Status: Here's another oldie I'm reposting to Mibba. I found this on my old Quizilla account. I believe it was the first original story I posted to the internet. Probably written in 2006/2007

Ineffable Plan

Thirty-Four

Suddenly I found myself in the center of a large room surround by cloaked men. They gasped at the sight of me and most of the men took a step back. The one who had brought me here, Eisle, abruptly released me and he too took a step back.

"This is her?" I heard a voice boom from behind me. I spun around and came face to face with a monster. The room went cold and I couldn't help but start to tremble before him.

"This is the one who shall eradicate our kind." He laughed a deep throaty laugh. "This pathetic child." He spat venomously. "And where's the vampire?

Everyone's attention turned to Eisle. "We only need to destroy one of them. The prophecy foretold that only with her could he…"

"I know what the prophecy foretold!!!" The man bellowed. His voice ringing in the large hall. "I wanted them both."

"Brother…" A soft voice spoke. It was the man standing next to him. "The girl will be sufficient. The vampire is not a threat as long as she's dead."

He nodded and turned back to me. He grabbed my chin in his cold clammy hand. I tried not to scream as he dug the sharp nail of his forefinger down the side of my face causing blood to ooze out. "Do you know why you're here? What you're going to die for?"

I didn't answer and I immediately regretted it. I hit the wall with a load bang that echoed throughout the hall. The monster stood about twenty feet from me. He looked amused. "Didn't the vampire tell you? Didn't he deliver the book to you?"

Again I didn't respond and again I paid dearly for it. I landed against my shoulder. I was sure something was broken.

"Let me illuminate things for you."

Once again I found myself hurtling through the air. I landed on a hard throne-like chair, which slid back a few feet from the force and slammed against the wall.

"Comfy?" The monster asked with a sly smile.

I let out a piercing scream as thick vine ropes coiled around my wrist and dug into my skin causing little droplets of blood to drip down the arm of the chair.

"What is this?" I said through clenched teeth.

"Please hold all questions 'til the end."
