Well, Who's to Say You'll Have to Do it Alone?

The next morning i was laying on my back on my bed playing with Caitlyn. She was very happy today, which made me feel less nervous like i always am. I was talking to her when Jack yelled for me.

"Alex come here!" Jack yelled

"Come on baby girl lets see what uncle Jack needs" i said and got up and went to the livingroom to see him and my mom, my smiled faded

"Hello Alex" she said, she was not happy about Caitlyn the other day. Doesnt seem like anything changed

"Hi" i said

"Jack can you take the baby, i need to speak to my son alone" my mom said

"Yeah" he said taking Caitlyn and leaving the room

"So thats my granddaughter?" she asked

"Yep" i said and she had a mixed look on her face

"How could you do this Alexander, your not ready to be a father!" she said

"Well mom i didnt know about her up until a few days ago" i said

"You cant raise a baby Alex, this is insane!" she said

"Mom i know, i know i made a mistake but shes my daughter and i love her and thats not gonna change" i said

"You see her as a mistake?" she asked

"No! of course not!. I meant forgetting a condom was the mistake" i said

"Well Alex i really think you need to think hard about this, this will mess everything up" she said

"Mom please!, i dont need this!. Im having a bad enough week as it is!. Im not arguing with you!" i said angry

"Well you need to look at all your options" she said

"Mom im keeping her" i said

"Alex-" she started but i cut her off

"Mom if you dont wanna be involed in her life its fine!, please go. Im not in a good mood" i said getting upset

"Fine Alex, but think about it. Adoption-" she started and i cut her off

"Its out of the question, goodbye!" i said and held the door open for her and she left and i slammed it shut and i slid down the wall

"Alex?" Jack said coming in the room

"Hmm?" i said

"You alright?" he asked

"Yeah. Just stressed beyond belief. My mom wants me to consider adoption for Caitlyn" i said and he frowned

"Its not happening right?" he asked

"Of course not" i said getting up

"Good, looks like you could use some baby loving" he said and passed me Caitlyn

"Yeah. I love you baby girl, your my world" i said kissing her and she giggled and pulled on the string of my hoodie and i laughed

"Daddys girl" Jack said and i nodded and swayed with her and walked away

The rest of the day was pretty calm, no drama at all. My cousin called about hearing i had a daughter and said she was coming over tonight to meet her. Later that night while i was cleaning the kitchen i heard Caitlyn cry, she was getting sick of her highchair. I laughed and picked her up attaching her to my hip, multitasking was my specialty at this point. She was getting really fussy though and would tug on my hoodie.

"Whats wrong?, you cant be hungry i just fed you. And your not wet because i changed you. Are you just angry?" i said and i bounced her on my hip and she calmed down a bit

"Da" she said saddness still in her voice

"Poor baby, how about this?" i said and hit play on my mac and dont panic played. She loved music especially All Time Low, he loves her daddys voice. She seemed to get happier so i continued to clean and bounce her. Then the door opened.

"Alex?" i heard my cousin Eliza say

"In the kitchen" i said

"Aww so cute!" she said

"Yeah" i said

"Shes adorable, deffinetly a Gaskarth. Shes like your mini double!" she said

"Yeah shes cute" i said smiling down at Caitlyn

"Well anyways i got a gift for you. Two actually" she said

"Really?" i said

"Yep" she said and pulled out a baby carrier and a stuffed cat

"Those things are so manly" i said sarcastic

"Hey you'll need it" she said

"True, thanks. And thanks for the kitty" i said and she handed the cat to Caitlyn and her eyes lit up

"So wheres mommy Jack?" she asked

"I dont no, Rians or Zacks or a bar or walgreens, mall. No freaking clue" i said

"Well his cars here" she said

"Really?, hmmm...Jack!" i said and yelled his name

"What?!" he yelled back

"What the hell get out here and help with the baby, this whole time i thought you left!" i yelled and me and Eliza laughed and Jack walked in looking like he just woke up

"I was napping" he said

"Well since you got to nap i get off baby duty tonight" i said and he nodded

The night was pretty fun, Caitlyn loved Eliza. Jack was so quiet it freaked me out. Then again he was woken from his nap, hes like a child when hes woken he gets grumpy. Later after Eliza left i was going to put Caitlyn to bed when i noticed Jack out cold in a chair. I laughe and pushed his leg, he whinned and grabbed his blanket closer.

"Night night time Jacky" i said

"Leave me here i'll sleep here" he said

"Whats with you tonight?" i said

"What?" he said

"Your acting weird" i said

"Tired, head and ear hurts. I dont no...sleepy" he mumbled before starting to drift off

"You better not be sick!, and you better not be contagous!" i said holding Caitlyn away from him

"Im not...maybe i smacked my head into a doorframe or wall..i dont no" he said and i felt his forehead

"Your kinda warm" i said

"Thats because im sweating because i have like two layers on and a giant blanket. And its june. Im fine dude leave it alone" he said getting up and taking off his hoodie and he walked away to his room

"Uncle Jackys not happy huh?. I dont no why everyones pmsing today" i said and she glared at me and i laughed and carried her to bed
