We were on a deserted part of the beach, with the boys. I hugged Dwayne.
"I can't believe I'm losing my best buddy! Come back and see me, yeah?" he said, his voice wavering. I nodded, smiling.
I turned to Paul.
"Don't do this, Scarlett. Please." I sighed.
"It's where I belong."
He sighed and hugged me tightly.
I turned to find Star. We hugged, but she didn't let go. Instead she whispered to me.
"Scarlett, I'll come to see you sometime."
I nodded. She let go of me.
I walked up to Marko.
"Scarlett, please don't-" I hushed him.
"I don't want to cause you pain, Marko. Or Paul."
A single tear drop trailed down his cheek. I wiped it away.
"I'm not worth your tears." I said. I stepped away from him. Suddenly, David nearly smothered me by pulling me into a bear hug. He chuckled sadly and let go.
"Just remember, The Lost Boys will always be here to welcome you home."
I smiled and fled into the darkness. Back to Pheonix.
