How Will I Know?

CapĂtulo Cuarenta

*Andrea's P.O.V.*

I loved her. I really did. I just didn't like that I got a job by default. I mean, both of them kind of did as well but still. I was sitting in the studio with Kim and the boys, listening to Sabrina sing as I was going through some magazines that were lying around.

We're in London for God's sake! I can do what ever I want! But what do I want? I mean yeah we're in London but we just got here. I don't really know about anything yet...

And now here we are: three days later.

I was standing in front of a big glass, dressed to make an impression, with trusty visual supports in my purse. I took a deep breath and walked in with my head up high and a smile on my face. I walked up to the receptionist who barley glanced at me from her laptop.

"Can I help you?" she almost spat.

"I'm here to see Miss Walgreen." I said not letting her negative attitude affect me.

"Do you have an appointment?" she finally dared looking at me over her glasses and body checked me.

"I don't."

"Well sorry but Miss Walgreen doesn't receive anyone without an appointment."

"Please. Just tell here that I might be here to save her image... And maybe her job." I added that last part under my breath.

Some people think I'm cocky but I believe that I haven't crossed the line yet between cocky and confident. I was contemplating a weird abstract portrait on the wall when my thoughts where interrupted:

"You wanted to see me?" A sharp tone asked.

"Hello Miss Walgreen. My name is Andrea Wright and I would have something I would like to discuss with you if you have time." She puckered, body checked me as well before signing me to follow her in her office.

"And what may I owe the honor Miss Wright? What can I do for you? Please sit down." she mentioned me to take a seat and so I did as she did the same on the other side of her chestnut desk.

"The question is, what can I do for YOU?" I paused and started taking out various magazines from my purse. On those magazines, you could read various headlines such as: "Our team but not the player we know", "Playing footsie more than on the field", and the one that might be the worst, "Thomas Vermaelen doesn't deny the affair".

"And how is this relevant Miss Wright? I've already seen all of those." she pursed her lips at me.

"I'm a public relation graduate and I would like to offer you my services. Just by reading these magazines, I can see multiple errors have been committed, the first one being that Mr. Vermaelen didn't pronounce himself on the scandal, permitting journalist to make conclusions. I started I little catch up plan that I would love to share with you if you permitted."

Two hours later, I was the new pubic relation person for the biggest football team in London; the Arsenal. I had actually done it. I never though I would have gone all the way and that it would actually result into something. Now to break the news to Sabrina. I had absolutely no idea how she would react that I was no longer working for her.

Once I got home, I found Kimberly sitting on the living room couch, watching Peter Pan. Big surprise! and Sabrina was in the kitchen Skyping with Ben about the video shoot the following day.

"Hey Ben." I said coming into the screen's view.

"Hi Andrea." he waved and smiled at me from his side of the computer screen.

"Can we talk?" I turned to Sab and she furrowed her eyebrows worriedly.

"Yeah sure. Ben, I think we're done for today eh? I'll see you tomorrow."

"Okay! See you tomorrow Sab! You too Andrea!"

"Sure will Ben." I smiled back and took a seat on the opposite side of the table.

"So, what's up buttercup?" she closed her laptop and gave me a smile that didn't reach her eyes. I could tell she was worried. I took a big breath and decided to go straight to the point:

"Sab, you know I love you. I just, I want to do my own thing. I don't want to have a job by default. I don't want to work for you. As a matter of fact, you're sitting in front of the newest PR person for the Arsenal!" I smiled weakly before biting my lip slightly.

Sabrina threw me her eraser. "Is that all? I thought something was wrong!"

"You're not mad at me?"

"Of course not silly!" she got up to hug me. "The only reason I got you the job in the first place was so that you didn't feel left out. I didn't want you moping around alone everyday but you got a job that you really want to do and I will never be mad at you for that! Congrats!" she hugged me again.

"What are we congratulating Andrea on?" Kim said walking into the kitchen with her empty popcorn bowl.

"Well, you are now looking at the new PR person for London's Arsenal!" Sabrina smiled widely at Kim.

"Oh congratulations A!" she hugged me as well. "I know a couple of boys of will be jealous of you hanging out with the biggest football team in London." she chuckled and so did I.

This turned out to be a great day.
