Well, Who's to Say You'll Have to Do it Alone?

-Fast forward a few weeks-

Caitlyn is almost four months now and is active as hell, i cant leave her alone for two second without her putting somthing in her mouth. Today i decided to get her out of the house. We met up with Rian and Zack to get ice cream and when she saw Them she got excited.

"Hey. Thanks for ordering" i said as Caitlyn kicked, shes fallen in love with Zack over the past few weeks as well

"Hey. And its no problem" Rian said as i sat down

"Shes missed you guys" i said

"I can tell. Hey cutie" Rian said tickling her and Caitlyn grabbed his finger and put it in her mouth

"Aww" Zack said

"I have to say. As she gets older that is starting to freak me out. Caitlyn you dont know where uncle Rian has had his hands" i said

"Hey!. Im clean!" Rian said in defense

"Mhm" i said eating my ice cream

"Do you think she can have some ice cream yet?" he asked

"I dont know, maybe. See if she likes it" i said and took my spoon and scooped a little for Caitlyn, she put it in her mouth and made a weird face and let it drip out of her mouth and she cried

"Good going" Zack said

"Aww its okay baby. I know uncle Rian is so mean for putting that nasty in your mouth" i said cuddling her and cleaned her mouth with my shirt

"I feel bad!. Ive never made her cry before" Rian said and i laughed

After ice cream Rian left with us to go to target, i had to go shopping for Caitlyn. When we walked into target she got excited seeing all the commotion. We walked over to the baby isle where the keep the play mats and toy.

"Okay so my mom said to get one of those play mats that have the dangling toys. Problem is theres so many!" i said, there was like 6 different ones

"Well. The purple one is kinda girly" Rian said holding Caitlyn while letting her chew his shirt

"Mhmm. But i dont know, it has rubber toys and if one falls off and hits her I'm gonna freak" i said

"Dude you cant hide her from rubber toys all her life!" he said

"Whatever, what about the yellow?. Its got a mirror. Ive heard babies love their reflection" i said

"Sure" he said and i put it in our cart

"Alright. Now-...Rian, why does it look like your breast feeding my daughter?" i asked

"Shes chewing on my pocket!" he said

"Weird. Come on i need to get one of those plastic baths" i said

"Whats wrong with the sink?" he asked

"My mom decided to give me a heart attack the other day while i was on the phone with her while bathing Caitlyn. She said i once almost like threw myself out of the sink when i was little, she said she never trusted a sink again" i said

"Dude. Were you just like a crawling hazard as a baby?" he asked

"Shut up" i said and he laughed

We went over to the other isle and grabbed a bath before heading to the reading section. My mom told me books further her development, i had my doubts but since she raised me i had a feeling she was right. When we were looking at books two girls our age came over.

"Oh wow, your baby is so cute" one girl said

"Thank you. But shes not mine, shes his" Rian said pointing to me

"Shes adorable" the girl said to me and i looked over and the girl was very pretty. She had reddish brown hair and really green eyes

"Thank you" i said

"Whats her name?" she asked

"Caitlyn" i said

"Nice. Well im Penelope and thats Kristi" she said motioning to her friend who waved

"Hey. Im Alex, thats Rian" i said

"Nice to meet you two. So are you guys single?" Penelope asked and Kristi hit her arm

"Are you stupid?!, he has a baby. Hes probably not" Kristi said

"Oh no im very single" i said

"Great. What about you?, are you single?" Penelope asked Rian

"Sorry nope" Rian said

"To bad. Got any single friends?, maybe we can all meet up for drinks or something" she asked

"I do" i said

"Awesome!, what do you say. Wanna meet up?" she asked

"I dont know. Im not really focusing on dating" i said

"To bad. I guess we'll see you around" she said and they started to walk away

"Alex!. Your so into her, i can tell. Why turn her down?!" Rian asked

"Because i dont feel like dating" i said

"Come on you cant be lonely and single forever!. Its just drinks, what harm could it do?" he said and i thought about it and nodded

"Alright" i said

"Good boy" Rian said

"Hey Penelope!" i said going after her

"Yeah?" she asked turning around

"I changed my mind, i'd love to meet up" i said

"Great. Tomorrow at 5 at vines sound good?" she asked

"Perfect" i said, tomorrow was friday which meant Caitlyn would be with Brook

"Cool. See you then" she said

"Bye" i said and she walked away and i went back to Rian

"Good going man!" Rian said high fiving me

We finished up at target and headed home, i was pretty excited to tell Jack about our date. We got home and Jack was washing his car. Rian took Caitlyn inside and i went over to him.

"Jack!" i said

"Hey" he said

"We have dates tomorrow" i said

"Seriously?" he asked

"Yes. You in?" i asked

"Pfft. Of course!, when have you ever known me to turn down women?" he said
