"Lani, you have to decide, you have said something negative about every dress you have tried on" Nathalie said, Leilani sighed and sat down on the bench
"I hate shopping, I hate dresses"
"im sure Sid wont mind if you wear jeans" Nathalie said sitting down next to her "where are you guys going?"
"Isabela"

"that place is really nice, really good"
"expensive?"
"umm..." Nathalie said, Leilani looked at her "yes"
"ugh Aunt Nathalie"
"look sweetheart, if you are going to date Sidney"
"we arent 'dating' im only here for 2 weeks"
"ok....if you are going to go on 'dates' with Sidney you have to understand he is going to spoil you rotten, and pay for everything" Nathalie said "he is going to take you to expensive places on dates and do all kinds of things for you, thats just how he is" she said, Leilani sighed
"what am I doing? I dont belong with someone like him"
"like what? amazing, caring, handsome, talented, smart, nice?" Nathalie asked "Look at me" she said,Leilani looked over at her "i dont know what kind of guys you dated in Hawaii, but I do know your parents didnt like them.....Sidney isnt anything like those guys I have heard of, your dad made a comment to Mario when he was here in 2009 and he said 'I wish Lani could find a guy like Sidney'" she said, leilani looked at her
"daddy liked him?"
"yes a lot, he talked so highly of you to Sidney back in 2009" she said
"Sidney did tell me he met dad" she said with a smile, Nathalie smiled, Leilani stood up "ok lets find a dress not only for this date but for daddy" she said, Nathalie smiled and stood up, they walked into Nordstrom and straight for the cocktail dresses, Nathalie held up a few dressed and Leilani shook her head no. She stopped and looked at a aqua dress before holding it up
"its perfect" Nathalie said with a smile, Leilani looked at the dress and smiled "try it on?"
"ok" Leilani said walking to the fitting room, Nathalie sat down and waited a few minutes before Leilani walked out
"oh my gosh Lani" she said
"is it ok?"
"you look beautiful" Nathalie said trying not to cry, Leilani chuckled and turned to look in the mirror "its simple but so beautiful, that color brings out your eyes" she said Leilani smiled
"is the color ok?"
"oh yes"Nathalie said with a smile

"did you guys have fun?" Mario asked
"ya" Leilani said running up stairs to her room, Mario looked at Nathalie, she smiled
"wait till you see her" she said "she looked so beautiful"
"Lexi" Leilani said knocking on the door, Alexa opened the door and smiled "help me please" she said, Alexa giggled and opened the door Stephanie smiled and held up the curling iron
"we were hoping you would ask" she said, Leilani giggled and walked in
"you cant look until we are done, be still" Alexa said pinning some of the hair back
"Sidney is here, you guys" Leilani said
"he can wait" Stephanie said putting the final touches of make up on her
"hey guys" taylor said walking in "wow"
"what?" Leilani said getting nervous
"you are pretty but made up I cant even take my eyes off of you" Taylor said, Alexa and Stephanie giggled "Sidney is going to have a heart attack"
"ok put the dress on...dont look" Stephanie said pushing everyone into the bathroom, Leilani slipped the dress on, and slid on the clear 2 inch heels
"ready?" Alexa asked
"ready" Leilani said, Alexa opened the door and stepped into the room
"wow" Stephanie said
"can I see now please" Leilani begged
"yes here" Alexa said pulling her to the mirror, she looked up and gasped
"you like?" Stephanie asked
"who am I" Leilani said turning to look at herself in the mirror
"see what can happen when you wear more than a bathing suit, sandals, tank tops and shorts" Stephanie said with a smile
"you put a flower in my hair"
"your hawaiian, its the perfect touch to the dress" Alexa said, Leilani smiled and hugged her cousins
"we need to get you to Sidney" Taylor said with a smile, the girls walked out of the room as Leilani continued to stare at herself in the mirror
"come on Lani" Alexa yelled, Leilani turned and walked out of the room, as she hit the stairs Sidney stood up, his mouth hung open, she smiled as her cheeks turned a light pink

"you look beautiful" Mario said hugging her

"Sid, arent you going to say anything?" Taylor asked
"what?" Sidney said shaking the thoughts out of his head "oh umm, you look beautiful Leilani" he said taking her hand
"thank you" she said Lauren walked in the house and stared at the couple in front of her
"Lauren" Nathalie warned, Lauren looked at her mom then back to Sidney and Leilani
"you two are gorgeous together" she said, Sidney smiled and looked at Leilani
"we better get going" Sidney said "I wont have her home too late" he said, Mario chuckled and shrugged

"Do I look ok?" Leilani asked getting out of the car "is the dress too much, or is it not enough?" she asked, Sidney chuckled

"and so are you" Sidney said, she blushed and took in a deep breath "Vero is one of my best friends, she is like my big sister, she has been dying to get to know you all day" he said, Leilani chuckled "and Catherine is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet" he added, Leilani nodded "come on" he said taking her hand, she smiled and walked side by side with him.
"Sid over here" Vero said waving, Sidney smiled and cleared his throat
"if she gets to be too much just kick me" he whispered

"you will see" he said, Leilani narrowed her eyes at Sidney but quickly smiled when everyone at the table stood up "You remember Kris, his wife Catherine, and Marc" Sidney said, Leilani nodded "This is Marc's wife Vero, Vero this is Leilani"
"oh my gosh its so nice to meet you" Vero said walking around the table, she hugged her tightly, Leilani chuckled and patted her back
"she likes to hug" Marc said, Vero pulled away and hugged Sidney. Once they sat down Leilani started to settle down, her heartbeat went back to normal.

"what are you guys doing the rest of the night?" Kris asked as they walked out of the restaurant
"I think we might go for a walk"
"we have to get together again before you leave" Catherine said
"that would be nice" Leilani said with a smile
"alright well we need to get home to Stella" Vero said hugging Sidney "it was so nice to meet you" she said hugging Leilani

"you guys come over sunday, we dont have a game" Kris said
"we will be getting home saturday night" Marc said, Kris shrugged
"ya it will be fun, we can get all the guys over and go swimming and stuff" Catherine said, Sidney looked at Leilani

"can I put my flip flops on?" she asked, Sidney chuckled and unlocked his car, she grabbed her aqua colored flip flops and slipped them on before shutting the car door "lead the way" she said, he took her hand and they quietly walked towards the water "this is beautiful" she said sitting down on the bench, she looked out at the water and smiled
"its one of my favorite places in Pittsburgh" he said putting his arm around her, she smiled and rested her head on his shoulder
