Nightshade: Kiss of Death (Book #1)

Death is overrated, it's as simple as that. You don't see a white light or a little dot at the end of the tunnel. It's just complete blackness. An abyss of silence that swallows you whole while your lungs feel as though they're about to burst. I would know. Of course I was only four when I made my trip to the Death Realm. The place where the dearly departed go to see if they get to chill in the clouds or receive a one-way ticket to the devil's personal sauna. Sounds marvelous right? And who owns this magical kingdom of black void, you may ask. None other than the Goddess of Death herself otherwise known as the Norse Goddess Hel. Of course there are the few who are lucky enough to be given a second chance at life. No they don't get reincarnated into a tree or an animal, hey get turned into Nightshades. People who get sent back acquire certain...gifts. Let's just say that not everyone uses them for good.
