Well, Who's to Say You'll Have to Do it Alone?

Me and Jack ate breakfast and showered and then left to go get stuff for Caitlyn. We went to babys r us, i felt extremely awkward in this place. While we were walking down isles my phone wrang for the thousandth time.

"Who is it this time?" Jack asked me as i pulled my phone out of my pocket

"Who do you think it is?" i sighed rolling my eyes

"Brook?" he said

"Yep" i said

"Just answer it" he said

"Fine" i said

"Good" he said picking up a box of bottles and looking at it confused

"Hello?" i said answering my phone

"Alex?" Brook said

"What?" i said

"Uhmm i wanted to possibly meet up to talk about Caitlyn...can we do that?" she said

"I dont no your not the most trustworthy person right now" i said as Jack showed me the bottles and i nodded my head and he threw them in my cart

"Alex please" she said

"Fine. 1 good with you?, im kinda in the middle of getting stuff for our daughter that i had no clue about until last night when my neighbor found her on our doorstep" i said

"Fine" she said kinda upset

"Okay. Meet me at starbucks" i said and hung up

"So what happened?" Jack asked leaning against the cart while he pushed it

"Im meeting up with Brook to talk about Caitlyn" i said

"Who?" he said

"My daughter" i said

"Right, your gonna yell at her right?" he said

"Shes gonna see a side of me shes never seen, and will never wanna see again" i said angry

Me and Jack finished shopping for Caitlyn, but we didnt do it alone we had the help of some of the mothers shopping. After we finished shopping i dropped Jack off at home and went to meet up with Brook. I got to starbucks and Brook had two coffees infront of he, she looked nervous when she saw me.

"Hi" she said as i sat down

"Lets get this over with" i said

"Look i know your mad-" she started and i cut her off

"Mad?, mad!?. You think im mad?, thats a understatment. Try beyond pissed. How could you do this!?" i said yelling

"Alex you dont understand" she said

"Explain, and dont say i couldnt handle it" i said sitting back

"It was to much for me!, i wasnt ready to be a mother!" she said upset

"And you think im ready to be a dad!?, you know this might be different if i had known you were pregnant but you kept it a secret. Then to top it off! you left her on my doorstep!. This whole situation is messed up as hell" i said

"I was afraid you'd be mad if i told you about her" she said

"Well clearly you dont no me" i said

"Alex im sorry" she said

"Dont apologize to me, apologize to the daughter you left!" i yelled

"Keep your voice down" she said embaressed

"Whatever your such a failure, im gonna make sure your daughter never knows you!. You'll be hearing from my lawyer, so if you decide one day you wanna see her you cant!" i said standing up and walking away, that was harsh but it felt so good

I drove home completely upset, that talk really messed me up. I got home and Rian and Jack were sitting on the lawn with Caitlyn. I got out of the car and went to sit with them.

"Hey man, Jack called me about Brook. Cant believe it" Rian said

"Yeah" i said

"Did you yell?" Jack asked

"Of course!, she deserved to be yelled at!" i said

"Good" Jack said as Caitlyn chewed on Rians finger

"She looks like you dude" Rian said

"I know, she looks like her mother to" i said looking at her, she had my hair and eyes, she had Brooks nose and smile

"Shes a cutie" Jack said

"Yep" i sighed picking her up

"You alright?, you look like your about to burst into tears" Jack said

"Mhm, just trying to figure it all out. I dont think im ready for a child you know?, they cry alot. Loud noises give me like major anxiety" i said and Jack laughed

"Well your not doing it alone so thats the important part. We'll take shifts, you know?. We'll be like a married couple" he said making me smile

"And you have me and Zack to babysit, and everyone else. It'll be fine" Rian said

"Thanks guys" i said and Jack pulled me into a hug

"I love you man, and you to little lady" Jack said tickling Caitlyn making her giggle and me laugh
