Well, Who's to Say You'll Have to Do it Alone?

That night i got a call from my aunt Erica, she invited me, Jack and Caitlyn to a family pool party. I guess she heard about Caitlyn from my mom. The next day we went to my aunts house and went to the backyard and everyone was hanging out.

"Hi Alex!" my aunt said

"Hey" i said

"Im so glad you three came!. And this must be Caitlyn i assume?" she said

"Yep" i said

"Shes so adorable!. You dressed her very cute today" she said and we did, i put her in her bathing suit and yellow sundress

"Thanks" i said

"How old is she?" she asked

"Almost 3 months" i said

"Wow" she said

"Mhm" i said

"Also i got you a gift for her" she said handing me a bag

"Wow!, i swear i keep getting presents for her. But thank you" i said passing Caitlyn to Jack and i opened the bag. There was a little All Time Low shirt and a teething ring shaped like a teddy bear

"Aww" Jack said

"This is seriously so adorable!, thank you" i said

"Of course. Its really hot out, are you gonna take her in the pool?" she asked me

"If she lets me. We have a blow up pool at home and we brought her in it and she freaked out" i said

"Well we have one of those floats for babys if you wanna put her in it" she said

"Okay, maybe later" i said

"Alright" she said

I introduced everyone to Caitlyn, everyone loved her. I talked to my cousin Lydia who has a one year old, it was nice to talk to someone who has a child and gets what im dealing with. A little while later Caitlyn started getting really fussy.

"Whats wrong?" i said

"Shes probably hot, its like a desert here" Lydia said

"Is that it?, are you hot?" i said and fanned her with a magazine and she calmed down

"Yep. Told you, heat makes babys irritable" she said

"Well babys and me have somthing in common" i said

"Take her in the pool. Jack and a bunch of people are in there" she said

"Yeah i probably should. Its super hot out" i said taking Caitlyns dress off her and i got up

I got in the pool and put Caitlyn in the tube, she started to freak out a little bit. I took her out of the tube and handed her to Jack while i got on the lounge float and then i took her back. She seemed to calm down and laid her head on my shoulder.

"So freaking cute!" Jack said

"I know" i said

"Shes so relaxed now" he said

"Yeah" i said

"She really adores you" he said

"Mhmm" i said getting a little handful of water and pouring it on her back

"Ehhh" she whined

"I dont think she liked that" he said

"I know but its really hot out. I felt like she needed it" i said

"True" he said

"Mnnnnn" she whinned into my shoulder

"Whats wrong baby?" i said and she started crying

"Maybe its the pool, i'll push you two to shore" Jack said

"Yeah" i said and Jack pushed us and i got off and sat on the deck

"Aww whats wrong?" my aunt asked coming over with my mom

"I dont know. Guess she really hates pools, i should've known not to bring her in. Shes to young" i said rubbing Caitlyns back

"Its fine Alex, your a first time parent. You'll make mistakes" she said and i nodded

"I guess" i said and Caitlyn threw up down my back and then coughed and threw up again

"Ewww!" Jack said from the pool

"Ive never had her puke on me twice and ive never heard her cough like that" i said looking up at my mom worried

"Alex its fine. You threw up on my countless times during the first year. Its normal for babys to get sick like that, just keep a eye on it and make sure it doesnt get worse" she said

"Okay" i said

"Here i'll take her, you go hose off" my aunt said and i handed her Caitlyn and got up to go wash off

The rest of the day was fine, Caitlyn didnt puke anymore after that but was really moody. Later that night Rian and Zack came over to hangout and see Caitlyn. Rian and Zack were keeping Caitlyn distracted while me and Jack were cooking and after a while Rian yelled for me.

"What?!" i said walking in the livingroom and i saw Zack basically pissing his pants in laughter and holding Caitlyn on his lap and Rian had puke on him

"Your daughter just projectile vomited and it hit me" Rian said

"Oh my god" i said trying not to laugh

"Its not funny dude" he said

"You right its not. Is my baby alright?" i said picking Caitlyn up

"What about me?" Rian asked

"Oh your fine, calm down. Shes the one that got sick after all" i said waving his off

"Whatever" he said and she threw up all over me twice

"Not again!" i said

"Maybe shes sick" Zack said

"I dont know" i said getting worried

"There is a 24 hour thing going around" he shrugged

"I have no clue whats going on. But im really worried guys" i said rocking Caitlyn as she balled her eyes out

"Well shes pretty warm. He might be right" Rian said walking over and feeling her forehead

"Damnit!. She just got sick!, how is this possible!?" i said

"Shes a baby, shes got a low immune system. It'll be fine" he said

"I hope so" i said snuggling her to my chest
