Is Anything Meant to Be?

Lexi was waking up a bit and sees Jacob standing there, Lexi:” Hmm, Jake?” Jacob spun around and looked at her, Jake:” Yes Lexi? I just brought you home. I’ll go and lock the door back up and come back.” She nodded and he went to lock the door, he came back up closing the door behind him. He looked at her with a smirk, Lexi looked around her room and back at Jacob with a small smirk. Lexi:” Surprise, I’m still not done with it. I still need actual pictures though.” Jacob went over to her and smiled, Jake:” How about now?” Lexi looked at him and asked if he was serious, he looked at her leaning closer and whispered that he’s really serious. She had a big smile on her face, she grabbed the camera while Jake pulled her closer to him. He had her head on his shoulder and she took the picture, he moved her onto his lap wrapping his arms around her, she brought her left hand up to one of his and held his hand. Jake was looking at her and at the last minute she looked at him when the camera went off. Lexi turned, dropped the camera and sat there looking at him. She finally leaned in and gently brushed her lips against his, Jake’s heartbeat picked up as did her own. Lexi finally kissed him and when they pulled apart looking at each other, they both yearned for more. Jake:” Um so, have you decided on what to ask your mom when you talk to her?” Lexi looked away biting her lip, Jake turned her head back to him where she looked up at him. Jake:” Lexi, everything ok?” Lexi:” I just don’t know how to ask or even go about asking something like this to her.” Jake held her and chuckled, Lexi:” Gee, glad I amuse you.”
Lexi Confronts her MOM:
They next morning both when Lexi woke up, she felt as well as heard another heartbeat in the room, she rolled over in her bed and was face to face with Jake. She was all smiles, she leaned over and kissed him. Then she laid there biting her lip watching him sleep. Lexi and Jake got up got dressed (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=60636211) and ready, Jake putting their bags together in the car. Alice wanted to drive them to the airport so she did, when it was time to board the plane Lexi gave Alice a hug. Alice(whispered):” Please be careful Lexi.” “Alice, are you forgetting I’m a wolf too?” Lexi “Yes, sometimes I do. I trust him but I want you both to be careful, ok?,” Alice. “I know Alice, and with Jake, he’ll make sure nothing happens to me at all” Lexi. She let it “slip” that her and Jake finally kissed, Alice looked at her surprised and went to say something but Lexi walked away with Jake and a smile across her face. The plane ride “home” Lexi held Jake’s hand the whole time. They got a car, and Lexi drove home, Jake keeping an eye on her. Magdelina:” Oh my beautiful Lexi has come home!” She pulled Lexi into a hug, Lexi awkwardly hugged her back. Lexi:” Mom, hi nice to see you again. Ah this is my um, friend Jake, Jake this is my mom Magdelina.” Jake was about to shake her hand when she pulled him into a hug which surprised him. Magdelina:” So Lexi, how long are you here for?” Lexi:” We’re here for a week.” Magdelina:” You know where your room is, your ‘friend’ here can have the spare room next to yours.” Lexi nodded grabbing their luggage and bringing it up stairs to the rooms. She brought her bag up to her room first, then went to the room next to hers where Jake would be staying, and putting his luggage in there. Jake came up and saw here room, he couldn’t help but smile since all he saw were drawings of him in his wolf form, and a few of Embry as well. He walked over to the wall that had the drawings of Jeremy and turned to look at Lexi, Jake:” This is the leech who bit you?” She looked at the picture and looked away nodding, Jake studied the picture just to know what he looks like. Jake smiled, pulled her over and the both of them began dancing. Her mom knocked on the door, Magdelina:” Are you two hungry?” Both:” Starving!” “Thanks for coming Jake!” Lexi. He pulled her over to him again only this time he hugged her. “No problem Lex, I’m always eager to hang out with you away from the rest of the pack and the Cullens!” Jake. She looked up at him smirking, “Awe is that a smirk and blushing I see?” Lexi. “Just a smile that’s all,” Jake. She nodded and they both went downstairs, they ate everything and more. She thought her mom would be surprised but she was to find that her mother wasn’t.
About half way through the week she grabbed Jake and held his hand. Lexi:” Ah mom, can we talk?” Magdelina:” Ok, what about.” Lexi looked down taking a few breaths while Jake gave her hand a little squeeze. Lexi:” I want to know who carries the werewolf gene, you…dad or both?” Magdelina:” Oh man, I knew this day would come. I’m surprised it wasn’t sooner with the vampires that lived around us when you were bit.” Lexi:” Wait, you knew I was bit by a vampire after I tried telling you when I got out of the hospital?” Jake felt her hand tremble in his, so he leaned over and whispered” Calm Down,” in her ear. Magdelina:” I didn’t know what to do or what to say. I was trying to figure out why you hadn’t shifted into your wolf form, with all the vampires that were around. Both your father and I did when vampires were around and when you didn’t it scared me. I thought you hadn’t gotten the gene or that it was within you but wouldn’t happen or do anything. That doctor that found you, and checked up on you, I tried talking to him but just couldn’t. I assumed that you’d end up turning into a vampire instead, that the venom would just take a hold faster. Please tell me, are you?” Lexi:” So I have the gene from the both of you?” Her mother nodded, Lexi:” Mom, I’m a hybrid. The gene is still in me but it’s coexisting with the venom that did attach to me and stay inside me. I haven’t turned into my wolf form yet, and I have some abilities as well due to the vampire venom. Basically in human form I look and act a lot like a vampire, but then I shift into a wolf. I know what I’ll look like as a wolf though, would you like to see?” Her mother nodded, she put her hands on the table and gave them to Lexi when she asked for them. Then she saw Lexi as a wolf with the symbol on her back. Magdelina:” Oh my, a white wolf. Your father would be so proud Lexi!” Lexi:” Why’s that, he was barely around?” Magdelina:” Because the only other white wolf was his great grandfather, who was also the Alpha wolf.” Lexi smiled, she got up and walked around to the other side of the table to give her mom a hug. Magdelina:” So tell me, did you two imprint yet or no?” Jake smirked at her then looked at Lexi, Jake:” No not yet, but we all know it’s coming and that it’s close. We can’t stand being apart from each other for long, so ya it’s close.” Lexi:” Those nightmares I had where the wolf saves me, the wolf I saw was Jake. Then when it became two wolves, it was Jake and his friend Embry.” Magdelina:” And because Embry showed up saving you, you think there might be something there. Lex trust me, the way you are with Jake, it’s only a matter of time before you give in as does he.” Lexi looked at Jake and blushed. Lexi:” It’s not as easy as that, mom.” Magdelina:” Really, why’s that?” Lexi looked at Jake, “It’s your call if you want to let her know about the Cullens babe,” Jake. Magdelina:” What’s with that marking on your back, when you will be in wolf form?” Lexi sat back down looking at her mom, Lexi:” Well there from two tattoos I will be getting. One is the symbol of the back I now belong to and the other is….this vampire coven that treats me like family as well. One of the vampires I have a special connection with since I’m his BLOOD SINGER and the father figure of the coven is that same doctor who saved me, twice.” She knew the minute she said that her mom would want to know, so she explained it. She gave her mom a hug when it was time to leave and headed back to the airport with Jake by her side
