He stopped to watch her walk away, and all he could think about was painting his skin with her blood. The urge pulsated through him, intense and alive. He needed to see her again, that was essential. But first he needed to remove the obstacle in his way.
Quietly, he slipped back into the bar.
"Couldn't get enough of us, I see."
The bartender regarded him with a smile. He was cleaning a glass when John leaned against the bar and slipped a twenty dollar bill across the top.
"I need information about a possible costumer."
"What's his name?"
"Daniel."
"Last name?"
He thought for a moment. "I didn't catch it. But he's friends with a woman that I met here tonight. She's a lawyer. Her name is Eden."
The bartender grinned, nodding. "Oh, we know her. She's been coming in here for a long time. Very nice girl. Are you sure she's not the one you're after?"
John smirked. "Not at the moment."
