Audrey's Snow

Audrey's Snow (10)

"Dristin?" I walked into my room. He was sitting there smiling. I was immediately self conscious. I hadn't showered, so my hair was tangled and greasy. I probably smelt like horse shit since I just came from the barn. Plus my outfit was a mess. I was a mess.

"Hello princess. Which movie should we watch? The Notebook, or Pretty Woman?" I laughed at his girly choices of movies.

"What are you doing here? Don't you have school?" I quickly tugged a brush through my hair and pulled it into a messy bun. He shrugged.

"Harley told me that you were home sick, so I just wanted to come home and make sure you were alright. Because, well you know, your back?" I smiled. He was sweet.

"I'm fine. Harley walked in on me changing and saw my back. He isnt going to tell Kevin and Joleen though." I left out the part about forgiving him. I didn't want to have to hang out with him and Harley.

"Well I'm still going to stay and make sure you are fine all day. So I ask again, Pretty Woman, or The Notebook?" I laughed and sat next to him on my bed.

"How about we watch Pretty Woman first, then The Notebook, and then a movie you would actually like." I paused thinking about my appearance again. "After my shower!" He laughed, as if he was just realized what I looked like,

"Fine, I'll be downstairs." He got up and left. I waited until I couldn't hear his steps anymore before picking out another clean, but cute outfit. I ended up grabbing my 'SWAGGY' crop top, and pair of dark grey sweat pants. (Audrey's Outfit)

After my shower, I gave up on looking somewhat cute and ended up throwing my hair up into a messy ballet bun and giving up on the idea of makeup. I stepped out of the bathroom and slipped on my white slipper boots and quietly walking down the stairs.

Dristin was making pancakes. I smiled, remembering how happy Harley looked when he was making them. Too bad he was a cheating bastard. I was brought back to reality when Dristin saw me and let a huge smile erupt on his face.

"I was hoping to be done by the time you came down, but breakfast is almost ready. You sit your pretty little butt down and don't lift a finger" He pointed to a chair and I couldn't help but laugh, and sit down. A couple minutes later a plate of fresh chocolate chip pancakes was set in front of me. I smiled again.

"You are too good to me Dristin!" He just laughed, which made me smile. He got himself a plate and walked around me to sit next to me. I couldn't help but notice him looking at my lower back which was showing because of the crop top I was wearing.

"Your back looks darker, but in a few days you'll be feeling better." He smiled. I shrugged.

"It doesn't hurt too bad right now, after a day of icing it and not doing much moving it should be fine." He raised his eyebrow at me, I did the same thing back to him mocking him.

"You are going to be in school tomorrow?" I nodded, and he just shook his head. "You are crazy. If I had a back like that I would be milking it, telling my mom I couldn't go to school for at least a week."

"Lets be serious, you just wouldn't show up." He shrugged.

"Its scary how well you know me for just starting to talk to me yesterday." He took a huge bite of his pancake and I smiled. He was like a little kid. I don't know why he hangs out with Harley when he would get along with Anthony and Sam way better.

"Lets just say I'm intuitive." He smiled and went back to eating.

The rest of the day consisted of cliche romance movies, even Dristins pick, and laughing, and icing my back, and drawing. I also ended up confessing everything that happened between Harley and I.

"I just can't believe he would cheat on Kimmy. I mean don't get me wrong, I could see any other guy cheating on their girlfriend for you, because you are sexy. But not Harley, he went through so much to get her to go out with him in the first place." I threw my head in my hands, ignoring the sharp pain all the way down my back.

"I'm an idiot! You wan't to know what else I did? I asked to meet her. I have no idea why, I don't want to meet her!" I was talking louder and he just laughed at me shaking his head.

"You'll wan't to meet her. Not that she isn't pretty, but she is nowhere near your level of beautiful. Plus like I said about my girlfriend, Kimmy is small town." I nodded, remembering what Kevin said. I heard a truck rolling up, and I knew Harley was home. Dristin walked out and peeked out the window. "Turns out you'll be meeting her sooner that you thought." I jumped up, again ignoring the pain in my back to look out. Harley was walking in, his arm around a petite blonde girl.

"Audrey?" I heard Harley call. I groaned and stayed where I was. Dristin just quietly laughed and went into the bathroom, like he didn't want to get in the middle of anything. "Oh hey Audrey." Harley poked his head in, and swung the door completely open. "This is Kimmy." I could tell he was uncomfortable.

Kimmy was about my height. She had beautiful dirty blonde hair that looked like it had never been damaged by a straightener or a curling iron. She had happy blue eyes, but her nose was a bit big. I couldn't help but notice some small acne scars next to her eyebrows. She was still beautiful, but those little imperfections comforted me. She smiled.

"Hi Audrey. I'm so happy I finally get to meet you." She gave me a toothy smile. Her teeth were crooked and she had a gap. I smiled back and stuck my hand out for her to shake.

"Nice to meet you too." Dristin came sauntering out of the bathroom, and stopped when he saw that they were still here. I suppose he thought that Harley would just say 'this is Kimmy bye'. Harleys eyes went wide when he saw Dristin.

"Wait, are you and Dristin dating! We should go on a double date!" Kimmy said. I could already feel my cheeks heating up. Harley's face was red, but not because he was embarrassed. He was mad. Before I could decline, I felt an arm gently as if not to hurt me, but firmly wrap around my shoulder.

"We should definitely do that, don't you think so buttercup?" I shot Dristin a glare before smiling and nodding. Harley pretty much shoved Kimmy out of my room and slammed the door. I pushed Dristin off of me and shot him a glare.

"What the hell was that!" I angrily whispered, knowing this house had the thinnest walls in the world. He gave me a sheepish grin.

"Well you wouldn't want Harley thinking you are hung up on him? And you definitely wouldn't want Kimmy thinking there is something between you two. She is a crier." I grimaced, thinking about myself trying to comfort her after telling her what a loser her boyfriend is.

"Fine, we'll go on this double date so I don't look pathetic. But as friends? Okay?" Sure Dristin was cute, but I could never actually date him. He shrugged.

"Works for me. I'm mostly doing this to amuse myself." I rolled my eyes at him, trying to hold back a smile but failing.

"You know this can only end horribly right?" He nodded. Even though it was going to end horribly, I knew seeing Harley jealous would be worth it.
