James’ POV
I could hear a strange beeping and I groaned when it didn’t stop. I heard the door open and I heard someone say Bella’s name. She groaned and she sat up. The beeping stopped and I felt her get out of bed. I shifted and put my face into the pillow.

“Why now?”

“There was an accident up north and they’re transferring some down here”

I heard something open and a chuckle.

“Really you’re changing in front of me?”

“You’ve seen me in underwear before, now get out so I can put on a bra on”

I heard a laugh and I recognized it was a guy, Chris.

“James”

I opened my eyes to see Bella looking at me. I closed them again and I heard her laugh lightly.

“I got called in but ill be back by the time you wake up”

I nodded and opened my eyes.

“What time is it?” I mumbled lifting my head.

Chris was already in scrubs and Bella was halfway through that.

“5am”

I made a face and she laughed. How on earth could she be so happy!

“I know. I’ll be back by like noon ok?”

I nodded.

“We can shave your beard together!”

I nodded and I felt her lips against mine.

“Go back to bed you look really tired”

She pushed my hair back and I heard the door close. Time for bed…again. I heard her move around then the door closed lightly. I heard the car turn on and then it got really quiet.

Bella’s POV
I walked into the house with Jas and Chris behind me. They went straight up to the their room and I headed to the backyard.

“Afternoon Bella”

I smiled at Beau

“Hi Beau Beau” I said kissing his cheek.

I moved to my next person, which was Sidney who I kissed on his cheek. I kissed Eric’s cheek and James looked up at me. I pecked his lips and he smiled at me.

“How was work?”

I sat next to him as Eric handed me my plate of food.

“It was well. They had us doing stitches because the problem was that a tree fell and some idiots tried to drive over it. Needless to say they had to be airlifted to the hospital” I said eating a piece of my strawberry.

“How are the dodgers doing?” I asked Eric.

He looked at his phone and stuffed a piece of pancake into his mouth.

“They lost last night and they’ll probably lose again tonight. Stupid dodgers”

I smiled and shrugged.

“Better than the pirates though”

All of them looked at Eric who took a sip of his water and smiled.

“Born and raised in LA guys”

They all nodded and continued eating.

“How dare you Beau so were you”

Beau laughed and continued eating.

“He likes getting on people’s nerves”

“It works like a charm” I told James.

He laughed and ate some of his eggs. My phone lit up and I looked at the phone.

“When do you head for summer training?”

James looked at Eric and then glanced at me

“I’m staying here for a bit”

I smiled at James as he looked at me and he put his fork down.

“Are you all going to Chicago?”

I made a face and nodded.

“Yea we need to go see our family in Chicago. My mom is over there right now with my dad and Adam. Adam is just begging for us to hurry up and get there but Bells still has a few hours to do”

James nodded and looked at me.

“I hope the Bruins lose” I told him.

He smiled and nodded.

“You think Chicago is going to win tonight?”

“Sadly yes, they’re going to destroy my Kings and Tyler will fall in the finals or bust his lip or something.”

James chuckled and Eric sat up.

“We have a great back up and our goalie is good but he’s tired. He’s a great goalie but you know he isn’t going to go without a fight”

James nodded and he finished his lunch. I bit some of my toast and picked up my hair in a ponytail.

“Let me shower, change and we can do something” I said.

He nodded.

“I thought we were going for a walk or something”

I smiled.

“You don’t have to do that” I told him.

He smiled.

“Help me shave and then we go for a walk?”

Beau made a gagging noise and I looked at him.

“Oh you shaved already” I told him.

He did a face and mimicked what I said as he sipped his water. Sidney chuckled and I looked at him.

“When are you getting those teeth fixed?” I asked him.

I made a face at him when I saw his bent teeth. He laughed and took a sip of his water.

“Next week”

I nodded and smiled.

“I’m going to miss you guys, but I will see Beau in LA” I said.

He gave me a wink and James frowned.

“Me and Beau are Cali born people James. We have a bond” I said.

Beau slung his arm over my shoulder and I laughed at him.

“Keep him out of trouble”

Beau frowned and I looked up at Beau.

“How sneaky are you Blondie?”

He grinned and I laughed.

“Teach me your ways and Ill teach you mine”

He laughed.

“Jasmine told me about the”

“Shh” I said covering his mouth.

He licked my hand and I wiped it on his face.

“Have two brothers think harder” I said.

He laughed and ate a piece of watermelon. James looked at me and i smiled. We could make this work.
