A Part of the Team
Girls, Girls, Girls
I went out to the ice because practice was starting As I approached the ice I remembered that I had to get the the penalty box. And of course I am not going to ask because I can do it myself. So I sat down on the freezing cold ice and of course receiving weird looks and glances Adams said
"Alyssa?"
As I scooted past him said
"Yeah?"
"What the hell are you doing?"
"My new job."
"Your job is to clean the ice with your ass?"
We all laughed and I said
"No its to be in the box and calm you guys down. But I cant ice skate so here we are with Nealsy skating circles around me and you interviewing me."
"Why don't you just walk?"
"Because this is much more fun and innovative plus I am almost there see."
He smiled and gave me a high five I got in the penalty box and watched them practice and for the first five minutes I was in awe of the box. Then things started to get boring and I started to dose off, until I heard Coach yell my name I quickly stood and said
"Yes coach?"
"You have a injured player here."
"Oh okay."
I guess I fell asleep and as soon as I was about to run over I whined
"But coach Dan, what if on live television I fall on my ass as I am trying to get to him?"
"Its your problem just get over here quick."
I backed up and told everyone to stop skating as I charged the ice and fell forward on purpose to slide right beside the 'injured player' I looked up and said
"Good."
He said
"Alyssa you get a 10 out of 10 what a great landing"
and I got a round of applause as I cheered.
After practice
"Okay so now you just go around to each of the players and ask them if they need anything okay. But first I need to make the announcement to the group."
I nodded and walked behind him after knocking we went in and Coach said
"Okay boys I have an announcement that I think you will like,"
he looked to make sure there was no cameras,
"Mario approved the team girls."
They all started to high five and I guess I had a confused look on my face and the Dan bent towards me and said
"Team hookers."
My mouth dropped and then he said to all the guys
"There is going to be four girls total, and Alyssa is picking them out so talk to her for any suggestions."
My mouth dropped even more and I said
"Wait I am doing what?"
"Alyssa?"
