Every Time I Look

Dinner time. His mom cooked some chicken thing and pasta.
The questions rolled in but I stayed calm and polite
. Craig was getting nervous.
" What do you do for living?" She asked.
"I'm studying photography and business." I answered.
She stopped eating ,looked at Craig then me.
"Still in college?"
"Yeah,last year." I replied with a glanced at Craig.
His mother seemed upset . She sighed and disappeared into the kitchen.
"I'm sorry ,Craig." I breathed.

His father replied with,
"Kids,she wants more grandchildren. Since Ryan had three kids by the time he was thirty,she expects Craig to do the same." I sighed. Only seven months. He hasn't even said I love you to me. Now, we have to have children.
" Dad,I haven't even thought of kids and Tea is just starting out .We just can't worry about this now." Craig explained .
" Kids scare me. "I admitted. His dad laughed.

I continued to eat while Craig and his father talked.
When his mom enters with cherry pie.
"How did you two meet?" She asked calmly.

Now,that was a question I had no problems answering.
