Ride Off Into the Sunset

Noelle held on for dear life as Brian sped down the road and turned a corner. Despite the speed limit of 55 miles Noelle peeked over his shoulder at his speedometer showing he was going at 85 miles.

This scared her more also considering the fact she wasn't wearing a helmet. She started tapping on his shoulder. He turned looking at her.

"Pull over!" She yelled over the engine.

He finally slowed down and stopped at a gas station. Noelle jumped off holding her heart. Brian got off too taking off his helmet.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Noelle asked.

"I was rescuing you from that unpleasant meeting you were in." Brian said casually.

"How the hell did you find out about that?" She asked

"Jimmy duh!" Brian said. "He told me about your little situation about how you wanted to escape it."

"That's why he was smirking yesterday." Noelle said smacking her forehead.

"For a straight A student you don't seem to be common sense smart." Brian said with a smile.

"Don't insult me!" Noelle said furious. "You came in uninvited to a party just sped in you could've hurt someone!"

"I didn't though did I?" He asked in a uncaring tone.

"You could've!" Noelle went on. "My mom is probably hysterical and worried!"

Brian rolled his eyes. "If you're so worried about mommy dearest you can call her when we get there."

"Get where?" Noelle asked confused.

"The place I was taking you before you made me stop." He said getting back on the bike. "You coming or not?"

"I'm not going anywhere with you." Noelle said.

"You could always go back home and explain everything to mommy and get grounded early." He said. "Or you could come with me and enjoy the rest of your freedom."

Noelle thought about his suggestions then sighed. "Do you have another helmet?"

He smiled that famous smile producing another helmet. Taking it Noelle put it on and climbed back on holding onto him.

"Hang on!" He yelled over the engine and sped away.

As Noelle clinged onto him she couldn't help but admire the scenery as they past it. The wind blowing through the helmet and through her hair made her feel like a bird flying.

After driving for ten minutes Brian parked in a bar.

"You're taking me to a bar?" Noelle asked in disbelief taking off her helmet.

"Chill it's not just a bar it's a place for people like me and Jimmy can come to, to be amongst people who are just like us." Brian explained.

Noelle stilled looked skeptical.

"Julia is here too if it makes you feel better." Brian said smiling.

Noelle handed him her helmet and followed him to the bar. Opening the door she entered seeing different kinds of lights, people are her age and older were drinking, smoking, dancing, etc.

Noelle got nervous as people started noticing her and her clothes which made her really stand out.

Everyone was dressed in either black, band shirts, chains, studded belts and wristbands, boots, rippled jeans, etc.

She felt a hand grab hers. She looked up seeing Brian.

"Just stay close to me and don't worry." He said with one of his rare genuine smiles.

She nodded and let him lead her further in. She finally spotted Jimmy and Julia sitting with a group composed of three guys and two girls.

"Noelle you're finally here!" Jimmy said getting up and hugging her.

"Yeah I see you told Brian about the meeting and he kidnapped me." Noelle said.

"Not kidnap rescue." Jimmy said. "What kind of knight would I be if I didn't save the two fair maidens?"

Noelle couldn't help but laugh. "Julia how you managed to come here?"

"Parents are out for now Jimmy came to my house and Helen let me go with him." Julia said.

Noelle nodded and looked at the other people at the table.

One guy had black hair which fell in his face a little he also had piercing around his mouth. The next guy was a little guy with a blond/black Mohawk with a nose ring. The third guy was huge with a buzzed head, baseball cap, and cat looking eyes that pierce Noelle. The first girl had bleached blonde hair and a friendly smile. The last girl had brown hair and looked similiar to the blonde girl.

"You gonna sit or stand there and look?" The big guy asked with a deep dimpled smile.

Noelle sat down with Brian beside her.

"I'm Matt." The big guy said still smiling.

"Zacky." The black haired guy said.

"Johnny." The little one said.

"I'm Valary." The blonde girl said. "And this is my twin Michelle." She pointed to her.

"I'm Noelle." She said nervously these people kinda scared her.

"Nice to meet you." Valary said smiling.

"Noelle that's a pretty name." Zacky said grinning.

"Let's get some drinks over here." Matt said ordering shots for everyone.

The drinks arrived in no time while everyone including Julia chugged down. Noelle stared at hers.

"You're not gonna take the shot?" Brian asked amused.

"What if I get drunk?" Noelle asked.

"I'll make sure you won't." Brian said sincerely.

He handed her the glass she looked at it and at everyone. They gave her encouraging smiles Jimmy giving her a thumbs up.

She sighed before downing it down. She coughed slightly.

"Well?" Jimmy asked.

"It burns but it tastes good." Noelle admitted.

Matt smirked and ordered another round. After a while Noelles head started throbbing. She rubbed her head.

"Think it's time for you to stop." Brian said taking the shot from her and finishing it.

"Dance with me." Jimmy said grabbing Julia and pulling her out to the floor. Jimmy was dancing all over the place but it made Julia laughed he dipped her really low almost touching the floor. Then he lifted her up causing her to wrap her legs around his waist.

She giggled as he started spinning around.

"Brian I need to call my mom." Noelle told him.

He nodded leading her to a pay phone and walking back to the table.

After paying the phone rang four times before someone answered it.

"Hello?" Cynthia said.

"Hi Cynthia it's Noelle." She said relieved that her mom didn't answer the phone.

"Noelle where are you?" Cynthia asked frantic. "Your parents are worried and are about to call the police."

"Tell them them okay I'm with some friends and I'll be home soon." Noelle said.

"You're with Jimmy aren't you?" Cynthia asked with a smile in her voice.

"Yes I am and Julia is with us too." Noelle said.

"Okay I trust Jimmy so I believe you're okay I'll try to keep your parents from calling the police." Cynthia said.

"Thanks Cyndi bye." Noelle said hanging up.

"Ellie dance with us." Julia said grabbing her mad while Valary grabbed the other.

The four girls danced in circles like they were little kids again to Katy Perrys Last Friday Night. Noelle laughed as Michelle grabbed her arms and started to jump making her jump too. Noelle couldn't remember ever having this much fun.

After a while the song stopped. The girls walked over to the guts sitting down. At that moment We Belong Together by Mariah Carey started playing.

Jimmy smiled and led Julia to the floor, Matt lead Valary out, while Michelle danced with Johnny and Zacky.

Noelle sat there alone looking at her new friends having fun and feeling left out. She sighed and noticed a big guy who was drunk approached her.

"Want to dance?" He slurred trying to touch her leg.

"No thank you." She said slapping his hand away.

"Don't be like that." He said grabbing her.

"I said no!" Noelle said hitting him.

"I believe she said no." Brian said grabbing the guy and slamming him against the table. "Now get your fat ass out of here and if you try to mess with her again I'll fuck you up understand?"

The guy nodded and stumbled away.

"You okay?" He asked Noelle.

"Yes thank you." She said smiling.

"Anytime." He said smiling back. "Want to dance?"

"Sure." Noelle said taking his hand.

After getting in a spot Brian put his hand on her waist and spun her around slowly. Noelle found herself enjoying this. She looked at their hands intertwined. Brian smiled pulling her closer. She lead her head on his chest hearing his heartbeat and closing her eyes.

Julia looked up at Jimmy and nodded in their direction. Jimmy smiled and they both laughed before he stood her on his feet again and put his chin on her head.

The song ended. Noelle opened her eyes and looked into Brians. Seeing how close they were she quickly pulled away. He gave her a smile before walking to the bar.

She sat back at the table where Michelle was sitting.

"You'd have fun out there?" She asked.

Noelle nodded. "Haven't had this much fun in ever."

Michelle laughed. "With these jokers it's nothing but fun."

"I can tell." Noelle said laughing at Jimmy who had Julia and Johnny over his shoulders.

"So who are you with?" Noelle asked.

"No one I used to be with Brian." Michelle said.

Noelle didn't know why she felt awkward talking to Brians ex it's not like she was dating him.

"What happened?" Noelle asked curious.

"Just wasn't working out and Brian found some trouble." She said. "But we're still friends.

Noelle nodded she wondered what kind of trouble Brian had gotten in.

"He's nice when he wants to be but acts like be doesn't care about things." Noelle said.

"He's always been like that but he does care about people." Michelle said. "I can tell he likes you."

"I don't know why I'm nothing special." Noelle said.

"You don't think you are but you are to him." Michelle said with a smile. Noelle returned it.

They talked a little more then Noelle noticed Brian going out the door. She looked at Michelle who gave her an encouraging smile.

Getting up Noelle went outside to find Brian smoking of course. She walked towards him.

"Thought my smoking bother you." Brian said with a smirk.

"Well you won't listen to me even if it does so I'm not gonna say anything about it again." She said standing beside him.

He chuckled and looked at the sky. She looked too.

"Why'd you come out here?" She asked.

"Needed to be alone." He said. "Why'd you come out."

"To see why you came out." Noelle said laughing Brian joined her. They stopped looking at the sky again.

Noelles eyes slowly drifted to Brian as she looked at him. She noticed a scar on the side of his neck.

Without thinking she reached out to touch it. Brian grabbed her hand turning to look at her.

"What the fuck are you doing?" He asked slightly angry.

"I'm sorry I was just curious about that scar I've never seen it before." She said.

"That's because I keep it well hidden." He said covering it with his jacket collar.

"I'm sorry." Noelle repeated.

"Stop apologizing you didn't do anything wrong." He said a smile forming.

"How did you get it?" She asked curious.

"Stick around and I'll tell you the story of how I got it." Brian said stoping his cigarette.

"Let's get you home." He said.

Noelle got up and shivered. Brian placed his jacket around her shoulders.

She smiled he returned it before leading her back inside the bar.
