I'm sorry, I'm really really really really sorry" I said
"It's okay" he laughed as he messed with my hair
"Hey! I just fixed that" I pouted as I brushed my hair again
"You look fine" he smiled
"Thanks" I smiled "But seriously though, I can't believe you noticed that I forgot to say Happy birthday"
"Why?" he asked
"Well, I didn't even notice it myself" I shrugged
"I remember every word you say y'know" he grinned
"Really? Why is that?" I asked
"Because everything you say means a lot to me" he smiled, and I couldn't help but giggle. And there it is again, Stephen and I are back to normal. He's sweet again and he's making me laugh again
"Wow that is really flattering" I giggled "So we're cool now okay? Not awkward anymore"
"Definitely" he nodded
"Oh and Stephen" I said
"Yeah?"
"Happy Birthday" I smiled

We drove to a bar near the hotel. The Gomez family are friends with the owner of the bar so Stephen asked him if he can throw his party at the bar and the owner agreed. The bar was closed for the day, except for Stephen's guests.
There were a lot of people already when we went inside the bar, all of them greeted Stephen, who was holding my hand, a Happy Birthday
"Hey Stephen, aren't you gonna introduce us to your new friends?" one of his friends asked
"Oh yeah, uh. This is Adelaide" he said as he patted my shoulder "And over there with Brian is Sierra, the one with Josh is Paige"
"Nice to meet you" his friend smiled as he shook my hand "I'm Cooper" and I smiled back at him. Cooper was friendly, he offered me a drink and he asked me a lot of questions, he seemed so interested in me.

The night went by, there were a lot of drinking and dancing and a lot of drunk people, Cooper was with me all along while Sierra was with Brian, Paige was with Josh and Jess and John accomodated the guests, Stephen was nowhere to be found
"Hey Adelaide" John shouted through the loud music
"John! Hi" I shouted too, the music was too loud and we hardly heard eachother
"Hey John" Cooper, who was beside me, waved
"Oh hey Coop" John smiled nervously "I didn't know Stephen invited you, haven't seen you around"
"Well yeah he did" Cooper nodded
"Cool" John smiled "Hey Adelaide, have you seen Stephen?"
"No I didn't" I said
"Weird, you were with him earlier" John said
"Yeah well, we parted when the party got wild"
"He's not with the others either" John sighed "Where could he be?"
"Do you want me to find him?" I offered
"Yeah, man. We could look for him" Cooper agreed
"That'd be nice. Text me if you see him and I'll text you if I do"
"Okay" I smiled.

Stephen was nowhere to be found, the place was not that big but it was impossible to look for the birthday boy. Cooper asked some people if they saw Stephen, some said they did and pointed the direction. But still, we didn't find him.

"Hey you wanna dance?" Cooper asked as we were taking a break from our search, he was a little drunk and tipsy but I didn't see anything wrong with dancing
"Yeah sure" I smiled. We went to the dance floor and we danced, everything was going fine but then Cooper started to dance all dirty and stuff. I felt his hands on my waist and I knew something was up, then he slid his hands from my waist to my butt and he danced all sexy, it disgusted me and I pushed him away

"What the hell are you doing?!" I shouted
"Aww, baby. Relax" he smirked as he pulled me against him then he kissed me. He was drunk, I knew it, I could taste the alocohol in his lips
"Cooper. Stop!" I said as I pushed him away once again
"Baby trust me"
"Don't Baby me. Stop! You're drunk" I said
"I'm not drunk baby. C'mon, no need to be all cranky" he said as he pulled me against him once again and started kissing ny neck
"Cooper. Stop it!" I said, I tried to push him off but his grip got tighter and tighter everytime I tried and it hurt and I started to cry, People didn't seem to notice since the music was too loud
"Cooper. Stop it you're hurting me" I cried as I tried to push him away but it was no use.
The next thing I knew Cooper was on the ground and Stephen was punching his face, Cooper's nose was bleeding and he punched Stephen back. People were trying to break them up but Stephen told them to stay back as he punched Cooper. John, Josh and Brian came and tried to stop him but Stephen was so mad and he refused to stop.
"What the fuck are you doing huh Coop? She told you to stop, you don't have the fucking right to disrespect her like that" Stephen shouted. Stephen's fists were bleeding and Cooper was begging him to stop since his face was full of bruises and blood
"Stephen!" I finally shouted as I ran to him and pulled him away from Cooper "Stephen stop" I cried "Please" I was really surprised when he did, he punched Cooper one last time and then he got off of him and then he hugged me
"Are you okay?" he asked and I just nodded, and cried in his arms.
"Stephen, take her back to the hotel we'll take care of this" John said and Stephen nodded
"Dude, you share rooms with Jess tonight okay? I'll take care of Adelaide" Stephen said then we left the place.

I couldn't stop crying, I felt so weak. I ruined Stephen's birthday.
