With a shaking hand
I take a drag
from my cigarette,
sitting outside
in the cold,
frosty air
wishing I wasn’t here.
Too many
Thoughts
__________ flooding,
tears
_________________ flowing,
my mind,
________________________ drowning
in guilt.
I have no reason
to be guilty
but death causes
you to feel
every kind of emotion
including guilt.
And so I am sat here
thinking,
__________ why?
Thinking,
_________________ how?
Thinking,
________________________ what
made him do it?
Even his brother,
now six months clean,
never came to that
and he was in the business for
over eight years.
People die
too
______ often,
too
_____________ much
yet not
____________________ enough
of us are gone.
Death is inevitable
and people die
every day
but you never think
that one day,
it’ll be you,
and it will.
