Five months ago my life was normal.
Well, as normal as your life can be when you’re a teenage vampire-human hybrid being trained to kill, but whatever.
I went to classes, hung out with my friends, looked at boys. And I was safe.
But everything is different now.
No one is safe, not even the people behind the walls at Draskova’s School for Half Breed Excellence, where I've spent the last thirteen years of my life.
And as if the fight for survival wasn't enough, there’s also the issue of my complicated relationship with one of my trainers--who also happens to be at the center of the mess we're in.
All I ever wanted was to be a Protector.
Now all I want is to survive.
