So Kiss Me Goodbye

Chapter 4

"Lilly?"

"The one and only." I replied, fidgeting a little with my bag.

My awkwardness seemed to come out in the presence of his friends.

"So you did meet a chick!" The one to his right exclaimed.

"Shut up Sisky." He muttered, turning backed to me with a light in his eyes and his eyebrow raised. "Lilly, don’t tell me we’re the one’s you’re interviewing."

I smirked at him. "Okay."

Silence.

More silence.

"That’s not funny." He stated, obviously biting back a grin.

Typical.

"You know it is." I smirked, walking over. "So can we start?"

"Where should we go?" The one with The Academy Is… shirt on asked.

How did I let the obvious slip by me?

At least now I recognized them and remembered their names.

"59 Diner!" The Butcher yelled, becoming quiet as everyone looked at him. "What? I didn’t have any breakfast."

I shrugged. "Sounds good to me, all I had was coffee."

~x~

Three hours later I was laughing at travel stories and enjoying being with the guys.

The Butcher never ceased to crack me up after he attempted to make his chicken strips dance.

Mike and Michael, who insisted I call him Chislett, made it difficult to interview them when they attempted to ask me questions when I paused for breath.

Sisky was the only one that made it remotely easy to do my job as he spent most of his time trying to draw stick figures of me and Will making out.

Out of all the interviews I had done they went down as one of the funnest just by being normal cool guys instead of stuck up rockstars.

Doing the interview with Will right next to me was a bonus, but mostly he was just a giant distraction.

On occasion his hand would brush lightly against my thigh, accidentally, but when I’d look up he’d have that faint smile playing on his lips

It wasn’t till I ran out of battery on my tape recorder did I realize we’d have to call it quits if I wanted to write up my article.

William looked over at me, somehow knowing, and called for the check.

"Aw, do we have to finish? I was having so much fun." Mike moped.

"Well maybe Lilly wouldn’t mind hanging out with us tonight."

I looked over at The Butcher questioningly.Michael Chislett decided to elaborate.

"We have a show tonight, and just so happen to have an extra ticket and backstage pass that might find their way to you."

I grinned, somewhat surprised. "Really?"

"Really really." William nodded, resting his chin on my shoulder.

Smiling, we all walked out of the diner, much to the relief of the waitresses I’m sure.

"You’re looking good." I stated randomly, looking at Will.

He smirked, wrapping his arm around my shoulders. "So are you."

I laughed to myself and tried to rephrase the words.

"That’s not what I meant."

Will let out a mock gasp. "So you mean I don’t look good? I’m hurt."

"What I meant to say, is that your battle scars are healing nicely."

Then I added for his sake. "And you look better than good."

Will grinned. "Well, my eye’s practically fine, but the cut on my lip is a bit of a hindrance."

"A hindrance to what?" I asked with an eyebrow raised.

"This."

With a simple kiss he had me in the palm of his hand.

"Not much of a hindrance." I replied, trying to keep my voice level.

With a smile he pulled me closer. "Your worth it."
