Reincarnate

The force of the chair leg going into my back knocked me into Alan. He gasped as his arms held me. The pain was absolutely unbearable. I wanted to fucking scream at the top of my lungs but I couldn't make a sound. I could feel the blood spilling out my mouth. I tried to grab Alan as my legs gave out but I couldn't. I didn't have the strength but he held me up. I looked at him through blurry eyes and I could see the horrified expression on his face and tears running down his cheeks. I saved him. I smiled.

"Baby..why?!?!"He sobbed as he dropped to his knees. I could feel the black out coming. My vision was getting spotty.

"C-cause I c-care..." I choked out before my head fell back and the darkness overcame me.

***Angelo POV***

I stared in absolute horror at the sight in front of me. Alan on the ground, breaking down cradling Kade in his arms.

Immediately I thought Kade was dead until I heard a very faint heartbeat. It was slow but still going. I knew I had to do something. So I yanked the wood out my leg, hissing in agony as I did and I crawled over to him. Alan was screaming at me. Making me even more horrified.

"Angelo do something!!!!!!!" His cheeks were soaking wet from tears and he sobbed uncontrollably. My heart ached as I pulled the leg out of Kade's back. He moved just a little but nothing solid.

"I can feed him my blood" I looked at Alan. We knew the risk. Just like me, Kade could die with it in his system because he's so close now. Alan stared at me and nodded. I took a deep breath before growing my fangs out. I bit into my wrist and tore the skin off. Immediately blood started pouring out but I knew I had to be quick or I would heal, just wasting more time. Without a second delaying I put my wrist up to his mouth. Not even 2 seconds later, Kade's small hands moved up to my wrist, gripping me as he sucked the blood out my veins. My heart took off and I smiled.

"Oh baby"Alan sighed in relief. A moment later, Kade's eyes opened. I pulled my wrist away from him and Alan cupped his cheek, still crying.

"Baby your so stupid!!! Why would you do that!?!"

****Kade POV****
I stared up at Alan as his tears fell on me. My heart was racing. I had no idea what the hell was going on. The pain in my back was no longer there. I no longer felt the wood sticking out. It was like...a miracle. I looked at my hands and noticed there was blood. I didn't answer Alan's question. I was too dumbfounded. I stared at the liquid on my hands in question.

"I fed you my blood..just in time" I turned to Angelo. He was smiling a little. I then looked up at Alan. He was looking..guilty. Then it hit me. He blames himself....I couldn't let him. This wasn't his fault. This was my stupid ass plan!

"I chose to take the hit Alan. Don't blame yourself in the slightest. I was my choice..and even if I...died...I wouldn't regret it" He pulled me into a tight hug and was crying in my shoulder. I wrapped my arms around him and rubbed his back soothingly.

"Thank you Kade" He said after he calmed down a little. I nodded and pulled away from him. I looked around and noticed the vampire was gone.

"Where did he go???" I said, a little panicked.

"He ran off, after you got stabbed. Probably back to Danny. We need to call Chris" Angelo said, standing up. I nodded in agreement and I stood up with Alan. He kept me close to him as we exited the classroom. We didn't know where he was, he could be lurking somewhere. So Alan put his arms around me, as if to shield me. We made it to the front doors and didn't notice any sign of him. Quickly we walked to Angelo's car. Alan slid in the back with me as Angelo got in the drivers seat and started the car.

"Call Chris" Angelo instructed Alan. He nodded then pulled out his phone, dialing a number and putting it up to his ear.

"Chris we were attacked at the school. One of Danny's guys posed a substitute. But somehow Kade picked him out" He briefed Chris. I could only hear faint talking. I couldn't really make out any words.

"And Chris...Kade jumped in front of the stake that was supposed to kill me" Alan said carefully. There was a long pause before I could hear Chris screaming on the other end. I flinched a little and glanced at Alan, who looked even more guilty than before. I reached my hand out for the phone. Alan didn't hesitate when giving it to me.

"Chris stop yelling at him!" I snapped and the screaming stopped.

"Kade you could have been killed! What the fuck were you thinking?!" He yelled at me. My heart dropped because that was the first time he's ever yelled at me. But he wasn't going to win. Not this one. So I raised my voice back at him.

"I was thinking about protecting my friend! Just like the rest of you! You guys are risking your lives by protecting me! Im not gonna stand back and feel useless and have to keeping worrying about me never seeing you and Austin again! I wasnt gonna stand back and watch my best friend die! I dont want to see any of my friends die! If it comes down to me dying to save you all, then I know what my choice is because I give a damn!" Everyone was completely silent. Deadly silent. Alan looked at me in bewilderment. Even Angelo looked at me in the mirror. Even I was shocked. I have never talked like that...ever...I never snapped at anyone before...and honestly, I felt like a different person.

"Put Alan back on please" Chris said quietly after a few minutes of silence. I handed the phone to Alan. He sat there and listened for a minute before hanging up.

"He wants us to move to his house. And he's sending Balz as back up"

"Balz?" I questioned. What kind of name is that. I heard Angelo chuckle before speaking.

"Chris created balz a little before me. The name says it all. Even though it's his real last name. Balz is pretty tough so it makes sense to send him. " Then it occurred to me. I never thanked Angelo for saving me.

"Thank you Ange. You saved my life. Im really grateful for that" I smiled and he diluted me before making a left.

"Pleasure. Just like you, I protect those I care about" He winked at me and I blushed. I laid my head on Alan's shoulder and took a deep breath. I just wanted to see Chris. I missed him so much my heart was aching. I missed his hugs. I missed his kisses. I missed seeing his goofy smile. I just missed him being here with me. I sighed at the butterflies swarming around in my stomach.
We pulled up to Chris's boarding house after stopping at Alan's to get my bag and somethings for Alan. Angelo put in the passcode and we walked through the gates. We walked up to the porch and Angelo pulled out a key, unlocking the door. Nothing really has changed since the last time I was here. I thought we were going to go to the living room but instead Angelo let me through a different hallway that led to a set of stairs.

"You'll be staying in Chris's room"Angelo said to me. Stopped at the first step. I looked at him, slightly panicked.

"Has anyone ever been in there?" I asked. There was a pause before both Angelo and Alan shook their heads.

"Thrilling isn't it. It's like going into the secret lair!" Alan giggled before pushing me upstairs. There were many doors along the walls of the hallway but there was one door at the very end that was opposite of us. I had a feeling it would be Chris's room. We walked down to it. I noticed it had "Motionless" painted on it in elegant cursive.

"Motionless?" I asked and looked at Angelo. He chuckled.

"Yeah it's the nickname he picked up in his years" He said opening the door.

"Why? What does it mean?" I asked, walking into the room.

"Because he can kill you without even moving from his spot" I looked at him weirdly before looking at the room. Saying it was big would be an understatement. The walls were black, of course. The floor was wood but there was a big white carpet in the middle of the floor. I looked up and there was a huge, fucking huge bed pushed up against the wall. It was stacked with pillows that were covered with a black soft looking blanket that hung off the sides. There were two nightstands on either side of the bed with two small lamps with black beads gaming off the rim of the shades. I looked over and there was a white painted fireplace with a massive flat screen tv hanging above the fireplace and the mantle. I looked over to the other side and there was a closet with a slide door that was slightly open. Next to it was another door that was open revealing a dark bathroom.

"Wow..."I whispered and I heard Alan laugh.

"I know right. This is better than my entire house!" He laughed, patting my shoulder.

"That's Chris for you. Well enjoy Kade. We'll be getting settle in our rooms" Angelo said before him and Alan left me alone in the big room. I set my bag down and walked over to the bed, crawling on it. The blanket was satin. It felt so soft I practically collapsed and closed my eyes. There was a faint hint of Chris's Cologne but you could tell he hasn't been here for awhile. I sighed and crawled up the bed to the pillows and laid down. The remote to the TV was sitting on the nightstand. I chuckled, imagining Chris laying here and watching TV. He didn't seem like a TV person. I sighed as my heart fluttered just thinking about him. I grabbed the remote and turned the TV on. I flipped through the channels, finding absolutely nothing before just settling on the news. I sighed and laid on my back, closing my eyes. I didn't realize I was tired until I felt myself going into comatose.

I dreamt of absolutely nothing that night.

It's been almost 2 weeks since that vampire attacked us and we moved to Chris's house. I heard nothing from Chris or Austin which had me worried like a motherfucker. They wouldn't let me go back to school because it was too dangerous. I barely even left the house. But today, I was determined. And luck was on my side.

I was laying in Chris's bed, nodding my head to music, singing along quietly when Alan walked into the room. I pulled my headphones out and sat up.

"Chris wants to see you" He smiled and my heart literally stopped. I was going to see Chris. After a long 2 weeks of not hearing from him I was gonna see him. I practically jumped out of his bed and pulled my converse on. Grabbing my black jacket, I followed Alan out. We were met downstairs by Angelo. I followed them outside impatiently to Angelo's car.

"Come on come on come!!! " I was bouncing in my seat as we drove out the gate and down the street.

"Kade calm down, it's not that far" Angelo chuckled. Alan was mimicking me. If I was going to see Chris, he was going to see Austin. So we both had something to be excited about.

The drive was taking fucking forever but finally we pulled into a dirt parking lot? I didn't know what it was. There were thick trees in front of us.

"Come on" Angelo said as he turned the car off. I slipped out and stretched before walking around the car to the front.

"Well?" I asked, a little impatient.

"Just wait" Angelo reassured me. I waited a few seconds before I heard rustling in the forests. It was like...running...really fast running. My heart accelerated as someone descended. He had really long back hair that was covered by a beanie and black paint around his eyes. He looked small. Maybe my size.

"Ricky" Angelo smiled before they hugged each other. Then another one followed. He had black and white hair...dude looked like Sweeney Todd. Which was cool.

"You must be Kade" He looked at me before reaching his hand out. I took it and we shook briefly.

"Yes that's me" I said quietly.

"Im Ghost or Devin. Which ever you prefer" He smiled sweetly and I couldn't help but smile back at him. Soon there were many vampires showing up. But only two caught my eye. My heart exploded as Chris and Austin appeared. Their clothes were dirty and torn I felt bad but I didn't care. I ran towards Chris and jumped into his open arms. I threw my arms around his neck and pulled him into a tight hug. He laughed before wrapping his arms around my small frame.

"I missed you I missed you I missed you!" I repeated as I hugged him. I finally felt happy. He was here with me. I felt as if I was gonna cry.

"I missed you too baby" He said softly, nuzzling my neck. I cant even describe the feelings going through me. It felt like pure bliss. A warm feeling tingled in my stomach. I pulled back and cupped his cheeks. Not even caring who was watching, I leaned forward and forced my lips on his. I gripped his hair as I took over. Our lips were glued then he parted his lips and I slipped my tongue in his mouth. His hands were gripping my back.

"Jesus Kade don't suck the life out of him!" I heard Austin chuckle behind me. I pulled back and turned, sticking my tongue out at him. He only smiled before wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me from Chris.

"Hey asshole!!" I laughed and tried to reach for Chris but he only laughed at me.

"I deserve love too!" Austin hugged me tight around my waist. I laughed and leaned into him. Then we joined the group of vampires. I held Chris's hand as we stood in a circle. Then I thought of something.

"Where's your friend...uh Balz?" I looked at Chris. He looked at me in bewilderment. I started to hear whispers within the circle.

"He never showed?"

"No" Alan answered before I did. But I nodded anyway in agreement.

"That bastard got him then!" Ghost snapped and his fangs immediately shot out. The whispers began to get louder. I gripped Chris's hand tighter.

"Alright shut up!" Chris snapped and immediately it got quiet. So bad ass. "We will get Balz back alive. All we have to do is find where Danny is" He said calmly.

"That won't be necessary mate" I froze. I recognized that British accent. And I wasn't the only one. There were low growls coming from the circle as we broke into a straight line. And sure enough standing in front of us was Danny. Behind him a big group of vampires, I recognized Mr. Bruce, the one who attacked us at school. Our eyes met and he smiled wide.

"How's your neck doing?" I called out to him and he scowled at me. I could hear Alan chuckling but it stopped as soon as someone was thrown on the ground. He had two piercings on the top of his lips and very large gauges. He must have been Balz. I could hear the hisses and snarles coming from my line. I looked up at Chris and he was looking forward. I followed his gaze and saw he was looking at Danny, glaring at him

"Give us Balz Danny and Maybe we won't consider killing you" Austin spoke calmly.

"Then give me Chris. Then you'll get Balz" I stiffened and glared at Danny. He smiled and winked at me. I could feel the anger building up inside of me. Chris let go of hand and took a step forward. I reached for him but I felt a pair of arms around me, holding me back. I looked up and saw Angelo. He looked at me sadly. I began to fight against him.

"No let me go Angelo! Chris!" I cried as I tried reaching for him but he kept his back turned. I saw Danny grinning which only made me even more pissed. Angelo didn't release his grip. Tears streamed down my cheeks. My heart was pounding painfully against my chest as I fought harder.

But something stopped me in my tracks. I heard the sound of gasping...as if someone was gasping for air. Like your airways were closing up and you tried desperately to breathe but you couldn't. I looked pass around Chris and I saw every vampire on the other side were dropping to their knees, some of them were clutching their throats. I looked at Danny who was scratching at his throat. Clawing really. I wondered what the fuck was going on. I then looked at Chris and he hand was reached out, as of to grip someones neck.....his telekinesis!! He was using it!!

"I can't hold all of them much longer so go!" He said in a very concentrated tone. Soon Angelo let go of me and was gone. I saw a blur of vampires rush pass me and I looked at Chris in absolute astonishment. He knew what he was doing all along...This man was truly amazing...I snapped out of my train of thought as I looked at the vampire on the ground. Balz. He was tied up with ropes. He honestly looked weak and looked as if he was about to die. I decided to be useful. I crept over to him and grabbed his arms. He looked up at me.

"What are you doing?" He whispered weakly. I quickly untied the ropes and put his arm around my shoulder and mine around his waist, pulling him up.

"I'm getting you out of here" I whispered back and begin to pull him towards the car. We reached the car.

"Shit! Angelo has the keys" I sighed. Then I began to pull him away from the car and into the street.

"Just leave me and get out of here" He shoved me weakly but I was stronger in this situation. I kept my arms around him and kept pulling him.

"Not a chance. You'll die if I leave you alone" I muttered. Suddenly we were knocked violently to the ground. My arms let go of Balz and I rolled away from him. I hissed as I stopped on my back. I looked over and saw Balz a few feet away from me. I looked up and saw a vampire from Danny's crew. I couldn't process who he was. I saw him walking towards us and I began to panic. Balz was not moving and his eyes were closed. I looked around for anything that might help. I scanned until I saw a broken beer bottle a few feet away. And an idea popped in my head. Quickly I got up and reached for it. I grabbed a shard and without even thinking I dragged it across the palm of my hand. Oh it stung so bad. My entire body spasmed and I whimpered. I crawled over to Balz and slapped my palm over his mouth. Immediately his eyes opened and quickly turned. I could see my blood pulsing through the veins on his eyes. I looked over and saw the vampire staring at us in shock but he quickly recovered and started walking, faster.

"Come on he's coming!" I shouted at Balz. The veins pulsed faster and I could tell he was getting his strength back, suddenly he pushed me off and tackled the vampire to the ground. Gripped my hand as I stood up, watching them struggle on the ground. Balz was screaming at me to run. I ran a few feet before stopping. I couldn't just leave him to fight alone. He was still weakened. I had to help. Vampires die by wood...I'm fucking surrounded by wood! I ran up to a tree and jumped up, gripping the branch, hissing as the wood pressed against my wound. I wiggled a few times before it broke off. I quickly ran back and saw Balz pinned down on his back.

"Hey!!!" I called out, hiding the branch behind my back. The vampire's head snapped up and he grinned at me. He stood up and stepped over Balz, walking towards me. A surge of fear washed through my as he bared his fangs at me. He approached me and grabbed my neck, gripping me tight and cutting off my air supply.

"Your making this to easy" He leaned in closed. I looked at Balz who was silently getting up.

"Yeah....you..are" I choked out and then tossed the branch to Balz who was now behind the vampire. I heard Balz growl as he shoved the branch into the vampire. His eyes went wide and he gasped. His hand loosened on my neck as he looked down at the branch sticking out his heart. He leg go of me and stumbled backwards, attempting to pull the branch out. He dropped to his knees, gasping for air as he fell over. His eyes turned white as he hit the ground. He had stopped moving all together. I was certain he was dead. I looked at Balz as he looked at me. He nodded confirming my silent question. He then ripped a apart of his shirt and grabbed my wounded hand. Gently he wrapped the ripped cloth around my hand.

"Thanks man..you saved my ass" He said as he tied the cloth, making it sting slightly.

"It's no problem. I'm happy to help out" I smiled at him.

"The fighting stopped...they are looking for us" Balz said quietly. I nodded and followed him back. I didn't realize how far we really were. I was too focused on saving my friend. We reached the car within 10 minutes. I saw Chris pacing a few feet away. We approached him and his head snapped up. Relief washed over his face as we walked towards me. Chris pulled me into his arms and hugged me. I sighed contently, snuggling into his chest.

"Where we're you two?" He asked, pulling back from me.

"I took a chance and got Balz out during the fight. We were getting somewhere but I guess this vampire knew we left and followed us" I explained to him.

"He was gonna kill us but Kade fed me his blood, giving me enough strength to hold him off." Balz added. I held up my wounded hand.

"I broke a branch off the tree and distracted the vampire so Balz could stake him" I ended it. I looked around and saw everyone with shocked and impressed looks on their faces. I could feel a blush coming. Chris tightened his arms around me.

"The kid saved both our asses. He's a keeper" Balz said and that did it. I blushed and hid in his chest. I heard Alan squealing.

"My baby is a scapper!!" He happily yelled. I heard Chris laugh.

"Who said he's yours?" Chris asked Alan.

"I did Chris. You can share". Then I remembered something.

"What happened? Where's Danny?" I asked, waiting for it.

"He got away. Along with 4 others. But I doubt he'll be bothering us anytime soon. We managed to kill half his crew" Chris grinned. There was a howl of laughter and rejoice.

"Let's go get rid of the bodies" Chris enclined his head. I held his hand as he led us to the battle field. I saw Ricky holding a gas can and he begin throwing the gasoline a over the pile of bodies. I almost cringed at the gruesome scene. Ricky tossed the can and then Ghost lit a match. He then tossed it on the pile. Immediately flames erupted high off the ground. We all cheered and howled. I felt as if I could dance around the flames.

"To our new friend! Whose braver than anyone I've ever seen! Kade!!" Ricky chanted and raised his hand up into a fist.

"To Kade!!!" They all screamed and I blushed, leaning into Chris's side. He laughed and wrapped his arms around me. Leaning down and whispering.

"I told you" He kissed my ear. "You won't be alone anymore"
