Status: So yeah Isaac is a babe

From Wickenburg to Vegas

I didn’t know what to think when Isaac told me werewolves were real, and that he was one. He was something that up until that moment I always thought it was a myth. I wished I wasn't scared of him, but I was. I knew he wouldn’t hurt me, but there was a thought in the back of my mind, what if he snapped, or what if he got so mad he attacked me.

I went to my suitcase and grabbed my some clothes to change into something other than my pajamas. I glanced over at Isaac quickly to see that he was sitting on his. I couldn’t look over there for more than second. I felt like whatever type of friendship I had with Isaac had just been ruined by me finding out the truth. I really wish it hadn’t, but I couldn’t help it. It was almost like I was now scared of Isaac.

“We can head out whenever you want.” I heard him say from behind me.

“I’ll get changed and then we can head out,” I said pulling my clothes out of my duffle bag.

“Okay I’ll look up directions.”

I walked into the bathroom and sat my clothes down on the closes toilet seat. I stripped down to my bra and underwear, and just threw them down on the floor. I reached over and grabbed my jeans and shimmied into them. I pulled on my dark blue button up and buttoned it slowly. I took a moment to enjoy being alone before I had to go face Isaac and endure the awkward silence I had caused, by being nosy.

I took a deep breath before walking out the bathroom. I looked over towards Isaac’s bed to find him only in his boxers and in the middle of pulling on his grey jeans. I wanted to look away but I couldn't bring myself to look away. I really hoped that Isaac didn't hear me leave the bathroom. I continued to stare at him as he pulled his blue v-neck shirt on. I quickly turned around and went to the sink before Isaac could catch me staring.

“As soon as you finish brushing your teeth I’ll brush mine.” I heard him say behind me.

“Alright,” I said nervously as I started putting tooth paste on my pink tooth brush.

“I figured out we’re in Wickenburg and it’s about a four hour drive to Vegas,” I heard him say behind me. “I’ll put our bag in the car.”

I brushed my teeth as Isaac left the room. I was looking forward to sitting in a car for four in awkward silence with Isaac. I wanted to tell him I didn't see him any differently after he told about werewolves, but I couldn't bring myself to lie to him. As I finished brushing my teeth by rinsing the toothpaste out of my mouth I heard Isaac come back into the room.

I sat on the bed and put my black vans on. I looked over at Isaac to see him finishing up brushing his teeth. “Should I meet you by the car?” I asked as I stood up.

“You can take the keys and start the car up, I’m gonna go to the front office and quickly check out,” he said as he handed me the keys.

“Okay,” I said as I opened the door and head out into the hot dry air outside. It took me a moment to adjust to the drastic change from the cool air conditioned room to the hot air. I made my way quickly across the parking lot and hopped into the Derek’s SUV.

I must have been in the car for only five minutes when I saw Isaac coming towards the car. I wasn't sure I was ready for four hours of awkward silence between the two of us. I wondered if I should tell him how I felt.

“You ready?” Isaac asked crawling into the car.

I just nodded my head and looked out the window as we started driving. Isaac turning on the radio so classic rock played lightly in the background.

After driving for about an hour and half I let out a yawn, and rested my head against the window. “Can try to sleep if you want?” I heard Isaac say.

“No I don’t want to have a nightmare,” I said looking over at him.

“Lennon do you want to talk about the whole werewolf thing?” he asked as I looked over at him.

I didn’t know what I should say to him, I wasn’t sure if I should ask him more about it, but I wondered if knowing more would help me sleep at night. “Yes,” I said softly.

“What do you want to know?” he asked as he continued to look at the road.

“How do you become a werewolf?” I asked the first thing that came into my mind.

“You have to get bitten,” he said reaching over and turning off the radio.

“Did you choose to get bitten or did it happen by accident?” I knew it was probably a personal question, but I felt like had a right to ask him.

“It was my choice,” he said running his fingers through his curls. “I didn’t have a good home life, and one day I ran into Derek and he told me he could make it better,” he paused for a second almost as if he was reliving painful memories he didn’t want to face. “My dad use to beat me and lock me up when I did something wrong, and when I became werewolf it gave me the power for him to no longer pick on me,” he said looking over at me trying to judge my reaction.

I felt horrible that Isaac had to grow up with a father that beat him, “I’m sorry you had to deal with that,” I said trying to make him feel better.

“I’m okay now, and being a werewolf lets me know nobody can push me around.”

“Can control yourself when you change?” It was my way of asking him if he was going to hurt me without asking him if he would.

“Derek, Scott, and I have trained ourselves to control what happens when we change. I’ve also trained myself to change whenever I want to,” he gave me another quick glance. “So the answer to your question is, no I won’t hurt you.”

I wasn’t sure what to say for a moment. I felt bad that Isaac realized I was afraid of him. “I wasn’t worried about you hurting me,” I said lying to him.

“Yes you were, and don’t worry it didn’t hurt my feeling,” he said with a small laugh.

I felt like I had to defend myself and let him know why was nervous about him being a werewolf. “You have to understand why I was worried.”

“I understand completely.” I could tell by the tone of his voice that he really wasn’t offended. “You should try to sleep again, if you have another nightmare I’ll wake you up,” he said letting me know I would be safe.

“I’m scared to have another nightmare,” I said looked at him.

“You’ll be okay, and they’ll go away soon,” he gave me a reassuring smile letting me know it was going to be okay.

“Okay I’ll try to sleep,” I said resting my head against the cool window again.

I closed my eyes and listened to the sound of air conditioning running. I tried to think of happy thoughts. I kept thinking of the last summer I spent at a beach house with my mom and my step-dad. I thought about the whole trip for about five minutes before everything was black and quiet.

I woke up in my bed feeling completely confused on how I got there. I looked over to the spot next to me to find Isaac laying there shirtless. I couldn’t help but reach over and run my hands down his abs like I had wanted to do for the last two days. I let my fingers slide across his cool stomach enjoying the feeling. Just as my fingertips reached the edge of his boxers his eyes opened.

I stared into his eyes enjoying the moment. “Someone is handsy when they wake up,” he said with a smile.

“I can’t help it, I’ve wanted to do that,” I said giving him a smile.

“Come here,” he said pulling me over so I was straddling his hips.

He reached up pushing my oversized shirt up slowly so it revealed my hip bones. He looked into my green eyes before putting his hands on my hipbones, and with his right hand he slowly rubbing little circle on my hipbone. I couldn’t help but grind a softly into his pelvis, enjoying the feeling of his hands against my skin.

I couldn’t resist kissing him, so I bent down and pressed my lips to his. Our lips moved in sync and he moved his hands from my hips to the back of my neck. He used his hands to pull me closer to him.

I was caught a little off guard when he shift his weight managed to roll us over so he was on top of me. He had his hands on both sides of my head as he moved his lips from my lips down my jaw. I couldn’t help but moan as he started to suck on my neck.

He moved away from my neck and placed one kiss on my ear before speaking up, “it’s going to be so much better to kill you now.”

I felt my heart drop as I looked into his eyes and saw blood red one. I screamed as I managed to get him off of me as quickly as I possibly could.

“No you won’t,” I said crawling off the bed and shaking.

I looked at him to see that it was no longer Isaac, but now it was the blind man Deucalion sitting on my bed.

“You’re going to be an easy kill,” he said getting off the bed and grabbing his cane.

“Isaac,” I said screaming hoping the real him would show up.

“Lennon wake up,” I heard Isaac say as he shook me.

I looked up to see that he was no longer driving. I looked around in a panic to see where we were. “How long was I out?” I asked trying to calm down.

“For like two and half hours.” He said opening his door. “I was hungry so I thought we should stop and eat breakfast.”

“Oh okay,” I said getting out of the car quickly.

We started walking through the parking lot towards the pancake house not too far from Vegas. “You had another nightmare, did you?” he asked as he opened the door to restaurant.

“Yep,” I said simply.

We walked up to the young hostess who had a smile on her face. “Two please,” Isaac said as he held up two fingers.

“Right this way,” the hostess said overly cheery. We followed her through the crowded restaurant and she sat in a booth in the back in front of a window. I sat on one side and Isaac sat across from me. “Here are your menus, and your server is Mike and he’ll be with you shortly,” she said placing our menus in front of us.

We looked at our menus for a few minutes before Isaac spoke up, “so what was your nightmare about?”

“About Deucalion,” I said not telling the whole truth. I didn’t feel like I need to tell him about our heated make out session in my dream.

“What did he do?” I really wished he would quit asking about this nightmare of all of them.

“Well it was originally just me and you, and then you transformed into him,” I looked over at him to judge his reactions.

“You don’t have to worry I’m not going to change into Deucalion,” he said sitting down his menu.

“I know that,” I said sitting down my own menu. “Do you know what you’re getting I asked changing the subject.

“I think I’m just going to get the breakfast special, it seems to have a little bit of everything.” He looked over at me and gave me a smile. “What are you going to get?” he asked.

“I think I’m just going to get a Denver Omelet.”

“Do you have any idea where you want to stay when we get to Vegas?” Isaac asked me.

“I don’t care, anywhere is fine,” I said softly as the waiter came to our table.

“I think we can get an okay deal at New York New York,” he said giving me a smile. “Have you ever been to Vegas,” he asked.

“No I’ve actually only left California to go to Texas to see family. Have you ever been to Vegas,” I asked tilting me head to the side slightly.

He gave me a smile before saying, “Yeah once last year for a Cross Country tournament.”

“Oh that cool,” I said as our waiter came over to take our order.
