Through Thick and Thin

“Your up early.”

I said to Brian as I got into the kitchen having just woken up, he was already sat there with a cup of coffee and a slice of toast,

“Couldn’t sleep.”

I walked over to him,

“Everything ok?”

I furrowed my eyebrows when looking at him, he smiled slightly,

“Just thinking about something, I’ll talk to you later, I gotta go see your bro. I’ll be back in about an hour. Love you.”

I received a small kiss before he slipped on his jacket and walked out the door, I felt a little odd and thought about panicking, does he want to break up with me or something? Have I done something wrong? I sat myself down with my glass of juice thinking.

I must have just been sat there for an hour because I heard the sound of the door opening and closing, the phone began to ring as I heard footsteps coming towards the dining room and then Bri’s voice as he picked it up,

“Hello. Yeah she’s here. Oh my god. I’ll tell her and we’ll be down as soon as possible Mrs Baker.”
