Teenage Dirtbag

Get your party on

Jack's POV
That night we had all gathered at We Are The In Crowd's apartment to celebrate our and Haley's record deal. Tay had invited us to celebrate it at their home. She told me her band mates were resistant at first but she convinced them anyway.

After what Haley told me this afternoon, I wanted to look kind of nice for Tay as well. I was standing in front of my closet, trying to decide what to wear. Both Haley and Rachel were lying on my bed. I asked them to come over to help me get ready but so far they had been no help whatsoever. I grabbed a pillow from the chair next to me and threw it at Haley.

"Help me!" I cried out.
"Jesus Jack, since when do you not know how to dress yourself?" Haley sighed, but she got up anyway.
"Since I want to impress Tay" I answered.
"Aaah how cute" Rachel cooed.
"Shut up" I told her. "Why are you even here?"

"Hey, I have just as much right to go to my sister's celebration party as you do" she said offended.
"Not really, as it is my celebration party as well" I told her.
She tilted her head. "But I'm like a little sister to you"
"Okay, okay, you can come. Now find me something to wear" I said.

Haley had just started going through my closet when the doorbell rang. We were home alone, so no one else would go open the door. Rachel got up and peeked through the window.
"It's Alex" she said.
"I'll go get it" Haley replied. "How about you help this drama queen with her clothing crisis."
"I'm on it" Rachel replied.
"Hey, I'm not a drama queen!" I exclaimed.
"Yes you are" Haley said, leaving my room, while Rachel started going through my closet.

Rachel kept throwing shirts on the ground, while saying "no" every time she did so.
"What's wrong with all of those shirts?" I asked.
"They won't help you impress Tay" she simply replied.
"Then what am I supposed to do? Wear a mini skirt and show some cleavage?" I asked.

"And show those hairy legs of yours? I wouldn't recommend that" Haley, who entered the room with Alex, said.
"Alex, I need your help!" I exclaimed desperately.
"He really is being a drama queen" Alex said, looking at Haley.
"Told ya" she replied.

"Just put on a shirt, some pants, socks, shoes and you'll be fine" Alex shrugged.
"And underwear, don't forget underwear" Haley added.
"What... Never mind" I shook my head. "I'm already wearing underwear Haley."
"How should I know?" she said, while sitting down on my bed again. "Hurry the fuck up, we were supposed to be at Tay's 5 minutes ago."

"Then help me!" I exclaimed.
"What are you, a 5 year old?" Haley asked, while Rachel threw a shirt at my face.
"Wear that" she said.
I was just grabbing the shirt from my shoulder when she threw a pair of black jeans at me.

"Will you stop that?" I exclaimed.
"Only if you get dressed" she replied.
"Fine" I sighed, and headed for the bathroom to change.

Haley's POV
"Finally!" I yelled after him.
"Fuck you!" he yelled back.
"Hey!" Alex yelled in his turn. "That's my girlfriend you're talking to!"

I couldn't help but smile. "You're not jealous, are you?" I asked Alex while poking his side.
"You know I've always been jealous of the very romantic relationship between the two of you. You're always so kind to one another" he replied, slinging his arm around me.
"I know right" I said before kissing his cheek.

This time it was Rachel who threw a pillow at me.
"Get a room!" she exclaimed.
Jack returned. "Let's go then" he said, and we all got up and headed for Alex's car.

We all got in and Alex drove to Tay's apartment. When a song I didn't like came on on the radio, I kept switching channels until I found a song I did like: Dammit by Blink-182. A few seconds later we were all singing along to it enthusiastically. We all grew up listening to Blink and knew their songs by heart. I was playing air guitar along as well, something I did while listening to any song I had learned on guitar. From the corner of my eye, I noticed Alex laughing at my enthusiasm, but I didn't pay attention to it.

Before the song was over, we got to Tay's apartment, so Jack and I made Alex drive around the block until the song ended.
"You're weird" Alex said, when we finally allowed him to park the car when the song ended.
"But you love it" I joked, sticking out my tongue.

We all got out of the car and walked up to the front door. Rian's car was already parked in front of the apartment, so I figured him, Zack and Cassadee were already here, which wasn't very strange since we were pretty late.

Jack rang the doorbell, and Tay herself opened the door seconds later.
"Sorry we're fashionably late. Literally. Right Jack?" I said, while walking in.
Tay looked at us in confusion. "Jack will explain" Rachel added, as we walked into the living room.

I was immediately jumped by Cassadee exclaiming congratulations.
"Thanks" I said smiling as she let go of me. The WATIC boys came up to me to congratulate me, as Cassadee went to congratulate Alex and Jack. After we were all inside, Tay came up to me and Alex to congratulate us as well.

Tay's POV
After I had congratulated Alex and Haley - I had already congratulated Jack over the phone - I sat down on one of the couches. Jack soon sat down next to me.
"Hey you" he said softly.
"Hey" I replied. "So tell me, how did it go?"
Jack started to tell what happened at Josh's office.

When he was finished he went to get us some drinks. He returned with mixture of multiple kinds of alcohol.
"It's really cool you have band mates who are allowed to buy alcohol" he said, while sitting down.
"I don't really drink, but yeah, I guess" I replied.
"Oh..." Jack said, looking at the cups he was holding.
"Okay fine, I'll drink tonight. It is a special occasion after all" I said, taking one of the glasses from him.

"To dreams coming true!" Jack exclaimed, raising his glass. I did the same, but Jack wasn't satisfied yet. "Hey! All of you! Raise your glass to dreams coming true!" he yelled.
Everyone did as they were told and Jack looked very pleased with himself. I took a sip from the drink Jack made me. I almost spit it out again. It was gross. I didn't want to tell that to Jack though as he was so proud of the mix drink he made.

"You like it?" he asked.
I faked a smile and nodded. "Yeah" I replied.
Jack took a sip as well and was silent for a moment. "Really? Because it's disgusting."
I couldn't keep my face straight. "Yes it is, I just didn't want to tell you" I said laughing.
"Okay, I'll get us something else" he said, taking both of our cups and heading for the kitchen to empty them in the sink.

I couldn't help but smile when he walked off. How long was I going to keep this up? I knew sooner or later I would not be able to resist the boy anymore. Was I even going to keep this up? Maybe Jack was worth the risk...

I got up and walked over to Jack, who was now getting us new drinks.
"How about we have them outside?" I asked, pointing at the cups.
Jack raised his eyebrows curiously. "Fine by me" he replied.

I took one of the cups from him, and lead him to our yard. We sat down on the wooden bench we sat on only a few weeks ago, when Jack told me he didn't like-like me.
"What is this even?" I asked, holding up my cup and inspecting the content.
"It's just coke" Jack laughed. "Trust me."
"Okay" I said, taking a sip. It was indeed just coke.

"So... Why did you want to go outside?" he asked.
I pulled my legs up onto the bench. "I wanted to talk" I replied.
"About...?" Jack asked.
"Us" I replied.
"What about us?" he asked.

"Are you still in love with Aimee?" I asked.
"No" Jack said resolute.
"Do you like me?" I then asked.
"Yes" he replied.
"Like I like you?"
"I suppose. I don't know how you like me" he replied.

I looked into his eyes and in that moment I decided to just go with my guts for once.
"Like this" I said softly and I leaned into him, closing my eyes and pressing my lips onto his.
At first he stiffened, probably taken by surprise, but then he eagerly kissed me back, moving his hand to my cheek and then to my neck. The kiss lasted until I was running out of breath and pulled away. I opened my eyes and looked at him. Jack was grinning like a little kid and I couldn't help but do the same.

"We should do that again some time" he said sheepishly.
"I suppose we should" I replied, and before I even finished my sentence, Jack's lips were pressed onto mine again, kissing me a little rougher this time. We once again kissed until we ran out of breath.

I adjusted my body a little and lay my head on his shoulder. He wrapped his skinny arms around me and rested his head on mine. We sat there for quite a while, just looking at the night sky above us, until the back door opened and Haley and Rachel busted through it.

"Jack, we...! Oh.." Haley exclaimed when she noticed us. "We wanted to do a drinking game but I see you're... occupied".
"I'm game if you are" Jack said, looking at me.
"I'm not playing, but we can go inside. I'll just try to make sure you guys won't get shitfaced" I replied.
"You sure you don't mind?" he asked.
I shook my head. "Come on"
We both got up. Jack grabbed my hand and we followed Haley and Rachel inside.
