The Poetry Teacher

I was creeped out and I'm sure I didn't see this really cute guy sitting next to me before. Once the experiment started, I asked him, "How did you get here so fast?"

He said with a shrugg, "Well I figured somebody needed a lab partner, so I'm here."

I nodded and smiled, "Well that was really nice of you ...."

He finished, "It's Josh, you?"

I said gladly, "Sandy, um it was nice to meet you Josh and thanks."

He smiled and said, "It was nice meeting you too, sandy, anytime."

We started working on the experiment and we did some mistakes here and there, but it was great. I finally made a good friend that is my age and is unbelievably cute, but kinda mysterious. Figuring the experiment out almost took the whole period, so a couple of minutes before the bell, the teacher told us to wrap up. Josh and i started to put things where they were before, and I could feel him starring at me from time to time. I felt kinda awkward, because I had a boyfriend and i barely knew the guy for him to be starring in such a way.

The bell finally rang and I was picking up my stuff as everyone left and Josh was standing next to me. When i was finished, he said, "Um, Sandy can I walk you to class?"

I replied surprisingly, "Yeah, if you want to."

He smiled and we headed out into the hall. That's when all the secrets about this guy poured out.

I asked him, "So when did you get to this place?"

He said, "Last week, I just came from L. A."

I replied, "Cool, so um, can you explain to me what just happened in class?"

He looked down and said, "I don't know if I should tell you."

I said reasuringly, "It's okay it's the first day you talk to me, I understand. I guess you're just incredibly fast that's all."

He remarked, "That's right and Sandy, um I really liked being lab partners with you today."

I smiled and said, "You welcome, you're sweet Josh, you make such an awsome friend."

He smiled the same way as I did, and I said, "Well this is me, thanks for walking me."

He replied as he did before, "Anytime, bye Sandy."

I waved back and headed inside English, he left, and I took my seat. The teacher walked in before all the students filled the class, and it was in session. I was thinking if I should tell Billie about him or not, would he get jealous? Of course he would, but he has to understand he's just a friend nothing else.

The bell rang after a long lesson about essays, I grabbed my bag and headed out. My head was filled with thoughts and I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. I turned around with wonder and it was Josh, again, how does he do do this things?!

He said, "Hey there, were you thinking about something?"

I said slowly, "Yeah, um, how did you know?"

He just said, "Lucky guess, well where are you heading right now?"

I repied, "Poetry, but I could walk there on my own."

He said sadly, "Well ok, is it far from here?"

I said, "Not really, it's just down the stairs, no biggie."

He remarked, "Well ok, um, guess I'll see you later?"

I said, "Yeah, well, bye."

He did a small wave and walked away to his class, I felt bad, but it was either this or owing an explanation to Billie, and I wasn't in the mood for that. I finally reached the magnet hall and went directly to his class. He smiled as he saw me and I sat down on a desk.

He looked worried and said, "What's wrong sweety? Is everything fine?"

I replied, "Well, I don't know if this is the best place to tell you cuz it's a long story, and we won't have enough time to talk."

He looked around the classroom and said, "You got a point there, Sandy, we'll talk about it during lunch, how does that sound?"

I said with a smile, "That sounds great, well go do your thing."

He sighed and said, "Alright, I hate not getting a moment."

I patted him on the back and said, "It would be okay, sweety, think about lunch and afterschool."

He acted like he thought about it and said, "Ok, all better now."

I smiled and gave him a small kiss on the lips, luckily the students didn't get here yet. Billie headed to his desk and continued with his papers. As he was doing that, he was looking at me from time to time and kept throwing me kisses. This is his main way for acting normal and it was quite funny, but I liked it. I kept laughing silently and blew them back at him, as I was catching them.

One student came in and we stopped playing around, now it was really normal, like if it never happened, but he still kept looking at me and smiling. I couldn't help but smile back, trying not to make it obvious. Then, a bunch of other students came in and class actually started. It was great as always and Billie would be walking around the class as students were working on their songs or poems. He whispered, "i love u," in my ear and I couldn't help but smile. I mouthed to him smiling, "Really? I love you too," when no one was looking.

That counted as the first I love you of all time, since he wanted to tell me and stuff, he couldn't hold it in until now. I felt so warm inside, he is so amazing, I couldn't even have any other words to discribe him and if I did, it would be a really long list. A while later, the bell rang and Billie and I waited for everybody to get out. As the last student walked out and no one was in the hall way, I gave Billie the longest kiss of my life. After it felt like forever, we pulled away.

He said, "That was the best kiss I've ever had in my entire life, it was better than my first kiss!"

I just said, "You welcome sweetheart, any other words?"

He said, "I love you sweetyplums, I'm sorry I couldn't hold it in to the best moment."

I replied, "It's okay Billie, really, I loved it."

He smiled and gave me another awsome kiss, when we finished, we headed out on a little date. He took me to Olive Garden for our first date and it was one of the best days of my life, but the main one that actually meant something and reached out to me the most.

Once we reached the restaurant, we got off billie's car, held hands, and walked inside. A nice waitress met us in the entrance and sat us in a booth. It felt awsome to be here, considering I've never been here before, but i heard it was Billie's favorite restaurant.

This is when the whole coversation started. He said, "So, sweetyplums, you wanted to tell me something that we chose to talk about in lunch?"

I said nervously, "Right, um, I kinda met this guy that chose to be my lab partner today in chem. Well he just appeared out of nowhere and well, I was kinda surprised about it, cuz I'm sure I didn't see him when i got in class, and actually sitting next to me. He's name is Josh, he's really nice, and he's my new friend."

Billie nodded as he was taking in the info, and said, "So this guy is not normal is he?"

I replied, "I don't really know, I guess he has a talent of being incredibly fast, that's all. He said he was from L. A."

Billie finally said, "How long did you talk to this guy?"

I told him, "Well during class and in the hall way, probably since the minute I met him. Billie, he's just a friend."

He said, "I understand, I'm not jealous or anything, I'm just concerned about this guy, I guess. Now let's order shall we?"

I replied, "Billie are you sure you're like ok with this?"

He remarked, "Well yeah I'm sure, why, you expected me to have a panic attack or something?"

I said, "No, I just thought you might get a tad bit jealous and be mad me forever."

He said, "Of course I wouldn't, I'm not 14, and you said he's just a friend, why should I worry?"

I smiled and said, "You're such a good boyfriend, Billie, thanks for understanding."

He smiled and said, "Anytime, well you ready?"

The waitress came back and we ordered our food and drinks, she seemed really nice, but at the same time suspicious about us. Billie and I couldn't help but laugh, but as she went away we laughed in hysterics.

Billie said, "We make the best couple in the world, maybe we should impress someone else."

I smiled and said, "Yup, just look at that couple over there, they're starring at us."

He smiled and said, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

I replied, "Just maybe, should i go first or you?"

He said, "I'll take the lead and you follow."

I nodded and he leaned over the table just as I did, and we kissed, just a peck. The couple stared in aw and started bickering. Billie and I started laughing as the other weitress came with our food. She kept staring at Billie from time to time, and kinda smiling at him and stuff. I got mad and as she said, "Hope you enjoy," I said, "Hope you enjoy my ass."
Billie started laughing as the waitress walked away disapointedly and in shock.

He quickly said, "What was that for? That was hilarious by the way."

I said, "It was maybe, because she was more concentrated on you than on the food she was putting on our table."

Billie looked at me for a sec and said, "You're jealous and I told you I wouldn't be jealous of some guy that just appeared out of nowhere and decided to be your lab partner without you having a clue of who he was."

I replied, "I can't believe you, I wasn't jealous of that witch, i was mad ok, and it just came out. Also, she flirted with you without having to use any words in front of the girlfriend."

He finally said, "You're right, let's not talk about it anymore, we're sounding like an old married couple."

I smiled and said, "Ok, now let's enjoy our first date instead of wasting it on our first stupid arguement."

He said back, "Alright, wanna taste?"

I replied, "Sure."

He placed the food in my mouth and I said, "It tastes awsome, wanna taste mines?"

He said, "Sure."

I placed the food in his mouth and he said jokingly, "It tastes alright."

I gasped and said, "Billie don't say that about my food, it can hear you."

Billie laughed and said, "Now you're giving your food a personanlity, that's something you don't see everyday."

I told him jokingly, "You're something everyone doesn't see everyday."

Billie kicked me on my leg under the table, it hurted a lot! I kicked him back, but harder and could tell it hurted a lot for him.

I smiled then he whispered, "I'm gonna pay you later."

I rolled my eyes smiling and said, "You better, you ow me $20."

He rolled his eyes like I did and said, "How about I pay with a kiss, how's that?"

I said playfully, "You're so cheap, but okay."

I leaned over the table and gave him a peck on the lips as another couple stared. After that we took check and headed out. We arrived at school pretty late, but Billie was excused and i got in trouble, but it wasn't big.
