May I Have This Dance?

[5] You Will Never Win

The next week at lessons, Alex made Jack practice first. That was sort of like a punishment and everyone knew it, because when your first, you don't get all the extra time to stretch and its difficult.

So needless to say, Jack tripped a little over six times and sprained his leg and it was just not enjoyable at all.

Jack, along with the rest of the girls, could tell Alex was acting differently, especially around Jack. So after the class ended, Alex approached Jack and pulled him off to the side, saying quietly, "Last night was a mistake, it didn't mean anything. I was just kind of upset."

Jack scoffed and said, "So do you always get horny when your pissed or just with me?"

He may have said it a bit louder than he intended, and apparently, some of the girls overheard him and said, "Oooh."

Alex immediatly turned red, clearly grasping for words that were out of his reach. "Uh, I..."

"Sorry, I didn't mean it like that." Jack said, and it was the truth.

--

If you looked at Jack's internet browsing history, you'd probably laugh.

There were things such as 'How to get a guy to forgive you,' 'How do you know if your bisexual,' to 'How to have gay sex.'

Right now, Jack was on a WikiHow page on how to get a guy to like you.

After the studied the article until his brain was coming out of his fucking ears, he decided that he was seriously determined to get Alex to like him, no matter how stubborn the both of them may be.

--

Alex still seemed to have been holding a small grudge against Jack, but he was determined to change that.

Jack had said that he 'felt bad for whatever he did,' (Lie, he honestly couldn't care less) and that he wanted to make it up to him, to which Alex reluctantly agreed. Just for the sake of lessening the awkwardness during classes.

They met at the park and had just been wandering around for about ten minutes. It was peaceful outside, birds were chirping and it was breezy.

"So," Jack began. "Tell me about yourself."

Alex smiled. "You really wanna know?"

"Course."

"I play guitar." Alex looked longingly at the birds who flew passed. "I sing, sometimes. Not much anymore though. I like jelly beans. I hate grapefruit. That's kind of it. I'm not very interesting."

Jack laughed a little, taking in all of the answers Alex had given him. The first step was buzzing around in Jack's mind, nagging at him to initiate something. He remembers what he read online.

Make a move:
Compliment him.
Be flirty.
Text him.
Invite him to hang out.
Tell him you're interested.
Take his feelings into account.

"I think your interesting." Jack said as earnestly as he could without seeming fake. "I play guitar, too. You should come over to my house," Jack leaned into Alex's ear in the slightest, breath coming out warm against Alex's neck. "So we can... play."

Alex is either completely fucking oblivious, or just ignored Jack's innuendo, because he just smiled and said, "Okay!" like he just agreed to go to Disneyland.

So Jack waited for another opportunity, still feeling kind of shot down and stupid in the meantime. But nonetheless, the perfect situation arose, where they talked about dating.

"Surely someone as hot as yourself has a boyfriend?" Jack asked, cringing in his mind.

"Actually," Alex said, completely fucking ignoring the compliment, "I uh, have had some bad luck with relationships. I just avoid it all together."

"Oh." Jack said, genuinely surprised for some reason unbeknownst to him. "Well, if you dated me, I could show you how great dating can be."

Alex smiled and said, "Thanks, but no thanks. D'you wanna get some food?"

Jack was trying really hard not to turn into a full blown bitch on wheels.

--

Jack eventually got the younger man's number and saved it to his phone immediately. He wanted to text or call him, just to test if it worked, but that would have been silly.

So Jack had invited him to the park like he did previously. He'd wanted it to be casual, like they were friends.

So there they were, two friends walking at the park. Jack was actually quite nervous about his next move. Normally, he wasn't nervous when asking this to women.

"Hey, Alex?" Jack said, still walking closely beside the younger as their shoulders brushed every so often.

"Hm?"

"Would you, um, like to go on a date?" Jack stumbled, not only in his speech, but there was also a rock in the path.

"With who?" Alex asked, admiring the flowers.

"With me."

Alex stopped walking for a brief moment. "Like, on a date?"

"That's what I just said." Jack said, growing impatient. He wasn't sure why he felt so goddamn nervous and it was pissing him off.

"Um, I... I don't know." Alex said. "It's been a long time since I last dated a guy."

Jack tried not to shove toothpicks in his eyes, or something equally as drastic. "Did you ever date a girl?"

"Ew, don't be gross." Alex said. "Vagina's are weird."

Jack laughed because Alex couldn't be more wrong. "Alright, well how long has it been since you've been with a guy?"

"God, over three years probably."

"Three years?!" Jack said, completely astounded. "When was the last time you've had sex?"

Alex looked embarrassed, kicking at a pebble. "Dunno. A little while."

"If you say three years, I'm going to die." Jack said.

Alex nodded a little bit, telling Jack that this poor guy hadn't had sex in three fucking years, what the fucking fuck.

"And his old are you?" Jack questioned.

"Twenty-three." Alex could no longer cast aside the embarrassment from his features.

"Damn." Jack sighed. "See, you just have to fuck every one and every thing until you realize that everyone is disgusting and then you'll fall in love with something." Jack said, suddenly a love guru. "That's how my parents met and their fuckin' happy as shit."

"That sounds lovely." Alex mumbled.

"Three fucking years, damn."

Alex laughed a little. "Sex wasn't ever enjoyable for me."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Jack asked. He reached up a hand to fix his hair as the wind got slightly stronger.

"It means what I just said. It never made me feel as good as what people say its supposed to be, I guess." Alex seemed clearly uncomfortable with the topic, but now Jack was relentlessly curious.

"They were probably doing it wrong. I have sex all the time, I would know how to do it right." Jack bragged, puffing up with pride in the slightest.

"Oh okay, Kim Kardashian. Tell me all about your sex life, would you?" Alex said, sarcasm laced in his words.

"I would make you see stars." Jack said, a bit breathy for his liking but his point got across nonetheless.

"What, during sex?" Alex said, seemingly taken aback. He looked directly in the elder's eyes

Jack nodded. "I would make your scream my name."

Alex started feeling uncomfortable, mostly in his pants. "You think about us having sex?"

Jack laughed. "I think about having sex with everyone, don't flatter yourself." And with that, Jack's old self was back and the sexually frustrated atmosphere passed.

It was fucking weird, and it got Alex thinking about his sex life, and what it would be like if Jack was introduced in it. Surely Jack had years of experience, he would make Alex feel good.

Jack could tell that's what Alex was thinking about, and that was exactly Jack's plan for today; wanting Alex to desire something from him.

"Alright, well you let me know if you wanna go on that date, 'kay?" Jack gave his best smile.

This was going to be so easy.
