Family Reunion

The Lies, The Deceit

After the movie Rose, Claudia and the kids went home. Rose was tired and she automatically went upstairs to crash in Tre's bed.

She fell asleep for about an hour when light from the hall poured into the room. Wiping her eyes she saw a brawny man's silhouette coming over towards the bed. He took off his coat and laid, down next to her. "Hey..." he said softly.

"Hi..." Rose smiled as she puckered her lips expecting a kiss from him. He slowly placed his lips over hers. When their lips parted Tre stared at his girlfriend who could barely open her eyes at all. "Hmm... how'd it go at the studio?" Rose asked.

"Ah, it went great. Yeah...we got a lot of stuff done today," Tre replied nervously.

"Oh that's good I'm still patiently waiting to hear your new stuff. I maybe your girlfriend, but I'm still your biggest fan," Rose giggled.

"I'm your biggest fan," Tre said and he kissed her again.

Tre got into bed beside her and for a few minutes everything was silent, "Tre?"

"Yeah..." he said and was shocked that she called him Frank again.

"What happened to Claudia's boyfriend?"

"I think they broke up, why?" Tre asked.

"Oh no reason, I was just curious is all...I love you, night," Rose said and she curled up next to him and rested her head on his chest. Rose had things on her mind before she fell into a slumber. She was so lucky to have a man like Tre and with the way things had unfolded it almost made her feel like a Priscilla Presley.

Tre had things on his mind as well. For hours he lay there unable to sleep. He couldn't get Rose off of his mind. He couldn't get Sarah off his mind. Why did he have to sleep with her?

It was three months after Rose had been released from hospital and she was almost completely healed but still quite severely scarred. Tre had been visiting Rose for the day as part of his usual routine of being around her.

"I'm leaving for the night man," Tre said to Billie Joe as he headed for the front door.

"Okay, about time," Billie Joe said with a grin.

"Take care of Rose for me," Tre said.

"Yeah man, I'm sure she'll live without you by her side every second of her life," Billie Joe laughed.

"Yeah, well see you later," Tre said and he hopped into his SUV. Billie Joe waved from the door and then turned around and rolled his eyes.

Tre popped a Rancid CD into the CD player of his SUV. He started bobbing his head crazily. He was so relieved his girlfriend was alive and slowly becoming healthy again. Not to say that it didn't depress him seeing the pain she was enduring dealing with her scars.

He had the intent of going home but while driving home he couldn't really pass up the bar. He stopped in and decided he would drink away the sadness he felt for the love of his life.

He went into the bar; it was a busy Friday night; not surprisingly a lot of town drunks were in here. Tre sat down at the bar and ordered a Tom Collins.

Tre had about six or seven poorly made Tom Collins before deciding he wanted to go home. They were playing crappy music in here and he was bored as fuck. As he was getting up from his stool and feeling a little bit tipsy he turned and smashed into someone. "Aw, shit I'm sorry..." Tre mumbled before noticing it was an attractive young woman he'd bumped into. Intoxicated and under the influence he squinted his eyes as he examined the woman in front of him. She was so familiar, she looked like Rose. In fact, he couldn't disagree that the woman was Rose.

"Oh hey Tre, what are you doing here? Picking up girls?" the woman asked looking at him suspiciously. The man in front of her was obviously drunk and she decided to let him in on who she was, in case he'd forgotten. "Sarah, I'm Billie's cousin," she said.

"Nah, I'm just having a few drinks. Nobody wants to pick me up anyways," Tre laughed, not registering whom she'd introduced herself as.

"I came here to pick up a guy..." Sarah said and she signaled to the bartender to give her a beer.

"Don't you have a boyfriend?" Tre inquired.

"Yeah I have him..." Sarah said and it didn't look like she was very content with just one man.

"Hmm..." Tre murmured, subtly thinking to himself what a slut she sounded like.

"Sit down and get drunk. I want to see if you do that YMCA thing again," Sarah smiled.

"Nah that was a one time deal. Next time I'll do it to a Freddy Mercury song..." Tre joked.

"Ah, you do that," Tom Collins," Tre said to the bartender.

He had one more, yes he did. And he had two more. Every time he tried to leave Sarah would insist he have another drink. Maybe she just didn't want to drink alone?

"I really gotta no gow. I mean 'go now'..." Tre slurred as he stood up from his stool lazily.

Sarah grabbed him by the arm to try and stop him. "Where do you think you're going?" The 21-year-old woman hadn't really drunken that much, only about two beers.

"I gonna go home..." Tre said with heavy eyes.

"You're not driving..." Sarah said and she stood up from her seat. "Come on lets get out of here." She helped Tre out of the bar and stopped him by his SUV. "Where are your keys?"

"Keys for wha...ah...oh they're in my pocket," Tre said as he propped his lazy drunken body up against the side of his SUV.

"Great," Sarah said and she dug around in his pant pockets in search of them.

Tre started laughing as he felt her hands inside his pockets it was tickling him to death and kind of turning him on. "Did ya find them yet?" Tre asked.

"Got them," Sarah said and she unlocked the passenger door. "Get in..." she order and Tre slowly responded. She gave him a push and closed his door before going around and unlocking the driver's side door and getting in.

"You gonna take me home?" Tre said looking at her and practically falling against her.

She started up the vehicle and sped out of the parking lot, "Yeah, of course I am..."

When they were driving back towards Tre's house Tre couldn't help but think about Rose. In fact it was something he was insistant on talking about. "I love your sister Sarah, she means everything to me. I just don't know what I'd do with out her," Tre said.

"Yeah, ah Rose is a nice girl," Sarah said. "She always kind of pissed me off though. I always felt like I was second best to her with my mom."

"Second best? Rose was always tellin me how her mom tweated 'er like crap..." Tre slurred.

"Yeah well I guess my mom needed a new punching bag to mentally abuse after I moved out," Sarah quirked harshly.

"Shit, I feel so...bad fer Rose," Tre said. "I think I wanna marry 'er. But don tell anyone I said that...okay Sar?" Tre begged drunkenly.

"Wow, okay I won't," Sarah said and she stared at the road in silence.

Tre was staring at her for a long while before he even noticed he was staring at her. But Sarah was actually very pretty. He hated to think it but a person can not help the way they think. He thought of Sarah as a prettier version of Rose.

"Youra hot... " Tre said drunkenly.

"Thanks..." Sarah said as she glanced over at him for a moment.

Tre then pushed her hair aside and started kissing her neck. What the hell was he doing? He had absolutely no idea, but at the moment he loved whatever this was.

Sarah then pulled off on the side of the road. "I want you... " she said before diving in and kissing Tre.

Sarah had managed to get Tre in the backseat of the SUV and the two went at it with passion. Well Tre did fall asleep about three times but that wasn't because he wasn't enjoying himself. Would Tre even remember this tomorrow?

The next morning Tre woke up with a throbbing head and he appeared to be sleeping in his car. This didn't faze him very much. But what did faze him was the sight of Sarah sleeping in the nude right next to him.

"Oh fuck..." is all Tre managed to say.

Sarah woke up and was not quite as surprised as the blue eyed drummer she had taken advantage of. "Morning... " Sarah said.

"Ah morning... " Tre said nervously. There was a few minutes of silence as he tried to decide what to say. "Did we sleep together?" he managed to choke out.

"Yep, and it was fucking awesome. You know I've always liked you Tre... "Sarah smiled.

"Oh my god what about Rose?" Tre said.

"What about Rose? She got what she deserves," Sarah smirked.

"What? What the fuck why are you saying that?" Tre said.

"Because, I banged you better then she ever could and you know it. Finally I'm not second best... " Sarah said.

"What? Fuck you're a bitch..." Tre said.

"Aw, Tre that hurts my feelings," Sarah said sarcastically.

"I need to go see her; I can't believe you got me to have sex with you!" Tre said feeling disgusted by it.

"You were moaning my name, it couldn't of been that bad. You'll moan my name every time we do this now," Sarah said.

"What every time? There isn't going to be more times," Tre said as he looked around the vehicle for his clothes. It was light outside but only a few cars would drive by on this quiet road.

"There'll be a lot more times Tre... " Sarah smirked sadistically. It was obvious she knew she had complete control over him.

"Stay the fuck away from me," Tre said as he put his shirt and boxers back on and jumped out of the car. A car drove by as he went around and hopped in the driver's seat. The keys still appeared to be in the ignition.

"Calm down baby, it was good just admit it," Sarah laughed.

"Fuck you! Get dressed, I'm driving you home," Tre said.

"Okay, take me home. But this isn't over Tre... if me and you are over then you and Rose are over too," Sarah said.

"What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"

"Just precisely what I said, that's why I choose the words," Sarah said and she put her clothes back on.

Tre glared at her in the rearview mirror and drove off. He didn't even know where Sarah's apartment was, and he didn't really care. All she told him was the name of the street. He didn't feel happy with her enough to drive her right to her building so instead when he found the street he just dropped her off on the corner and sped away.

Tre started crying his eyes out and he drove around thinking of what to do. He needed to get away again. He dialed up Billie Joe and told him that he was going to Hawaii for a couple of weeks with his kids. He asked Rose if she wanted to come but was almost certain she wouldn't want to. Just like he had thought she declined the invitation.

Rose found it slightly weird he didn't stop by to say good bye to her before leaving, but she shrugged it off.

Tre took off for New York by himself. He didn't want anyone he knew knowing his exact location. He felt like such a jerk over what he'd done. He just wanted to feel and treat himself like a piece of shit.

In the morning Rose woke up next to Frank and she smiled at first sight of him. Tre opened his tired eyes which had the biggest bags under them from lack of sleep and stress. He kissed her on the forehead and closed his eyes again.

"I want to get up. You gonna stay in bed?" Rose asked.

"Mmhmm," Tre said.

Rose smiled again and she slowly got up out of the bed. She realized she hadn't a change of clothes so she went downstairs in what Claudia had given her to wear just the night before.

"Morning," Rose said to Tre's ex-wife whom was sitting in the kitchen.

Claudia looked up from a magazine she was reading and smiled, "Morning."

"Where are the kids at?" Rose inquired as she sat down holding her pregnant belly.

"I believe they're playing in the backyard," Claudia said, looking down at her magazine again with a smile.

"So did they have a good time in Hawaii?" Rose asked.

"Hawaii?" Claudia questioned.

"Yeah, Frank went to Hawaii with both of them right?" Rose said with a confused look on her face.

"When?" Claudia said.

"They just got back yesterday didn't they?"

"No, Frank got back yesterday. I have no idea where he disappeared to for two whole weeks," Claudia said.

"Oh...hmm that's funny," Rose said and she looked down at the floor feeling hurt and wondering why he had lied to her.
