Do You Fear Me?

fifteen

I hated that feeling of sleeplessness I got when I was around Rosie.
Because even though she was out cold against my chest, I was still laying awake, watching her.
I didn’t really know what to do.
I really have two options.

a) Call Derek and tell him we have to take her back to the lair because she knows and knows we’re going to protect her.
Or
b) Call Stiles and get a bat to the head for taking his little sister’s virginity.

Though the first optioned seemed smarter, I would rather opt for the second one, because taking a bat to the head is a lot easier than protecting her from an alpha.
But I’d have to find sleep first. If I could.
“Stop staring at me.” I chuckled. Rosie was whiny when she woke up; it was no secret that she loved her sleep. “You’re distracting me.”
“You’re distracting me. I can never sleep when I’m near you. Or thinking about you.” I whisper to her, pushing her hair back from her ear.
She opened one eye to look at me, but closed it quickly. “Then think about something else. Like Derek or Boyd.”
“It’s hard when you’re laying on my chest.” I chuckled to her.
“Then-” I tightened my grip on her waist
“You’re not going anywhere.”
“Dominance is a good colour on you.” She lifted her head and placed her chin on my chest to look up at me. She was smiling sweetly.
“Well thank you.” I smirked back.
“Cockiness is not.” She laid her head back down, facing the wall this time. Her heartbeat quickened at a thought.
“What’re you thinking about?”
“You.” She whispered, tracing a pattern on the wall with her finger.
“Why is your heart racing, then?”
“Because you still scare me, Isaac.” Goosebumps trailed her arms, making her shiver. I pulled the duvet further over her, trying to delay them. “I’m still terrified you’re going to rip me limb from limb if I make you too mad.”
“I would never do that to you.”
“Nightmares are a funny thing, then…” Her eyes closed and she nuzzled her head against my chest. “They twist your mind into thinking that nothing will ever go right and that you will always lose…and then when you wake up…it’s gone. Like it would never happen in a million years. But Cinderella always said; ‘A dream is a wish your heart makes’; so I always told people because I didn’t want the wish to come true…”
“That’s a silly suspicion.” I cooed, pulling her closer to my face. I pulled the duvet up with her.
“I bet you’ll meet people with weirder ones.”
“Maybe if I ever leave Beacon Hills.” She glanced up at me.
“You’re the gravedigger’s son, aren’t you?”
“Yes.” She traced out letters on my arm. An R, I, and L. “What are you?”
“The stockbroker’s daughter…”
“Better off than me.” I whispered into her ear, nudging the side of her face softly.
“Quit that,” She giggled, pushing my face away. “What are you, a dog?”
Canis lupus.” I chuckled, moving back to nuzzle her face again. She giggled and shoved me away.
“Ah-woo.” She breathed. I reached up and kissed her.
“Why are you like this?” Rosie asked, pulling back from the kiss.
“Because sometimes you need an extra kick to stand up for yourself.”
“What happened to your father…?”
“He-…he was killed by the Kanima…”
“Why?” Rosie laid her head on my chest, right above my heart.
“We don’t know…yet.”
“Do you wanna know?”
“No.” Silence fell over us.
“Go to sleep.” Rosie whispered.
“I can’t. I can’t sleep around you.” I whispered back, just a little louder, teasing.
“Then I’ll sing you to sleep.” She teased back.
“Begin then, little canary.”
“Pick a song.” I chuckled.
“You’re supposed to pick the song.”
“Well you do it anyway.”
“Fine.” I thought for a moment. “Chasing Cars.”
“I love that song.” She mused.
We’ll do it all, everything, on our own;
We don’t need, anything, or anyone.
If I lay here, if I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world?
I don’t quite know, how to say, how I feel.
Those three words, are said too much, they're not enough.
If I lay here, if I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we’re told, before we get too old; show me a garden that’s bursting into life.
Let’s waste time, chasing cars, around our heads.
” Rosie gazed up at me, grinning. But before she could continue the song, we were both asleep.

I slipped into the jeans and buttoned them. Rosie was still dead sleep in my bed, but I’d woken up and it was tomorrow. I’d never actually cleared out my closet, so there were still clothes that I could wear. I just didn’t know what Rosie would wear, if she didn’t mind the walk of shame.
Shame…there was no shame.
“Rosie…wake up.” I shook her shoulder slightly, but she didn’t wake. I sighed. “Rosie, come on. We have to get you home.” She let out a groan and bat my hand away.
“Come on, little canary. Wake up, pretty.” Her eyes shot open and she moved back a considerable distance before letting out a breath.
“What was that about?”
“I-that’s what-that thing calls me.”
“Pretty?” She nodded. “I’m sorry, Rosie.” I reached for her hand. She was hesitant at first, but she took it and I helped her up.
“I guess I’ll have to wear what I had on yesterday.” She blushed, glancing at the floor.
“I don’t have shorts for you, but there’s probably a shirt in there that you could fit.” Rosie giggled.
“I can fit anything you own.”
“That’s true but I meant fit well.” I kissed her nose. “I’ll try and find one.” She nodded and went to get dressed. I turned my back and went to my dresser, searching for a shirt.
“Isaac?” I glanced back at her. “C-can I take a shower?”
“Sure.” I closed the dresser drawer and went over to her. “Here. For the time being.” I pulled my shirt over my head and she gigglingly got into it.
“You’re shirts are huge.”
“I’m taller than you.”
“Not a good enough excuse, Mr. Lahey.” She teased.
“Get going.” I swatted at her ass, but began guiding her to the bathroom. I first tested the sink. The water hadn’t been cut off yet.
“Here,” I reached into the shower and began to turn it on. After finding the right temperature, Rosie shed my shirt, holding it out to me.
“It was a good idea, but one of us was still bare.” She cooed, kissing me before slipping in the shower, out of my grasp.
“Tease.”
“I believe you’re the tease, Mr. Lahey.”
“Keep calling me that, see where that gets you.” I called over the shower. Rosie laughed. “I’ll be in my room.”
“I’ll be out soon.” Her voice fell, but I tried pushing it away to go find her something to wear.
In my room, I found an old scout shirt, probably not even mine, and figured it would fit Rosie. We’d have to see.
Isaac!” My head snapped up from the shirt and I ran into the bathroom. Rosie had her eyes covered, but not herself.
“Rosie, what’s wrong?”
“There was a spider…” I sighed out. “I’m sorry-I-I’m really scared of spiders.”
“It’s okay. Here.” I picked up the towel and handed it to her. Slowly, she uncovered her eyes, making sure to not look at the arachnid or me.
I couldn’t help but stare.
“Isaac.” She snapped in front of me. I shook my head and gave her a sheepish grin. “Pervert.”
“I’m sorry, you weren’t complaining before.” I pulled her against me, kissing her again. She’d thrown her hair into some kind of up do and I couldn’t help but slide my hands down her shoulders.
But then I heard a click of a door.
“Someone’s here.” Rosie’s eyes went wide and her hands balled into fists against my shirt. “Come on.” I led her, quietly, back into my room. “Get dressed. Quickly.”
The footsteps were growing closer and instead of letting Rosie finish getting dressed, I pushed her behind me.
“Isaac…” She whined, but in a low tone.
The door flew open and I let out a growl, but instead of an alpha, Stiles held a wooden bat over his head. Scott was standing behind him, trying to hide his laughter. I sighed and felt Rosie relax behind me.
“Jesus, Stiles.” She cursed.
“I-you didn’t come home.” He whined out, trying to explain himself.
“Maybe because I was with Isaac.”
“You-you’re not scared of him?”
“I can’t be not scared of a werewolf, Stiles.” I felt her hands on my shoulders. “But I kind of need to finish getting dressed.” Stiles’s gaze flicked to the ground, where it was obvious that his sister was nowhere close to being fully clothed.
“You little shit!” Stiles charged me and swung the bat. I ducked, yanking Rosie down with me. “You little fucking shit!”
“Stiles, stop!” Scott called from the hallway, still laughing.
“He-he did-my sister!”
“Stiles, I’m sixteen-”
“My little sister!” He yelped, turning to her.
“Can I finish getting dressed!?” Rosie cried out.
“I-whatever…” Stiles’s hands dropped and he slumped out of the room. Scott chuckled, closing the door behind him.
“Stiles just almost killed me.” Rosie grumbled. She picked up the rest of her clothes and slipped on her bra.
“Do you have a shirt for me?”
“I think it’ll fit.” She took it from me.
“You were a scout!? That is so cute!” She squealed, jumping on me and hugging my neck.
“I think I was. I don’t remember.” I blushed a bit.
“That’s still cute.” She kissed my cheek before letting go and pulling the shirt over her head. It fit fine.
“Perfect.” She grinned and winked at me and turned to the door.
“Rosie, wait.” I pulled her back, into my arms. I brought her backwards and sat on my bed, Rosie standing over me. “Rosie.”
“Isaac…” She giggled, turning her hand and intertwining our fingers.
“Rosie, I really, really want to be with you.” Her smile fell and she turned her head away. “Please, Rosie.”
“I-Isaac…I’m still-”
“Scared of me. Terrified of me. I know. But please. Last night-”
“Was perfect. But-”
“But nothing! Please, Rosie. What aren’t you telling me?”
“I’m telling you everything.”
“You’re lying. And I know it.”
“I’m scared, Isaac. I’m scared of being in a relationship and then you finding someone who is ten times better than I could ever be. Like Erica.”
“E-Erica? You’re scared about Erica?”
“No not…not just Erica…Allison…Lydia. I’m nothing compared to them. You could look around Beacon Hills and find fifteen girls better than me.”
“Yeah? Well I beg to fucking differ. I want you, Rosie, not Erica, not Allison, not Lydia. No girl in Beacon Hills who’s name isn’t Rosemary Tulin-Stilinski. And I don’t know many girls with that name. Just one, one perfect, spectacular, opinionated girl.”
“I-Isaac, please. Give me more time. You’re a fu-…” She dropped her head. “You’re a werewolf.”
“No. Tell me what I am.”
“A werewolf.” She whispered.
“What am I, Rosemary?”
“A werewolf, Isaac.” I twisted my hand and grabbed her wrist, pulling her towards me. She fell forward, on her knees over my lap.
“Rosemary. What the hell am I?”
“A-a fucking monster.” I put a hand on the back of her neck, pulling her down, closer to my face.
“That’s why? Because you think I’m a monster?” I seethed. I was getting angry.
“Do you know how many nightmares I’ve had about you? Just you alone? How many times I’ve lived you killing me and then woke up in a sweat and Stiles holding me still, so I didn’t hurt myself?” Her hands ripped through her hair and tangled it at the end. “Isaac, I am completely terrified of the monster side of you. But the side of you, that saved my life, and-and kissed me last night, I love that side. So yes, it is partly because I am terrified of you becoming a monster. I saw you and you looked so terrifying-”
“Okay…okay…I-I’m sorry.”
“You don’t have to be.” She kissed me, softly, holding my face close to hers.
“Hey-what the hell are you two doing?”
“Stiles, stop.”
“Nope. I’m going in.”

The door opened and Stiles glared at me. Rosie pulled back and glanced back at her brother.
“Dad wants to know where you are.”
“I-okay.” She slipped back, off my lap. She picked up her discarded shirt from last night and looked at Stiles. Stiles glared back at me and put his hand on her back to guide her out.
“Sorry, man.”
“It’s fine…”
“Isaac.”
“I’m fine, Scott.” I got up, taking my clothes from last night, and pushed past him.

I stared out the window, avoiding Stiles at all costs.
“Why him?” I didn’t look over. “You had sex with Isaac, of all people…and you’re not going to talk to me.”
“What d’you want me to say, Stiles?” I snapped, turning my head to look at him. “Yes I had sex with Isaac. No I’m not a virgin anymore. Sorry I don’t want to talk to my brother about it.”
“Are you two even dating?”
I swallowed hard. “No.”
“So…that was a onetime thing?” Stiles clenched his jaw and pulled into the driveway.
“I don’t know, Stiles. Why don’t you go and interrogate Isaac? Or are you not done with me?” I threw open the door and quickly stormed into the house.
“Rosie?” I ignored Dad and continued up to my bed.
I collapsed on it and began crying.
So many things we were wrong with last night. We didn’t even have protection, and I’m not even on any kind of pill and now Stiles is mad at me and Dad’s going to know because Stiles has a big mouth.
What if it was a onetime thing?

Look at them being all cute and Stiles being all brotherly! I just love it! Do you love it too?
But then she doubted herself in the end. She doubted her and Isaac's relationship. Do you think Sheriff's gonna find out?
These updates might become farther apart because school is starting again. I wasn't sure I was going to get this up today because I've begun cheerleading tryouts, but I will try my best!
