To my King...you have never fought for me. You have abandoned me and abandoned us. I cannot imagine a time when we might come back from that. No words, and I am not sure even actions, can repair the damage you have done to us. We once promised from this realm to the next....but that can never be if you have left me behind. How could I ever follow you when you have forsaken me in a dark fog of despair. So despite the silence, despite the damage, and despite how you have torn me down, I will rise again. I will be stronger this time because I have to be. There is no one else taking care of me anymore...and no one ever will. So I will rebuilt me, and regrow the parts that you have corrupted and hopefully be as strong and as beautiful as the skyscrapers that adorn my city.
