Shaken and Stirred

Keep Living

The mood of the room was not somber, but it was not excited at the same time. The five boys, strong, protective, caring, stood around the bed of the woman. She looked at them, her arms crossed and her lips pursed. Clearly the woman was angry, but clearly the men weren’t budging. She sighed and put her jade eyes to the ceiling, biting her lip.

“Stop that!” Gerard said. She looked at him and glared,

“Me stop! We can’t stop! So what that I’m pregnant. So what that Pete isn’t still caught yet, we can’t stop yet. We can’t!”

“We can’t risk you getting hurt, for the baby’s sake, Ras.” Mikey said, looking down. Raven saw that they all wanted to go on, and go play but they were putting that aside for what was most important. Her. Raven sighed and closed her eyes,

“We will go on a one year hiatus, then we will go back on do you hear me?” The men in the room groaned but knew that that was all that they were going to get out of her.

“Stubborn.” Frank said, walking over to her side. He poked her nose and she just looked at him,

“I am not stubborn, just driven.” Raven answered, huffing a bit.

“We just don’t want you to drive to kill yourself.” Ray said, scratching his massive amount of hair. Raven gave a soft smile and nodded,

“You are right, I guess.” She smiled at them all and pouted, “I want some jello!” They all smiled back and everything seemed to be calm for a while. The nurse came in, holding a folder.

“Ms. Wellington, these are you ultrasounds. You will have a baby girl.” Raven’s green eyes filled with tears as she opened the folder gently. She pointed at some part of the picture,

“Is…is that her feet?” Raven gasped. The nurse nodded and smiled, walking out of the room, “Look at her, guys. She’s beautiful.” Raven handed Gerard the ultrasounds. Frank jumped up, trying to look over Gerard’s shoulder. Gerard sighed and shoved Frank the ultrasounds, and walked over to Raven. Frank looked at them, turned them and blinked,

“It looks like a bunch of mush to me!” Frank said. Raven glared and picked up glass of water chucking it at him.

“You look like a bunch of mush to me!” Raven yelled at the wet Frank. He blinked at her, his mascara dripping down his face.

“Jeeze, I knew pregnant women where—” Franks started, then decided to shut his mouth, as the people around him glared. Raven picked up her slender arm and pointed at out the door.

“Get out.” She seethed. Frank nodded and tried to smile, but bolted out of there.

“Sorry about him. I told you we should have sent him to charm school.” Bob say, following out of the door. Raven and Gerard just looked at Ray and he nodded, muttering,

“Alright, Alight. I get the hint.” And left swiftly. Gerard smirked and closed the door, turning around looking at her. She sighed and looked at him,

“I’m going to have the baby in six months, did you know that?” Raven asked. Gerard walked over, sitting next to her on the bed. He crossed his arms and shook his head, making his beautiful black hair fall into his eyes,

“No,” Gerard started, “I didn’t, but did you know that I love you?” Gerard said kissing her cheek. She looked at him and blushed shaking her head,

“Thank you…for saving me countless times and I didn’t even have to ask for your help. You just did. You stopped me from cutting. You stopped me from being alone. You stopped me from being with a psycho man, and what have I stopped you from doing?”

“You stopped me from dying alone that is if you will be my wife.” Gerard said, not looking at Raven. She sat there, pale, pregnant, and in a hospital gown. How he thought that she looked good enough to marry was beyond her. She looked at him and kissed his cheek,

“There is no way in Hell…” Raven started, Gerard looked at her frightened. Her green eyes softened and closed with a big smile on her face, “That I wouldn’t say yes. I think it will be really cool to be Raven Angela Sophia Way.” Gerard grinned insanely and kissed her pink lips, latching on to her. The kiss was deepened as Gerard climbed onto the bed with her. They looked at each other with love and lust and happiness that they have never felt.

“When I saw you leave,” Gerard started. Raven put her finger on his lips, shaking her head,

“The past is in the past now. Let it go. Its okay, Ardy. We have the future to look forward too.” She said, closing her eyes. Gerard smiled and hugged her closely; letting her get her much needed sleep.

Months past, five to be exact. Raven looked like a balloon, and was not aloud to do anything, but get up and use the bathroom. At the moment, she laid on the bed, admiring her engagement ring, the one that came from the man she truly loved. She smiled and heard a soft knock at the door.

“Come in!” She beamed, sitting up in her bed. Frank and Mikey came in, bearing food and drink. She blinked at them and laughed even harder, “What do you two want?”

“So…how are you and the baby? What will be her name? Can we be the Godparents?” Frank asked, but it sounded a lot faster and a lot more jumbled up in her ears. She blinked at them

“Fine, Grace, and no.” Raven answered, swinging her feet over the bed.

“What are you doing?” Mikey exclaimed, and rushed over to help her. Raven sighed hard and looked at him with annoyed eyes,

“Trying to go to the bathroom,” She answered.

“We’ll help you there.” Frank said, going to the other side of her.

“Why thank you! But I’m a big girl; let me get there on my own. Thank you.” She said. The two boys ignored the statement and led her to the bathroom, closing the door once she made it in. She turned on the bath water and took off her clothes gently. Once the water was at a decent level, she sat in it, letting the warm water caresses over her body. She touched her belly smiling softly, “Grace,” She muttered, “Beautiful Grace with hopefully have her mother’s qualities.”

“Hopefully.” Gerard muttered, walking into the bathroom. She blinked at him and blushed, smiling wide. Even though he had seen her naked, before, it still was different each time. And each time was beautiful.

“Hey, dove.” She muttered, smiling wide. Her face grew wide as she touched her stomach grinning widely, “Grace kicked me. She must be excited that her father is here.”

“Do you think she knows already?” He asked, walking over to her slowly. He put a soft hand on her stomach, feeling the movement of the living being in her belly. Another kick, they two lovers giggled childishly.

“Do you think we are ready to have children, Gerard?” Raven asked. Gerard sat down and looked at the ceiling of the bathroom,

“It doesn’t matter if we are ready or not,” Gerard started, “We are having Grace and she is going to be the best at what ever she chooses to do.” Raven smiled and kissed his forehead, but her face turned painful, “Raven…what’s the matter?” She smiled at him again,

“The baby is coming.”
