Another Night Without A Ghost In The Walls

Today is the day that I have dreaded for a while…

Today is Ronnie’s court date.

I can’t face him. I don’t want to face him.

I’m afraid to face him…

I nervously chewed on my bottom lip as we continued to walk down the main hall.
Vic must have noticed, since he grabbed my hand and held it in his.

I sighed and shook my head.

“Vic…I don’t think I can do this again…”

He placed a hand on my cheek and rubbed it gently with his thumb.

“Kellin…look at me.”

I hesitated at first, but eventually did so.

“Listen. I know we’ve been through Hell and more this year, but we made it back. After today, he’ll be locked away for a long time. He won’t be able to hurt you ever again. I’ll make sure of that. Everything will be the way it’s supposed to be. Everything will be okay.”

“Really…?”

His pressed his lips against mine for a soft, passionate kiss.

“Of course.”

He looked at the clock that was placed above the entrance.

“You should go inside. The trial is about to start.”

My eyes widened with fear and I shook my head quickly.

“No…! Please! Don’t let me go in there alone!”

“Shh…calm down Kellin…It’s restricted. I’m not allowed to go in there.”

Tears started to well up in my eyes. I don’t want to do this by myself.

“It’ll be okay. I’ll be out here waiting for you when the trial is over, but right now, you have to be strong, Kellin. You’ll have to be strong for the both of us, okay?”

I bit down on my lip again and nodded.

He wiped my tears away and fixed my tie before he kissed me again.

“Now go. It’s about to start. I love you, Kellin.”

“I love you too, Vic.”

I took a second to pull myself together before I walked into the courtroom, taking my place in the front.

My blood ran cold as I saw Ronnie being escorted to a seat on the other side of the room.

He looked over and stared straight at me.

His eyes looked dead and cold, as if he was trying to rip my soul in half.

I shivered and closed my eyes.

I have to be strong. I have to be strong. I have to be strong…

“All rise for the honorable Judge Taylor.”

Everyone stood as the judge took his place on the stand.

“So Mr. Radke, you’re back here again. Do I even have to ask why?”

No response.

“I’ll just list the charges against you. Two charges of Battery, two charges of Assault, two charges of attempted murder, and one charge of Rape.”

I took a couple of deep breaths to keep myself calm.

“May Kellin Quinn come to the stand?”

I stood up from my seat and walked towards the stand.

“Raise your right hand.” I did so.

“Kellin Quinn, do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?”

I nodded.

“You may be seated.”

I sat on the bench that was behind the stand.

“Explain the events that occurred on April 24, 2011 to your best ability.”

I glanced toward Ronnie, who was still staring me down with those cold eyes.

I can’t do this…I’m too afraid…!

I continued to look around the room nervously until I saw a familiar figure standing in the back of the room.

It was Oliver.

I almost forgot that Ronnie got to him too.

He looked at me and gave me a reassuring smile, urging me to start.

I took one more deep breath and nodded.

“It was around 11:30 in the morning…”

-------

We waited at least thirty minutes for the jury to make their decision after Oliver finished pleading his case.

The jury finally came out and sat back in their seats, one of them holding the final document in his hand.

“Has the jury made a decision?” The judge spoke up.
The man with document nodded and stood up.

“We, the jury, find Ronald Joseph Radke guilty of all charges.”

My heart wanted to leap out at the sound of those words.

“Alright, this is your second offense, Mr. Radke. I sentence you to fifteen years in prison. No bail.”

He slammed the gavel on the board and it was official.

Ronnie was escorted out of the room when the judge dismissed everyone.

He looked back at me and gave me one more soul-piercing glare before he was out of sight.

“Are you okay, Kellin?”

Oliver placed a hand on my shoulder as we walked out of the room.

I kept my gaze on the ground and nodded.

“Yeah, I’m fine.”

“Kellin…?”

I looked up to see Vic standing with Tony, Jaime, Mike and Andy, a bouquet of roses in his hands.

I ran up to him and hugged him tightly, pressing my lips against his.

“I’m not afraid anymore. He can’t hurt us anymore.”

He nuzzled my cheek, causing me to grin.
We pulled away after hearing the flash of a camera.

“You guys are just too adorable~!”

Vic flipped Tony off and kissed me again.

“Be nice, Fuentes, or I won’t let you swim in the pool!”
“You’re the one who volunteered to celebrate at your house.”
“Touché.”

--------

“Swimming in the moonlight. Pretty romantic, isn’t it?”

We were both in the water, Vic’s arms around me as he lent against the wall of the pool.

I hummed in agreement.

I turned around to face him. He seemed to be deep in thought, a huge smile on his face.

“What are you thinking about?”

“Hm? Nothing.”

I gave him a questioning look.

He kissed me deeply and gently rubbed my sides. I entangled my hands into his hair and moaned into the kiss.

“CANNONBALL~!!!”

Seconds later, we were drenched in water as Andy’s laughing figure came to the surface.

Vic growled and tried to splash Andy.

“You freaking, cock-blocking, jackass!!!”

I could only laugh as Vic tried to chase him in the water.

Everything’s going to be okay…

Everything will be okay. ♥

My other computer died. So all I have left is my school pc (which I'm blocked from a whole bunch of stuff) and my phone. So I'm still able to upload stuff, but I pretty much lost my music, videos, stories and pictures over the years...this sucks balls.
Anyway, here's an update, lovelies. I'm gonna go mope in a corner.
