When Past Comes Present
Talk With Matt
It had been 2 weeks since that night between me and Jimmy. We had started talking again.
When we was all hanging out together me and him was texting eachother. No one knew about what
me and him had started doing. Every other night Jimmy was over at my place staying the night with
me. He would get there after Harmony had went to sleep and left before she woke up. As far as I knew no one knew about mine and his affair we had going on.
Tonight everyone was over Brian's for a party. Harmony was hanging out with Brian's
younger sister McKenna. I was standing over to the side of the kitchen talking to Michelle.
She was telling me how LeAnna had try to kill Jimmy 2 days ago. I looked over at Jimmy as
she told me about how his marriage with LeAnna was a wreck. They always faught and she
would even threaten to kill herself if he ever left her. It was clear that Jimmy never loved her
from the things people told me. "Yeah and one time Jimmy called her Demonica during sex" she
said laughing "Isnt that crazy Monica" she said shaking her head "Were did he even get the name
Demonica. We dont know anyone named that" I looked back at her shocked at what she had just
said to me. "My name in Demonica" I told her flatly. Her eyes went wide and her mouth opened slightly as it spread into a smile "So your the girl that Jimmy was always comparing LeAnna too and was talking about how perfect you was and how he missed you and shit" Matt had heard her telling me this and walked over to me "Hey Monica we need to talk" he said giving a side ways glance to Michelle. I nodded and waved by to Michelle. She had just helped me figure something out. Tonight I would talk to Jimmy. He needed to know
about his daughter.
Matt led me outside to the patio. He lit up a cig and took a big draw from it. "Monica I have kept this secret for to long. We need to talk." he said in a serious tone leaning against the railing. "okay lets talk" I said nervously. What could he possibly want to talk about. He sighed and licked his lips "Me and Jimmy had a talk the other night. And he pointed some things out to me. It actually has me quiet curious." he said raising an eyebrow looking at me. "Okay and what is it you want to know" I asked trying to search my brain to see where this was getting at. "Is Jimmy Harmony's dad? I mean her eyes her features. She looks just like him when he was that age. You know you can tell me Monica and I wont tell Jimmy until your ready" I sighed defeatingly. I figured it would be Brian being the one who finally figured it out. I looked up at Matt as tears filled my eyes.
"Yes. When I moved away i found out that I was pregnant. I dropped out of school got a job and a place of my own. I saved up money so I could come back to California one day. I didnt expect to run into any of you ever again. Its all shocking to me to see you guys" I said honestly. It was a relief to finally get it off my chest. "Her name is Harmony Rain Sullivan" i finished it with and looked up at him. "Are you sure that Jimmy is her dad" I was shocked at what he asked me. "Yes I know he is." I said kinda rude. How could he accuse me of something like that "How" he asked crossing his arms over his chest. "Because Jimmy is the only man I ever slept with." He stood there quietly and smiled down at me "So she really is my neice. Does she know" I shook my head "No. She has no clue. Like i said. I never thought I would see any of you ever again"
