Long Live Us

The whole dinner was just awkward, i dont know what my mom was thinking inviting them over. Their nice and everything but its just to weird. After dinner i showed Elyse around, she was easy to get along with so atleast that wasnt awkward. We sat in my room and just talked for a while, she was really funny. While she was in my bathroom attached to my room there was a knock and Jack barged in.

"Alex!" he said

"Hey!" i said

"Ready to build a snowman?" he asked

"Yeah. Arnt we to old to do that?" i said

"No!, lets go!" he said

"Hang on we gotta wait for someone" i said

"Who?" he asked and Elyse walked out of the bathroom

"Her" i said

"Hello, im Jack. You must be Alexs new girlfriend, way to let your best friend know by the way" Jack said

"Hi im Elyse, im not Alexs girlfriend. New neighbor actually" she said

"Oh" he said

"Way to just assume, ignore him hes ridiculous" i said and she nodded

"What?!, you never let anyone use your bathroom. Ive only seen you let like past girlfriends use it. Of course im gonna assume" he said

"True, i dont no why i never let anyone use it. I just like having it clean, and we know your like a slob" i said

"Untrue but whatever you say. Lets go!" he said and we left my room

We got are Jackets on and went outside, it was freezing cold. I dont know how Jack talked me into this. We started building the snowman and everything was fine, until Jack tackled me into the snow.

"Jack!" i gasped i fell face first and got snow in my shirt and in the back of my hood. I have no clue how that happened. I was freezing

"Sorry!, i expected you to be able to handle my weight!" he laughed

"Well i cant" i said

"Atleast he didnt sit on you and shove your face into the snow" Elyse said shrugging

"So true!" Jack said getting up and pulling me up

"Alright time to put this on top, help me lift it" i said to Jack

"Fine" he said and we picked up the ball of snow and put it on top of the bottom one

"What are we gonna use to decorate it?" Elyse asked me

"Uhmmm i dont no, rocks and carrots?" i said looking over to Jack

"I got somthing better" Jack said running to his car and then he came back with a snowman shaped container

"What the hell is that?" i asked

"Its a snowman making kit" he said

"They make that?" i asked

"Mhm" he said and i rolled my eyes at him and laughed

"Weird" i said

We finished making the snowman and then we went inside, the wind was starting to pick up. I made us all hot chocolate and we sat on the floor of my room. We just talked trying to get to know eachother.

"So Elyse, when is your birthday?" Jack asked her

"August 10th" she said

"Lucky i wish my birthday was in the summer" i said

"Jelous?" Jack asked

"Very" i said

"Hah!, so Elyse do you like music?" Jack asked her

"Yep" she said

"Would you like to come hear our band?" he asked her

"Band?, i didnt know you had a band Alex" she said

"Yep, im the singer and guitarist, Jack is the guitarist. You'll meet the other two on monday" i said

"Awesome!, id love to hear you guys sometime" she said

"Really?!" Jack said

"Yes" she said

Later that night after Elyse left and my parents were in bed me and Jack went downstairs. We decided to sleep on the livingroom floor, its a sleepover tradition at his house and we decided to start it here as well. While we were watching ghostbusters Jack decided to speak up.

"Elyse it awesome" he said

"Mhmm" i said

"I get this vibe that you love her" he said

"Jack" i whinned

"So you do?" he asked

"A little, but we just met. I dont think this will be more then a friendship" i said lying on my stomach facing the tv

"It might!" he said joining me

"Shut up" i said smacking him with a pillow

"Dick" he said and i shrugged and we laughed
