Best Places to Be a Mom

Alexs POV:
I woke up to the bright light shinning in the hallway, i rolled over and realized Melody was gone. I sat up and and made my way into the hall and could hear her puking in the bathroom. I walked in the room and she was sitting on the floor with her knees pulled up to her chest.

"Hey" i said and she looked up

"Oh hey" she said quiet

"Did you get sick?" i asked

"Yup" she said

"Do you need anything?" i asked

"Uhmm...water?" she said sitting on her knees and i nodded and turned to fill a dixie cup with water and when i went to hand it to her she started puking again

"Poor baby" i said pushing all her hair back and rubbing her back

"Alex dont" she whinned

"What?" i asked

"Please. Dont fucking touch me" she said annoyed

"Im just trying to comfort you" i said

"Well i hate being touched when im sick!, quit it!" she said mad

"Fine" i sighed setting the cup and then i leaned against the counter and crossed my arms

"Just go back to bed if your just gonna stand there. Its making me anxious" she said picking up the cup

"Well your the one that doesnt want any fucking comforting, so what the hell do you expect!" i said annoyed

"Go back to bed Alex" she sighed and i left the room and went to bed

The next morning i woke up and was all alone. I got up and went into the kitchen to make coffee, i was pretty fucking tired for some odd reason. After i made coffee i went into the livingroom and saw Melody watching tv, i sat next to her.

"Hey babe, feeling any better?" i asked

"Nope" she said

"Really?" i asked

"Yes really. Your daughter has been kicking like crazy this morning so its just giving me horrible back pain and im still puking occasionally and it just sucks" she said

"Aww. Did you at least sleep okay?" i asked

"What do you think?" she asked pissed off

"Hey!, dont get mad at me just because i fucking care about you!" i said mad

"Well your getting on my nerves" she said

"By asking if you feel okay?" i asked

"Yes!" she said exasperated

"Well shit fine. I wont fucking care anymore" i said crossing my arms and rolling my eyes

"Its not that, i just-...ughh!. I just dont feel good Alex!. And i get irritated when im sick as do you" she said

"I do not!" i said

"Bullshit. You had food poisoning last year and wouldn't let anyone come even close to you let alone touch you!" she said

"Well could you blame me?!. I was puking for like two days and felt like someone was ripping my spine out. Plus i couldnt sleep and i was hot and dizzy" i said

"Either way, you get bitchy. So do i and so you should just know by now to keep away" she said

"Fuck, whatever" i said leaving the room

I took a real fast shower and then got dressed and left, i had no desire to be in my house this morning. I decided i was gonna go bother Rian since he is always a ball of sunshine in the morning. I got to Rians and knocked on the door, after a few minutes he answered in just a pair of shorts.

"Alex, what are you doing here so early?" he asked

"I came to visit my best friend!" i said

"Whats the real reason?" he asked

"I just needed to get out. Melodys being a crazy this morning" i said and he sighed

"Mkay. Come in" he said letting me in

"Your neighborhood is so silent" i said

"Well it is really early on a weekend" he said and i followed him into the kitchen

"Yeah well our neighborhood is fucking loud in the morning" i said

"Weird" he said making coffee

"Mhm" i said

"Rian who the hell-. Oh hey!" Breann said walking in with Rians t-shirt and some shorts on

"Hey!" i said

"Your here early" she said

"I know. Melody is super hormonal and she has morning sickness" i said

"Awww that sucks" she said going over to Rian who was making a pained face

"Yep. Your here really early as well" i said

"I slept over last night. Rian picked me up from my place" she said

"Oh. And telling by the fact that your in his shirt, im guessing you two had sex last night" i said and Rian made a face at me

"Way to be fucking weird Alex" Rian said

"Hey, were all adults here" i said as he poured a cup of coffee

"Yeah but thats gross dude. I dont discuss my sex life with people" he said

"So you did!. No shame in it Rian, everyone does it" i said

"Yeah babe. No shame. We had fun last night" Breann said patting Rians shoulder

"So i was right" i said and she laughed while nodding and making some coffee for herself

"Im gonna go shower" Rian said embarrassed and he left the room

"So whats going on with Melody?" Breann asked

"Shes got really bad morning sickness and is just really irritable whenever i talked to her or tried to comfort her" i said taking Rians cup of coffee and drinking it

"Well thats understandable. Shes pregnant, its not a comfortable experience. Give her a break Alex" she said

"I know!. I just cant handle her hormones" i said and she laughed

"Well good luck with that" she said

"Yep" i said

"You two should come over to my place tonight and hang out. Im throwing my goddaughter Leslie a birthday at like 2, shes turning three today" she said

"Totally, if Melodys not being a bitch" i said

"Alex" Breann said in a warning tone

Later on i got Melody to go with me to Breanns, she took a while to convince. We went to Breanns and walked in without knocking and there was tons of people. I saw Rian and we went right over to him.

"Mommy Rian!" i said and he laughed

"Hey. Glad you two showed up" he said

"Yep!" i said

"So wheres the birthday girl?" Melody asked

"Shes in the other room with Breann" he said and she went to find Breann

"So this is a very....interesting party" i said looking around. It was very pink and yo gabba gabba themed

"Well it is a three year olds party" he said

"Right" i said nodding

"So...she seems not moody at all" he said

"Well she was earlier and it was fucking ridiculous" i said

"Mhmmm...i see" he said and we went to the other room and saw Breann and Melody playing with Leslie

"Having fun babe?" i asked

"Yep" she said helping Leslie with her plastic tiara

"Down" Leslie said pulling on my pants and i kneeled down to her height

"Hey" i said and she put a tiara on my head

"Pretty princess!" she said happy and she giggled while clapping

"Well thank you!" i said

"Here" she said handing me a plastic pink wand that had a star at the end and ribbon hanging off it

"Perfect!. All princesses need wands" i said and she laughed at me and i stood back up

"That will be you two in a few years. Letting your daughter dress you like a princess" Rian said

"I know" i said
