So Kiss Me Goodbye

"Ow, ow, Lilly, ow, this, ow, better be, ow, worth it." Shelby complained.

I couldn't blame her; she had three elbows in her side, none of them being hers.

"It'll be worth it, the barrier gives us a better view of the band, i.e. William."

Shelby sighed. "Why couldn't we be in the back with the other boys?"

"Because there's no good view from there."

Because I promised I'd be in the audience.

"Oh bull-" She was cut off by the lights dimming.

Screams erupted around me as the figures of the band emerged in the darkness.

Will's silhouette caught my eyes.

Pre-teen girls screamed I love you to him; I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

He got through a few of the Almost Here classics making me melt.

Pretty soon he had gotten through most of Santi and the show was almost over.

It wasn't till he sang 40 Steps did he see me in the crowd.

His eyes never left mine as he sang.

The few around me to notice this glanced at me from time to time curiously.

Ending the song he sent me a wink and the show ended.

Miraculously Shelby hadn't been swallowed by the crowd and we both made it to the stage door quite alive.

We flashed our passes and walked into the dressing room.

"It's Lilly and Shelby!" Gabe exclaimed, hugging us both.

"Hey Lilly, haven't seen you in a while." Mike said walking up with the others minus Will behind them.

I smiled. "Yeah I know, you guys were great tonight."

A voice that didn't belong to any of them replied. "Thanks."

Will walked in at that moment, grinning happily.

He quickly wrapped his arms around me, spinning me around in the hug.

As he put me down I realized just how tall he was, and not in comparison to me.

I still hadn't let go of him, feeling him laugh.

"You don't mind me all sweaty from the show?"

I quickly shook my head. "Only you."

I nearly kissed him when Patrick wailed out. "Ew Pete, make them stop!"

Pete quickly ran up and threw me over his shoulder.

"Ah, Pete, put me down!"

He laughed manically. "Never!"

"I. Hate. You. Pete." I said between giggles.

"Oh you hate me do you? Well fine then, Bill you take her." Pete said, doing something I never thought he'd do.

He threw me at Will.

I squeezed my eyes shut, thankful the airborne feeling that surrounded me was replaced by two warm arms.

"You can open your eyes." Will said.

Obeying him, I did, seeing him holding me tightly.

"You don't know how happy I am you caught me." I murmured shakily.

He sat me down on the couch next to Shelby.

"Having fun?" I asked, interrupting her conversation with Ryan.

She sent me the look saying 'interrupt us again and you might lose something important'.

I edged away, bumping into Will.

"Hello love; long time no see."

"Indeed it is." I replied.

He smiled, wrapping his arm around me.

I leaned my head on his shoulder, trying to rest but my heart was beating too fast.

"So, do you have any plans tomorrow?" He asked.

I shook my head. "No, well, I kind of have to check in with my editor sometime tomorrow, but other than that I'm free."

"Good." He said. "Cause that's when our first official date is."

It was then I noticed everyone had retreated into their own conversations.

"You know, I still owe you that kiss I promised you earlier."

Will grinned and leaned down, touching my lips and making me melt.
