The Letters

Hi Gus,

I’m really sad today. Mommy and Daddy said that we might have to move somewhere else to find jobs. I don’t want to move. I really like Philadelphia. Hannah is really excited about moving. She said she hates school here. But I don’t want to move. I’m scared that other kids will be mean to me because they don’t know me.

Mommy said that she lost her business. She said that her business was to make food for people at parties and get money for it. I think she said it’s called catering. Mommy loves making food for other people so she is really sad. She said that other people were making food at parties too and then she lost money because not many people want her to make them food.

If we move, will you move with us? You can sleep on my bed and I can sleep on the floor! I told somebody today at school that you are my brother. Is that okay if I tell them that?
